Firstly, I'm a very critical person and most of my yelp reviews are between 1 and 3 stars. So, believe me when I say I'm surprised by the horrid yelp reviews. It was a complete 180 from my experience. I reserved the "mountain view" room on the top floor and it was amazing. Large King Bed, breathtaking view of downtown, decent parking and access to stores like shoppers, tim hortons, etc. The room and bathroom were spotless. The lobby area does suck but i didn't spend much time there. Overall, it was a 9.5/10 experience. I caught myself just hanging on the balcony looking at the city and mountains. Just finished staying here for our 1 night stay in Vancouver. The front desk staff was nice and helpful and our stay was overall a pleasant stay. The room was a nice size, the bed was comfortable and clean and so was the room. One major issue I had with the property was parking. Being a guest and having to pay to park in the hotel was a big disappointment. Not sure about other branded hotels in the area, but having to pay to park in the hotel you are staying at, is disappointing. I don't understand Radisons decision to make their guest pay to park while staying at their branded hotel. To me, this doesn't make any sense and It's a sneaky fee that you find out when you are checking in. If that fee went towards some sort of security, cameras and a guard, it would be somewhat reasonable. But if I would have known this prior, I would have booked at another hotel. The cost of the hotel, included parking, would have cost pretty much the same to stay at, let's say, the River Rock Hotel and Casino. One minor issue in the room was the washroom door would stick. So opening it would make a loud sound. After looking it over, the door had separated at the top corner and just probably needs a quick fix. Overall the property is located in a nice area and the hotel is clean, nice, and has friendly staff. But a little advice, factor in the $15 a day parking fee when when booking. read more

Despite having a gaggle of relatives in the area, nobody was willing to take me in after the jiffy lube incident of '97 (not to be mistaken for the very reputable oil change business of the same name) which is how we ended up here. Vancouver's expensive. For a total of $414 after tax and two nights of parking, we got something comparable to a better three-star hotel or extended stay suite. However, for this price, we got a pretty large, rather newly refurbished room with double queen, microwave, fridge, little balcony with an ashtray (rooms are No Smoking), iron, and little toiletries. The counter and cleaning staff, as someone mentioned, are extremely friendly and indefatigable. Idiotic tourists upon tourists were asking for directions to places which are a figment of their imagination or are in a completely different city, and the forever smiling counter staff were looking things up on maps, making bookings and reservations. One staff even double checked with another hotel down the street to see if they had availability when someone walked in and found the Park Inn to be fully booked. Our cleaning lady even called us instead of knocking, knowing we were in the room and had the DO NOT DISTURB sign (we were looking at a drunk person talk to his umbrella on the street outside our window and didn't want to be disturbed). The hotel is also extremely convenient, with mass rapid transit everywhere. It's also a short walk to False Creek and Granville Island. My only gripe was that we checked in around 5pm and were given a room right across from the elevator. We were finally put in a room wayyy on the other side of the elevator with a balcony facing Broadway on the 2nd floor. While I enjoyed the drama that is "The Saga of Tim Horton's & the Desperate People With No Taste Buds Who Frequent It, Including Myself" unfolding in front of my eyes everyday, the street noise - in the form of buses, crotchety middle-agers spilling out of the pub next door, homeless people talking to their umbrellas - was very noticeable, especially on the weekends. We ended up with this hotel as part of our time-share exchange. The hotel is dated and needs renovation. There is truly no lobby to speak of so you check in and head directly to your floor. The rooms feel worn, but the bathroom needs the most attention. The housekeepers do a good job in cleaning the rooms, but the bathroom seems to have been neglected. Our room's bathroom has a toilet seat too short of the actual toilet. If you replace a broken toilet seat, install the right size. The water pressure is also weak when you shower with hot water. Now for the good - rooms have balconies with sweeping views of the water and city. Staff were nice and friendly. Location is convenient with a Shoppers Drug Mart, Tim Horton's, noodle shop and burger place across the street. There are a variety of restaurants and cafes as well as a wine and liquor store within walking distance from the hotel. Parking is available for a nightly fee. read more

Okay so for starters if your staying here for vacation ask for a room with the odd numbers they have the best views. Next the regular rooms are not that bad a little small but not bad. One thing that i did like is that its only about 3 blocks from the train station and about a 10 min walk to Grandville Market. So for all of you visiting for the first time. Now if you like to work out your best bet is to throw on your running shoes and take a jogg at one if the near by local parks because this gym like in the pic has NO weights at all. just 3 cardiovascular machines and thats it. Futhermore housekeeping is great they do a great job with the rooms and the front dest personal are very friendly. The restaurant attached also has great breakfast and great priced a little better then the I hop down the street and a lot less too. so room size is not bad if your here on business but if your going to stay at least a week or so just chip in for the suite you wont regret it. also for you first timmers if your looking to start your trip exit the hotel head west untill you hit Grandville st then walk north towards the mountins and in no more the 15 min walk if the famous Grandville Market. In conclusion yes i would re vist this hotel. Good job Park Inn read more

The check-in was okay and the parking fee of $15CAD is reasonable however the rooms are pretty gross. There are signs all over the hotel denouncing Smoking and it's probably because a lot of guests here smoke cigarettes and cannabis in their rooms here. My room definitely smelled like faint nicotine and immediately I was thankful that my wife and child was not with me during this stay. Honestly I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you are in a bind and NEED to be in this immediate area. The "fitness centre" is honestly anemic and should be shut down, it's a joke. The nearby hospital sometimes provides many patients rooms here so expect to see numerous marginalized populations here, not hating just stating. The location is awesome because you have access to great bus lines that can take you all around the city. read more

This was my first visit to a Park Inn. I came here using some points from Club Carlson loyalty program. I arrived on a Thursday evening and the front desk was busy, it took me more than 15 minutes to get checked in. The lobby is tiny and was hopping, lots of folks coming and going. Luckily the elevators were never too busy, I never had to wait more than a minute. My room was nicely updated, though I was bummed that my view was uphill rather than on the opposite side of the building (facing downtown Vancouver). The entry was covered in very cheap and poorly ageing laminate, that was a disappointment. But the other finishes were good. The bathroom was tiny, really small, but it had everything necessary, so it was okay. Unfortunately overnight I noticed the toilet ran. It ended up waking me on more than 1 occasion, that was disappointment. I didn't call the front desk until the next morning (they made it seem like I should have called in the middle of the night). I went out for a while and came back and got a call that a maintenance person would be returning to the room to replace the toilet. Since I was going to be in the room, I asked that I get another room. This seemed to be a nearly unreasonable request, it had to get approved. But luckily it was and I moved down the hall a few doors, still not on the view side of the building. The rest of the stay was uneventful. The room was comfortable with good bedding and accoutrements. read more

The only reason I stayed here was the proximity to Vancouver General Hospital. I booked through Amoma, which listed the cheapest room at $165. I have a policy of only booking rooms that cost less than $100, but this was an exception, (see above) Once I chose the room, the price was now $200. It was a $70/night room. Usually a $70 room has an easy chair, not this one. Toilet seat was crooked and there were cobwebs in the bathroom. I got charged another $15 for parking. I had a spiced beef sandwich in the restaurant for another $15, consisting of dry bread and meat. I wanted to ask for mustard, but the waitress was nowhere to be found. Sandwich was half eaten when she showed up. I got boring yellow mustard in a large squeeze bottle which had separated so my sandwich got squirted with basically mustard flavored water. My beef is mostly not enough value for the money. read more

WARNING: If you are booking this hotel via priceline.com, make sure you get the room that they offer you on your online deal! My co-worker and I stayed here on business and like wide-eyed noobs, we failed to compare the agreement we received to what we actually ended up getting. So instead of getting a "king bed and view of downtown vancouver," we were housed in rooms with two doubles and a view of the "Mary Pack Arthritis Centre" lovely. This isn't the hotel's fault. Just make sure to be more thorough when you book through discounted travel options. For the record, the place was decent- certainly get what you pay for. Each room comes with a fridge, and microwave. They refill your supply of bottled water daily with maid service which was useful. It's just a 5 minute cab ride downtown. If cabs aren't your thing then the subway is a good three blocks away. If a traveler was seriously considering staying here, I'd give them a green light based on my experience. Just make sure you get that view of Downtown. read more

I've stayed here for work on a number of occasions and can honestly say that this is my favourite hotel in Vancouver to stay at. The rooms are always clean and the beds comfortable and I always feel safe here, which to me are the most important things in a hotel. It's a nonsmoking hotel but each room has a small private balcony with ashtray to access. When you arrive to your room you will find two complementary bottles of water on the desk. They offer free wi-fi and basic cable. There is a fitness room too I think but I never accessed it. The staff is hit or miss. Some of them are friendly and some of them are pretty cold/unfriendly but all of them are professional and will do what they can to meet guest's needs. I ate breakfast in the restaurant only a couple of times - when I didn't feel like Tim Horton's across the street. The food is just mediocre, nothing to write home about. If you want a clean, comfortable, and safe home away from home in Vancouver then Park Inn is a solid bet. read more

Good hotel, not great. The bed was very hard, which I get is a preference thing. It was somewhat difficult to control the temperature in the room, so it ended up either too hot or too cold. This place could benefit from new Heating/AC units in the room. Staff was kind and helpful. Not a lot of noise, even for it being New Years. Rooms are clean Service Terrible for a Radisson I was expecting a better service the front desk agent was ok friendly not that helpful but was ok. Since we are tired we decided to order room service the lady was rude terrible rude I asked if the food was hot she said well by the time you get it in your room it will be cold no wonder people rather choose www.airbnb.com before this hotels because of their staff I was going to stay 3 nights but I will be checking out tomorrow . This was the most horrible experience the service horrible the pictures are misleading don't let the pictures fool you . The Managment is terrible they don't care about you this place is not even worth 50dll k feel I over paid and got fooled by the pictures . I'm so happy I found the Empire Landmark Hotel and moved quickly . Avoid staying here there are better places I used to work in the hospitality industry and service was out too thing. Stayed here a few weeks ago when I went on a vancouver trip with my girl. I work in the hotel industry so I'm very relaxed about things because I know what it is like to bee the poor guy behind the desk getting yelled at. Front desk staff was always friendly and helped us find places to eat and see around town. Room was refurbished in the last 5 years nice flat screen tvs (didn't have hdmi hookup but I'm not there to watch movies so I'll live) Not sure what the other view was but I got the side facing downtown... totally worth getting a room with 2 beds and not needing the extra great view both during the day with the mountain and at night with the lights I probably spent too much time at night taking pictures. Small balcony but was perfect for sitting and smoking Cuban cigars. Did not travel with a vehicle so not sure of the parking situation but I believe you have to pay. There is bus stop, 24 hour store and restaurants all around it and within walking distance of many local attractions. Overall I had a great vacation and this hotel was part of it. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in town Also I took the rubber duck they supplied in the bathroom. Please don't charge me :) read more

Stayed here for two nights pre cruise, this was a Great hotel, very clean with very friendly helpful staff, in a good location! The hotel is situated close to the train station we were able to get the sky train from the airport to the hotel (get off the train at city hall broadway) then walk a few blocks to the hotel there is mini shopping market account the the road which is great if you need any essentials, Tim Horton's and Modern Burger also across the road (modern burger was really good) and yolks is only a few blocks away and is great for breakfast! Great location for exploring Vancouver, we were able to walk to Granville Island and to get the train to the McArthurGlen outlets (get off the train at Templeton), we also got the train to gas town (get off the train at waterfront) I would recommend getting an all day pass! The view from our room was amazing! Very happy with this hotel we would stay here again read more

Staff was courteous. Room was clean. The location of this hotel was great. It's across the street from a 24/7 drug store and Tim Horton's and a few restaurants. A block and a half away from a Starbucks. A healthy cafe called Chef's Harvest that served smoothies and sandwiches was close by. When I booked this hotel, I thought it was a great idea since close by (1.5 blocks away) was Vancouver's General Hospital. Since we were in a different country, I thought it'd be best to be near a hospital in case something happened to me, my husband or kids. What I didn't realize was that because we are near a hospital, I forgot about how loud the sirens are from the ambulances that passed thru a few times on some nights. Also, the walls and doors seemed thin cause I can hear guests from the hallway. I can hear them when they leave their room cause it seemed as if they were slamming their doors shut. The noise from the traffic was loud when our balcony door was open. The noise didn't bother my kids. They slept thru the noise. The view from our 4th floor balcony was great. Our room had a microwave and a mini fridge which was convenient since we have a little one that likes to drink her chocolate milk. I should've been more diligent in asking exactly what size is considered a "double bed." It turns out a double bed is a full size bed. We're used to sleeping in a king size bed because my husband likes to sleep all spread out so a double bed was small for our needs. I'm thankful that this hotel accommodated my family of 5 in 1 room. It helped save us money so we were able to stay longer so we were able to tour more of Vancouver. read more

The Park Inn has its pluses and minuses. The pluses are that the front desk staff were all very friendly and available. The same with the housekeeping staff. The hotel has a bus stop right in front and across the street and it is an easy 4 block walk to the Skytrain - public train transportation. From the Park Inn to the Airport is about 35 minutes or less, total. From the Park Inn to the Waterfront is between 15 - 20 mins and is $2.50 one way. The room was OK and clean. There are a lot of reasonably priced restaurants very near, a large Walgreens/CVS type store across the street and a couple of fast food places (Tim Horton's and Wendy's). The minuses are that the hotel has a bit of a worn look. The carpet in the meeting room needs replaced and the air conditioning wasn't working so there were several fans which helped a bit but made in noisy. Overall, I'd give it a 3-4 out of 5. The location was great and for Vancouver the rate was OK ($145 per day with tax). There is onsite parking, but I didn't use it as I used public transportation without any issues at all. read more

wow what a fail this hotel is.. we get there and the beds are dirty with dirt on them and black bed bugs and smells like pee in the room. hallways are dirty. the front desk clerks cant even tuck in their shirts. crack heads coming in and out of the building. totally not worth 350 a night. then the hotel lied saying we stayed there to air miles travel hub. what a bunch of scammers. what a absolute joke. the hotel manager lady is just beyond rude. wow unreal read more

I stayed here in December, 2016 and was extremely unimpressed!! I booked on Expedia and The pictures looked amazing and they also made it look like you got free parking. When I showed up to find a dingy hotel I was very unimpressed. The front staff were nothing but rude to me due to the fact that they had to send an approval so that my father's credit card could be used. Never once said sorry about the inconvenience or even said thank you, once I had gone out of my way to make sure the paperwork was sent to them. When I asked about the free parking that was advertised they practically laughed in my face and then looked at me like I was stupid. They also were not OK with us asking for extra sheets/blankets and tried to say "oh we will just send an extra bed" I was smart enough to call them on it and say "excuse me I know that'll be an extra charge and I'm not willing to pay I just wanted extra blankets". They gave us sheets. Our hair dryer was broken, our bath wouldn't plug properly, and also was not able to get hot water out of the shower at any point of my stay. The heater was so loud it kept us awake at night and the room didn't have a Center light SO it was constantly dim. The balcony was disgusting. So beyond unimpressed by my entire stay at this hotel and will never be going or recommending It to anyone else. read more
