Cool bar and totally my vibe. Lots of whiskey bottles on the shelf and I'm not a whiskey girl, but I did find a really good tequila drink. They have live music in the front room and pool tables. But my favorite was the hip-hop room in the back. DJ played awesome music and I dance the whole time. There's also a small bar back there too. Definitely be back again.

Seven Grand is 100% my favorite bar in North Park. Their happy hour (4-8 PM) is hard to beat. One of the highlights of coming here is running into Marty behind the bar. His cocktails are always spot-on, and he's got the kind of easygoing hospitality that keeps us coming back. The service overall is top-notch, which is rare to find at a place that gets this busy (especially on the weekends). There's also a photobooth in the back. Most people don't realize it's there. Just keep in mind, it takes a bit to actually load up but it's definitely worth the wait. Seven Grand nails it every time. Bomb drinks, amazing service, and a vibey atmosphere that feels like home. If you're in North Park, this is the spot.

Not too bad of a place. Drinks are expensive. They have pool tables and a smoking patio. The downside is that parking is very difficult to find.

I was in the area so I finally got to visit this bar. It's dark inside but looks elegant. It's got the whisky bar feeling. The bar area is nice. There are two pool tables, a booth, an area for dart games and an open window seating area. The Happy hour menu looks simple. I ordered a happy hour mule and then ordered another one because it was good lol. There's a speakeasy in the back. I'd love to check it out one day.

Night cap of fun. Excellent whiskey drinks and lots of games, pool tables, darts, and more. Everyone was very hospitable.

Deceptively huge on the inside. It's where the Hipsters come shoot some stick. The tables fill up early - but there is something cool about drinking one of the 700 whiskies on the walls, looking at taxidermy, and watching pool. Or maybe disappear in the back where they have a mirrored disco ball. Or better yet - grab an old fashioned, pick a cigar from the humidor, and sit out in the back patio. The drinks are good too - had two different bartenders which were excellent- and pretty knowledgeable as well! And I made it up about the 700 whiskeys - I'm sure it's closer to over 1000....

After dinner and drinks there is no better way to enjoy a night cap with a little whiskey. No matter the day this bar is always lined with patrons just enjoying a drink. If your lucky they sometimes have events. If your a cigar and drinks kind of night this is your spot. They have some pool tables too. They have a little bit of everything. The bar has a moody vibe with dark but warmness for you to feel relaxed. Glad to have a nice place to end the night at!

A great more upscale place to enjoy some good whisky and craft cocktails. They have an extensive whisky(ey) menu with a lot of my favorites I enjoyed while in the UK. If you're wanting to try a few drinks or whisky I recommend going in for happy hour. Please note while the price is high cocktails are very spirit forward. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about the drinks.

I like going out on a good prowl looking for new sights, lights, and night caps but when a dating app prompt asks where I would be if I weren't at home, Seven Grand should be my answer. It has everything I want when I imagine the space I want to be when I go out--cheap(er) cocktails, dark and moody interior, equipped with a great selection of music on a jukebox, lots of decent humans to watch, pool tables for restless company, and a designated area (a cozy one with real candlelight) for me to exist with my friends as they smoke/vape. If I don't spend my entire night here, I find a way to steer the party this direction.

Went to an event at Moniker general a few doors down with a friend and we decided to grab a drink after. Seven grand didn't look like much from the outside but was an amazing environment inside, dark moody and comfortable. Perfect for sipping a fine scotch. My buddy got a whiskey and I opted for the bar tenders recommendation of Monkey 47 gin which was outstanding. Will definitely be back here to sample some more.

Seven grand is the same place its always been. A great place for good drinks, occasional live music. Speakeasy style back lounge. Chill safe, separated spot for the smoking community. Also some highly competitive entertaining billiards on short cramped tables. When its crowded, heated games and talent are noticed and praised. Gr8 place to start or finish a night. Babes a plenty in the 30ish crowd.

Do we have to make reservations ahead of time due to Covid?

What are the happy hour days and times? Also, is there still smoking in the small patio area? Thanks!

Hi Jessica! Our Happy Hour is from 4 pm to 8 pm 7 days a week!…

    Is there a Cover charge?

NOPE!!! There are no cover charges for coming to Seven Grand with or without live music.

    Is there food?

Unfortunately no . But this is a fantastic whiskey bar, they have a pool table as well . My best to you is grab some drinks and on the same block there is city tacos and…

Is there a dress code? Was told by someone there was but no mention on their website and they don't answer the phone or email.... ugh. Dress code for men, in particular

No. I looked like crap and they let me in.

Do they have a decent selection of craft beers?

Yes. They have about 10 on draft. I believe the beers rotate, but they generally have a good variety of local stuff like Coronado, Pizza Port, and Modern Times.

Does this place play live jazz/blues?

Yes on the weekends. Here now listening to a live band.

Are they open or under construction? I was planning on going next weekend

Not 100% sure. I was there a week ago and it was open.

My only complaint was that we didn't get to sit in the disco room--it looked so fun and was definitely one of the coolest parts of the restaurant. We skipped the cocktail menu and ordered pornstar martinis instead, and they were incredible. The passionfruit tasted fresh and natural, not overly sweet or artificial. For food, we shared the mozzarella sticks with caviar crème fraîche ($23), which came with a surprisingly generous portion of caviar. We also ordered the Caesar salad, which was a great size for sharing, and the Starlight Burger with a Wagyu patty and fries. Everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations. The service was just as impressive. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Parking is a nightmare good luck finding parking within a mile of the restaurant. Pros: atmosphere, drinks, service Cons: food wasn't great for the price, restaurant was small and crowded, no parking Service: All of our servers were friendly and very accommodating. Gave us some knowledge on the menu and recommended cocktails based on our preference. I had spilled my drink and they were quick to make me another one. Food: I had intended to get the prime ribeye cap steak but they ran out for the night around 8pm. I shared the steak sampler which came with four different cuts of steak and 4 sauces. I ordered medium and it was cooked medium/medium rare which was fine with me, it also had a good sear, almost burnt though. Out of the four steaks, we only liked two based off flavor and tenderness. The other two were more tough and gamey. None of the sauces really stood out but the bordelaise and horseradish were good. For our sides we got fries, roasted broccoli, and the grilled wedge salad. Fries were average. The roasted broccoli had really good flavor, I expected the broccoli to be al dente but it was cooked to mush and drenched in sauce. The grilled wedge salad was decent, there was a slightly bitter taste to it. I know it says grilled wedge but the experience of biting into the salad and it being both hot and cold was not pleasant. Cocktails: I tried the Honey Ryder and New Wave. These were recommended as the more fruity/sweet cocktails. You can definitely taste the alcohol but it's only 2oz so it's not too strong. Ambience: 10/10 I got seated downstairs by the bar. Only thing about downstairs is that it's too dark to take photos unless you use flash. Overall, I agree with the other reviews saying to go just for drinks and appetizers. I would go again just to sit upstairs and get drinks and take pictures. We left unsatisfied and ended up getting in-n-out after.
