The current Yelp! rating is not indicative of the service or experience here. It seems everyone…read morerating poorly are angry they weren't allowed to bring in outside food. Maybe because I went to a matinee on a weekday, I wasn't searched. But I also brought a very small, clear bag that showed I was only carrying the bare essentials. The ticket prices (I saw two movies) are the lowest I've seen, around 12 bucks. I realize they are more expensive for evening shows, but this is still beyond reasonable. The theaters are large and the recliners are comfy. They have stadium seating and some theaters have partitions. They have swivel tables for food. In the beginning of the show, if you order at the concession stand, they'll bring your food to you. I had a couple of their drinks (yes, you can have cocktails while you watch). They are sugary and nothing spectacular, but that's okay. It's a theater staffed by high school and college aged students, not cocktail connoisseurs. I was hungry between movies, so I had some of their cheese fries. Again, okay. The fries themselves were hot and well seasoned, but I could have done without all the nacho cheese and ranch dressing (I realize that's the appeal for some people). For a large plate of cheese fries and a double shot drink, I paid about 38 bucks. Honestly, that isn't crazy to me given what I ordered. They also have popcorn, pretzels (which is what I wanted, but they were unable to make them that day), hotdogs, pizza, burgers. They also have places to sit in the lobby as well as a small table you can park at to eat. Everyone on staff was super nice and helpful. Some of them were very conversational about the films playing. The auditoriums were clean, as were the bathrooms. I am pleased with my experience here and think this was just the first of many matinees in my future.

Love having this gem in Hopkinsville. Would much rather take my kids here than Clarksville Regal…read more Way less crowded, clean bathrooms and nice decor. I appreciate the investment made into the community. Visuals and sound are hard to beat. Would absolutely recommend Showbox!

I remember when is was just one screen and the upper level was a balcony. It went through some bad years but the previous owners converted it to 3 screens and kept it going. It is now under new ownership. The staff is very friendly and the popcorn is fresh. They get an extra star for this alone. So many theaters, including one in Jackson, get their popcorn delivered in bags. Snacks are reasonably priced. The theaters themselves are okay. They are clean and the seats are comfortable. The sound proofing in the walls seems pretty good. I did not notice any sound from the other theaters bleeding through during any of my visits. They loose a star for the screens. They are very small but that is not why I am deducting. This is a small theater so I did not go in expecting a giant IMAX screen. I subtracted a star because the upstairs screen has several wrinkles and uneven spots. Movies are a visual medium and this type of flaw in the screen is very distracting. The downstairs screens are high up on the wall and I had to crane my neck and look up to see the movie. Also, the image on the screen had a faint sort of out of focus "ghosting" quality to it. That's when you see two images that don't quite come together into a single focused image. I don't know if that had to do with the odd viewing angle or not but it was distracting. The movies are current and varied. In the old days the movies were months old and many popular hit movies never made it to Milan at all. Finally, the Ritz gets an extra special compliment for putting up a big, can't miss it "No Cell Phones" sign. So many theaters want to ignore this issue, but mobile devices are the scourge of modern movie going. The Ritz owners should be thanked for making an effort.

Make sure to get there early or else you'll be stuck in a long line at the concession stands. Cheeseburger was some of the best I've had in a long time, and so inexpensive. I heard the pizzas are delicious as well. If you are staying for back to back screenings, I recommend grabbing an ice cream cone during the break. I watched Skyscraper and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Picture quality is impeccable, although I did have a hard time hearing from the speakers. Pro tip: bring an old school radio or turn on the speakers in your car and tune into FM for some sound enhancement. What a little gem in Western KY! Next time bring your significant other to create your own Grease drive-in moment, or alternatively your family for some wholesome fun!

First off the owner did not like my review, but it's the truth. The previous owners took great care their customers And always valued their feedback. This one does not I have ate the at Caver city drive-in for many years under the previous owners. They were what I would consider the second best burger in Western Kentucky only behind but now I would rather eat a McDonald's burger the meat did not have a content which made the burger, dry and stiff, and tasted premade. I also ordered a grilled cheese for my son. It was cold. Couple slices of cheese slapped on a bun tasted like it was microwaved. We also ordered two things of wedges. They were dry and tasted like they was cooked hours ago they taste tasted like they had been sitting under a warmer there was roughly 5-6 wedges and these wedges were extremely small. I made my order 15 minutes before we got there walked in 20 minutes to get my order which was inside a hot box. I watched them put it in there while I was waiting in line. As soon as I paid, they should've checked and seeing if that was my order in the box instead, I waited an additional 10 minutes, for my food we got to the drive-in at approximately 6 PM three hours before the movie There was two people in front of me in line. I used to love the burgers, the pizza the atmosphere but now I will not go back and I will tell everybody this place is no longer what it used to be.
