This little store is exactly the type of hidden Jewel that I love to find. These little locally owned places have all sorts of rare and long since sold out vintages waiting in their back rooms. Walking inside I could see that there were thousands of bottles of wine in this little store. You couldn't NOT find what you were looking for. and the folks here were really so nice helping me and answering my questions. Not only was I able to easily find my favorite Ruffino Reserva Gold Label Chianti, still wrapped in Ruffino's emblem embossed tissue paper. But unwrapping it I happily discovered it was a sweet vintage 2010. @$43..A wonderful rare find indeed. This vintage and label will stand up next to the finest of Wines in its category. This will make a most fitting toast to enjoy with my wife and moon cakes. I thought it was adorable that the little place was husband and wife owned and I loved seeing them working here together. I really prefer to support local family-owned businesses exactly like this place. I would certainly prefer to pay a few dollars more here then patronize the big box bullies. So ..take the train & phone in your orders as you're on the way.. or park in the Free parking Rite Aid shopping center across the street and just walk across. And what's not to love?? A liquor store that DELIVERS ..in case you're running low at your party I'll be back again real soon as it's a convenient little spot I know that I'll be greeted with a smile and I'll always get what I need. I called ahead, and was told that they'd be open for another 15 minutes, made sure they had the whiskey that had been requested, and got in the car and rocketed on over. The store is small, with narrow aisles, but that's all so that they can be stocked from floor to ceiling with top-notch wines, spirits, and more. I got laughed at when I asked if they had wine coolers (yet another fun last-minute request), but told I could go next door to Beech Beverage for those. Oh - and as I was checking out, I also noticed that they have Lotto, so if you're feeling lucky you can run your numbers here as well. This is an extremely convenient and local-friendly spot. Their prices are a bit higher than you might find elsewhere, but you'll find good-quality and very helpful staff here, so well worth it.
