Grab and go spring mix

Wonderful unique shop. Always an amazing selection of floral arrangements and grab and go bouquets with an artistic eye for color and texture. Family owned small business in Crown Heights, a few blocks from the Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Gardens. Always a pleasure

Truly A+ flowers and incredible service. Very easy online order process and next day pick up, even on Valentines Day. Bravo.

lovely spring bouquet for mother's day
Linda S.

I loved how the bouquets are designed with the seasons in mind and in accordance with what's available in the flower market. You won't get a cookie-cutter bouquet here! Michael and his wife Valentine were a pleasure to work with in getting my Mother's Day flowers delivered to Manhattan LES. This first bouquet was so charming that I later ordered 4 more bouquets to present at a fundraiser for work, and threw in 1 more personal order for Mother's Day. It being the start of the spring season, Valentine mixed peonies, sweet-smelling lilacs, tiny tea roses, and other wild-looking flowers with green trick dianthus (fluffy green flowers so awesome I had to look up the name), to create effortlessly beautiful bundles. She then wrapped each bouquet in white paper and tied with red and white bakery string. Can anyone say: quintessentially Brooklyn? At least, the part of Brooklyn where people are normal and unpretentious. Michael and Valentine are super communicative and creative. I'd recommend spending at least $30 per bouquet to really give them the flexibility to work their magic and you won't go wrong.

I love the beautiful flowers in their kimchi jars...

To be honest, I did not have a design in mind- but knew that color-wise I wanted it to be simple, and not boring. Yes- I am very picky and weird. They showed me a primitive / p rodriguez in pastel pink embossed eagle and instantly I was in love. I was a bit hesitated at first because pink isn't what I would normally go for. The staffs (or owner?) were SO nice and informative listening to my needs and selected the best set up for me. Given that this was my first skate shop of the day, I told them that I was still looking around and they were really nice about it. They understood. After going to KCDC and Skate Brooklyn (also went to Labor, Supreme, and SHUT the previous weekend), I was set buying from Homage. I called the shop to let them know about my interest, and by the time I got there they had everything all set out. It took them 15 minutes to set up my board with trucks, wheels and tape- and then I was out the door! They were also teaching a little boy how to skate board at the time, and with the parents there they were really nice, honest, and up front about their son's lessons. I appreciate their honesty with the parents and would actually consider taking classes from them. If I do sign up, I hopeI'm not the only twenty something year old student. Thanks Homage!

This is more than just a skateboarding school (though it's amazing at that). The teachers--and…read moreHunter, in particular--are amazing at encouraging children to take on challenges, face their fears, and celebrate their triumphs. My eight-year-old is a cautious, nervous boy and I am so moved and overjoyed by the way Hunter (and other teachers, they're all great) has patiently, gently, kindly dealt with his tears when he was afraid, felt glee when he braved a scary move, like riding on a ramp. Hunter, of course, keeps him safe, physically, but also has an amazing way of pushing him to do more than he thought possible. Yes, my boy is learning to skateboard. But he's also learning so much more.

On my Giant, they found a backwards jockey wheel, but I was also charged for derailleur adjustments multiple times and later learned the actual front shifting issue was a bent chainring. At one point it was suggested that I might not be shifting correctly, but the problem turned out to be mechanical. They also adjusted my saddle and stripped the bolt in the process. After multiple visits and additional issues, I lost confidence in the quality and completeness of the work.

Instead of helping, he gave me attitude and sarcastically asked, "What's 700C?" Before I could answer, I clarified my tire is 27 1/4. He then rattled off a bunch of other sizes before finally going to the back to get one. When he returned, he handed me a single tube, priced at $10. I asked if there were other brands or options, and again, more attitude. He told me it's all rubber anyway and questioned why I even cared. At checkout, I gave him cash and asked if he needed anything else. He said I owed him 88 cents, so I gave him a dollar, and he threw the change into my hand so carelessly that it bounced off and fell onto the counter. No apology, no decency. Do yourself a favor: skip this place. There are plenty of other bike shops where the staff will treat you with basic respect, actually help you, and not act like you're bothering them by being there.

The crew is knowledgeable, caring and flexible. I bought a bike from them a few years back and loved it. It was a sad day when someone broke into our garage and stole it (cutting the lock and all), but I knew I'd need a new one. Even though Habitat couldn't source the bike I was looking for (we are also in the middle of a bike shortage if you didn't know!!) they were completely up for assembling one that I was able to locate myself. Picking up the bike in the middle of a pandemic was smooth with social distancing outside and proper precautions being applied. I checked in and within a few minutes my ready to go bike was brought outside so I could pedal away. They're my go to even though it's not in my hood, and it's worth it. Thanks Bicycle Habitat- keep on rolling!

Multiple mechanics suggested I might not know how to shift properly, but the actual problem turned out to be a bent chainring. That was only discovered after I went back multiple times and pushed for them to keep looking. It did not seem like the bike had been properly test ridden before I was told the issue was rider error. Communication was also difficult, and the overall attitude I experienced from staff felt passive aggressive rather than helpful. I was largely left on my own trying to sort out what was going on. They also replaced the wrong bolt on my saddle. When I asked about replacing the correct bolts, I was told they did not have the proper ones, and the issue was not properly resolved. After multiple visits, repeated charges, poor communication, and the real problem being missed until I pushed for further inspection, I would not return.

At no point should bolts randomly fling off your bike while you going down the Brooklyn bridge going 24mph. I'm a high school student and I had to pay for my bike with my own money. My bf originally placed the order for delivery but later changed it to in-store pickup on different day a week advance. When I arrived at the shop, I felt unwelcome. After giving the name for pickup, I was asked for the order number in a tone and with facial expressions that made it seem like I was bothering her. She then asked me to spell the name, but repeatedly misspelled it and said she couldn't find the order. The name on the order was very common and simple name is the US, so this made the situation even more frustrating. After she found my order after few miscommunications, she said the order is not ready, so I have to wait until the order is ready. I consider myself an easygoing person, but the interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. While the flowers were beautiful, the customer service significantly affected the overall experience.
