Very fun spot with a great layout. I love coming here for hickies and dry humps (it's been my fav event since the el Camino days) but the last "day party" was a bit of a bust in my opinion. The bathrooms were covered in throw up and the staff solution was to just close the door - I'm talking my multiple stalls and sinks. There were a lot of college kids who couldn't hold their liquor unfortunately. I think event maintenance could use a lot more work as they typically draw large crowds here now that the downtown scene has declined. Lines can be very long and wrapped around the building so if you're one of those people who waits an hour after an event start time to head over (like me), be prepared to wait again. Parking can be rough so be prepared to circle the block a few times unless you get lucky :) read more

One of my favorite bars in San Diego! They have the best DJs come play music here. I especially love going for Wind Down events on Sundays. When friends are in town, I always take them here! May be a long line to get in on Saturday nights, so I recommend going early. Although it might be a wait, it will always be a good time! read more

Park & rec is always a great time. Hadn't been in a while and decided to take my cousin and her husband from out of town for some drinks. The dj that night was playing all of the bangers, and the drinks were delicious and strong. Such a fun night. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable, kind and efficient. The lines would sometimes get long but they moved really quickly and we were never waiting too long for a drink. I also like that they have more than one bar, dj and multiple seating areas (indoor and outdoor). It can get crowded but there is plenty of room to hang and I recommend getting there early to grab a booth if you want to sit and chat. read more

This was a cute bar. I loved the decor and the staff were very kind and friendly. I had heard it had a dance floor as well, but couldn't see from the front. It was until my friend told me it was in back area right outside. Very different but pretty cool. The drinks were strong and delicious, and they offer a good happy hour too. Nice and clean bar in University Heights. They have both indoor and outdoor bars, with seating in both areas. The outdoor patio also has heat lamps, which is nice for the cold nights. This was a trendy spot to grab a drink if you are out in the area. Inside the bar area was a few seats and it was decorated with a prohibition theme which was cute. Service was good, typical for a bar. The drinks were okay. Prices were average for San Diego and a bar. The only downside was the bathrooms were pretty open, like the doors didn't close, so everyone could see inside (there were still stalls) but it's not something I like or feel comfortable with. My friend and I did end up making a game of seeing how many people washed their hands. Needless to say, we left shortly after. I think this spot is great for a younger crowd. read more

I'll start off by saying that the staff was very nice and it's a very unique and cool place to go. However the lack of bathrooms was shocking and irresponsible. There are only two places to go to the bathroom. One close to the entrance that has only one stall and then another on the dance floor which you need to wait in two separate lines for that is unisex and also only one stall. Love that there is a variety of environments to hang out in. There's an indoor section with a bar and booths, a "quieter" outdoor sit/stand area, and a loud, busy dance "room." I've been here quite a few times now. It's such a fun place to hang out with friends and grab a few drinks. Before the pandemic, there was this other room where you could play some games and there would also be a DJ towards the latter of the night on weekends. Last time I went, the room was locked- for employees only, I believe. It still was a fun place, but more chill. We took over a few of the benches in the patio area and went to the bar to order our drinks. They had a few interesting new cocktails that we tried. One was called Apple Bottom Jeans, which consisted of monkey shoulder, green apple, caramel liquor, and lime. It was nice that they let me decorate it with a gummy on top. I can't believe I just discovered this place. We were dining at Madison for dinner next door and decided to come here for a drink afterwards. We went in around 10:00 p.m. so it was just starting to get busy, which is my preferred crowd size anyways. I love that they have multiple bars and a sense of different spaces. When you walk in you enter the first space that has a bar and its own set of music if you continue to walk towards the back you enter an outdoor space that has another bar into the right a dance floor with a DJ and a bar there as well! The multiple bars really spread out the line so you didn't have to wait forever for a drink. And wow, drinks are so affordable! I ordered two drinks, wanted tequila soda and one a Mezcal Paloma and it was $22 in total!
