I had a pretty decent stay here for one night before going back home. Our cruise ship docked early in the morning so headed straight to the hotel to drop off our bags. They informed us that it would be an extra 75 dollar charge for early check in which we opted out of. We walked around for a couple hours and got the text that our room was ready so that was nice and unexpected. Our room was pretty large and comes with a fridge and coffee. Not a lot of other amenities besides cotton swabs or cotton rounds. Shampoo and soap were decent. They have a pool and gym as well which we utilized. The elevators are pretty cool as well and you can only go in them if you have a card. I am giving this hotel five stars because of the staff (especially Moon and the other gentlemen) who were super helpful with our luggage and gave us a map and recommendations. Pretty cool that there is a free shuttle that goes to certain tourist spots. All in all, it was a relaxing stay! read more

My daughter and I stayed here while vacationing in Vancouver. I chose this hotel because there's free shuttle to Capilano Suspension Bridge and there's a train station (Burrand) next to it. You can take the Expo Line from Burrand Station to Pacific Central Station and then take Amtrak to cross the border back to the States. I had a rental car for a night where I took it to Whistler for a day trip. We really enjoyed our stay here especially there's so many places to shop and restaurants to eat as well. We'll definitely come stay in the future. Parking is shared underground parking with Royal Centre. During Christmas time, there was a display of gingerbread houses. If you need to do laundry, I recommend Laundry Valet (coin laundromat). Price was very reasonable. read more

Uhm. WOW! This is the best hotel I've stayed at probably ever. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful without overwhelming us and the ambiance was superior. I think the best thing was that every space we entered felt so calming, intentional, and smelled GREAT. Our room had some beautiful wood work in the entrance and opened up into an open concept room with a large window. We had a great view! The hot tub was great and we enjoyed some juices from the bar. Haven't stayed here in years and ended up paying less per nite than the Marriott Pinnacle. It's been years since I last stayed at this location and was given a really nice room on the 8th floor which all things considered I rarely stay at a Hyatt brand having been a Marriott Bonvoy member for such a long time. Room rates per night were insane and I booked over 45 days ago prepaying to get a lower rate most likely due to Cruise season which started in May and the hotels throughout the city jacking up the rates for The FIFA Cup. I normally stay at the Marriott Pinnacle but that hotel price was higher than the Hyatt this time around. Besides liking my room, I like the convenience of Starbucks being in the Lobby and opening up at 0530 hours and proximity to the restaurants that I would go to in the area. Ice machines are on the 4th floor adjacent to and outside the gym instead of being on every other or each floor. read more

Fantastic location and a wonderful stay! I'm a Hyatt member and used points for a one-night stay with my friend. Our room on the 10th floor had a great balcony view, and the convenience couldn't be better, there's a McDonald's and Tim Hortons right outside the hotel. We were able to walk to Robson Street, the Waterfront, and several nearby attractions with ease. Parking was $40 CAD and included in-and-out privileges. Check-in was quick and smooth, and after a full day of sightseeing, we slept soundly. I did grab the extra pillow and blanket from the closet for extra comfort, but that's just personal preference. We booked with points, and the location couldn't be better--right in downtown, close to major attractions and easily walkable to many sights. Our room had a lovely view of the Fairmont Hotel, was quiet, and had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and functional, and we especially appreciated that housekeeping was able to provide us with indoor slippers upon request. This was my first time visiting Vancouver and after staying here four nights I am really glad I did. The convenience of being within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Or a short Lyft ride to tourist destinations (Stanley Park, Granville Island) cannot be beat and made my trip very enjoyable. Pros The staff at check in, and valet are friendly and very nice. The elevator situation is a little weird at first but very efficient and kind of fun once you get the hang of it. You will scan your key card and it will let you know which elevator to enter. There are no buttons inside the elevator. Efficient set up of the room. Allowing for comfortable walking space around the room, lots storage for clothing and stowing luggage in the closet. Spacious counter in bathroom with a large mirror in the bedroom. Lots of areas to plug and charge your electronics on your bedside lamps and the desk. Pharmacopia bath products that come out of a dispenser and not single use bottles We had a small countertop for our coffee bar and refrigerator. We asked for a microwave and they quickly accommodated and brought one to our room. I sent a text message and they came within minutes. Water refilling stations located next to front desk and on 4th floor next to gym Starbucks offered in your room to self brew for or buy Starbucks on first floor lobby (check the hours, they are limited and close early). Or try Tim Hortons the Dunkin Donuts of Canada but way better. Beds were comfortable, pillows are down feather. Pool is small for the size of the hotel. But there is a sauna next to the jacuzzi that can fit 6 people comfortably. Being that it rains so much in Vancouver there is an umbrella in the closet for you to use. At the entrance they provide umbrella bags for your wet umbrella. The Hyatt Regency Vancouver is the designated pickup for the Capillano Suspension Bridge and tours for Grouse Mountain, the airport pickup for the bus (for those with reservations). This is all on the side of the hotel which is a small street that is not nearly as busy as Burrard. Cons These are things that could improve but did not ruin my experience. No laundry room on site. Only dry cleaning. Not ideal for a city that rains so often and can lead to an emergency where you may need to launder your clothes. This is a very tall hotel next to the RBC building. I was in a room facing that building and on Monday morning I had a good view of the workers in their cubicles and even in their break room. Not sure if they could see me or not but I kept my sheet blinds shut just in case. Wall are thin. On my second evening there was a loud group that I could hear talking, opening and closing their dresser drawers, making popcorn late at night. I found out the next morning that six people had stayed in that room. Luckily they only stayed one night. I had a comfortable stay overall, just what I would expect from Hyatt. I look forward to coming back to this beautiful city. read more

Excellent Hyatt alert! Staff was very friendly and made sure to offer me all the upgrades and extensions they had at the time. This location is in the heart of the city and has plenty of restaurants within walking distance. From the YSR airport we went upstairs to the 4th floor, tapped to pay, and entered the canada line shuttle which takes you just three blocks from the Hyatt regency...soo convenient. Refillable water stations are bottles are available (fee may occur based on hyatt status). There is a Starbucks, bar, restaurant, and fitness center on the premise. To my surprise the rooms have starbucks coffee, thank God! Rooms also have medium plush beds with medium firm pillows. Room also has lounge and desk chairs, and plenty of lighting. Lastly they have dedicated elevators by floor, super convenient once you get the hang of it. This Hyatt has all the bells and whistles and I highly recommend a stay here. read more

I've stayed here a couple of times. Most recently in January 2026. Very central being on Burrard. Less than 10 minute walk to the light rail station on Georgia. Room was clean & bed was comfortable. The upgrade of $20 CAD per night to a "higher floor" was probably worth it as it was quiet up there. Mini-fridge was nice. Not sure about the pretty expensive reusable water bottles though (would have been nice to at least one that's complimentary). Some items can be requested (i.e., slippers) that will be delivered to your room. Starbucks in the lobby. McDonald's & Tim Hortons right outside. read more

Per my reservation I had the option of early check in when I got to the hotel around 9:45AM my room was ready and clean. House keeping service was to the point and quick. Security was to the point and you can feel that. There are two restaurants in the lobby, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner based on their schedule. Taxis are available all the time right in front of the entrance. My bed was so comfortable and had one of the most comfortable mattress I ever slept on. Shower had hot water instantly, water pressure was great. All and all, I will stay at this hotel again and again. read more

We stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was always polite and helpful, and we were fortunately upgraded to a room with an amazing view of the city. It's also very close to the subway station, so taking it from the airport was an easy ride. What I really liked about this hotel was the location since it was so central to everything. Also, they had a Starbucks downstairs, as well as a nice bar with a nightly happy hour if you wanted to end your sightseeing with a nightcap. Finally, right out the door was a Horton's, McDonald's, and a small drugstore in case you wanted to buy something quick. It also was one of the places where the free bus stopped for the Capialano Suspension Bridge, which was really convenient for us. I do have to preface that we used mostly our free nights or points, so take this review with that in mind, but overall, we thought this was a great hotel if you plan to visit Vancouver for sightseeing. read more

We had an amazing stay at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver. We reserved a room on the higher floors and the view was stunning. The room was very spacious and super modern. The bathroom felt very luxurious and I loved the rain shower. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet throughout our stay. Breakfast was really good, however, we went with the a la carte option instead of the buffet. Their breakfast entree portions are plentiful so we didn't see the need to do their buffet for $40. There is a Starbucks on site that opens really early. If you are not in the mood for Starbucks, there is also a Tim Hortons and McDonald's right next door. The hotel is located in the financial district and was perfect for our sightseeing adventures, Burrard Metro stop is a block away. We didn't have a car so I can't speak to the parking situation, I did see they have a garage. Wi-Fi was very fast and we had no issues. They have a station in the lobby to fill up your water bottle which was very convenient. The online check-in process was seamless. Staff was very friendly and helpful. read more

They put us on a high floor with an amazing view and even gave us one complimentary breakfast! Parking can be a little annoying if you don't park in the hotel's garage. But we did, with the exchange rate it wasn't too bad considering the location, around $35 or so a night. The gym is super nice and they also have a hot tub and pool. Hyatt Regency in Vancouver has a lot of love from me in the form of location (downtown), food and drink options downstairs, and really helpful staff. During my visit, I arrived at about 1PM, early and I asked if the room was ready and they said not yet so I took the opportunity to park my luggage in their side room while I grabbed something to eat and walked around for a bit. I'll discuss in a bit for the three stars but I felt like them allowing me to go in my room earlier than 3PM was the best thing they can do for me. I thought my World of Hyatt club, points usage, and loyalty to the brand would have accommodated my other requests but it was denied. As has been the case, I was already reached out by a rep after filling out their survey but I'll just follow up with a review. I asked for a higher room because that's what I initially requested when I first booked, but was never changed from the 5th floor. I asked for a room where the balcony door could actually lock because it's a huge safety hazard but was never moved. I asked if someone could fix the lock the next day while we were away but no attempt was made. Will I stay here again? Sure. Would I recommend it to others? Yea. Was I happy with my last visit? Well over all the regency product of Hyatt post covid times has become more of a Hyatt lower end product. ! This place has some issue of charging people for Svc not provided ,nor did they explained why. Example pet fee. I would gladly pay one if I was given the option. I had the buffet ,,,,the fruits were fresh but not the hot area. The potato's and eggs were stale even around 8:30 am. My waiter was wonderful and I even tipped him extra and made to order omelet! Overall this is a great place for a conference , like my younger days staying @ regency.s. !!now as an older person this place doesn't cut it. As for the area it's a mixed bag. Ultimate Rewards are amazing and Hyatt is easily the best hotel partner. Compared to Marriott properties, Hyatt hotels are laughably better for point redemptions. That's what led us here and it was quite an easy decision. The hotel is located right in the center of the city, which is exactly what we were looking for. And everything was nice and updated. As for the negatives: I did not love the bed. I really did not love the soft and lumpy pillows. And the rain shower was not my favorite. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver pre-cruise in April. The hotel is in the perfect location, close to the port, shops and restaurants. Very walkable to the waterfront and Stanley Park although the latter is about a mile away. We booked both a king room and two double beds room. Both room were spacious and comfortable with the amenities like a mini fridge, coffee maker and robes. The elevators are quick trip where you pick your floor from the lobby and they take you directly there. It cut out all of the time stopping on different floors for other guest and made trips to the 23rd and 25th floors quick and easy. All of the staff from front desk to valet were friendly and polite. There are numerous restaurants in the area including a Tim Hortons right next door. We found the shawarma truck out front and the Cactus Club Cafe down the street good choices also. We'd chose the Hyatt Regency Vancouver again for our next trip to the area. read more

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean when we walked in. We were also comp. upgraded to a higher floor room. The check-in process was easy and quick. The front desk told us everything that was needed to know and sent me away with a QR-coded paper in case I forgot anything. The breakfast buffet in the morning was decent. I wouldn't have felt like I was missing anything if I didn't go. The dinner, though (not pictured), at the Mosaic Grille was extremely delicious, and I enjoyed that very much. I had the chili chicken quesadilla but had it in my room instead of in the restaurant. This location is also amazing. It's right next to a Tim's, and it's only a few blocks away from Granville and next to the shopping places on Burrard. The location made it easy for us to come and go as we wanted and to not have to touch our car once we parked it. It's also right next to the Burrard Skytrain Station. Given its location, it was a fairly quiet hotel, and I didn't hear much while I stayed there. No windows that open in the room, though. Parking tip: Go next to the hotel on Melville St. and park in the Royal Centre Parking Garage and follow the signs up to the hotel and get your plate info. Miss the mumbo-jumbo in the front of the hotel unless you're wanting to valet park your car. We self-parked, and it was $41.66 w/tax. Overall, I'd 100% stay here again and would recommend it to anyone if you were looking for a place to stay. read more

This is a very nice hotel with an excellent location, just a short walk from the water. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. I had requested an early check-in and although they had informed me that this could not be guaranteed, they were nice enough to have the room ready before I arrived. The room itself was nicely appointed, clean, plenty of outlets, and most importantly a temperature system that worked well. The bed was comfortable and the view of the city was quite nice. I was here for the conference. The conference provided lunch that I assume was catered by the hotel. The lunch was of very good quality for such a large group. Excellent hotel. Hyatt Regency Vancouver has a prime location in downtown with many surrounding walkable restaurants (5-20 min walk), close to Robson Street, and about 6 min walk from Vancouver City Centre station for the Canada Line. ROOM -- I was lucky to stay a room with a balcony facing southeast with city views, since not all rooms have balconies. My room was very spacious with two double beds, a full bathroom, a desk, TV, AC/heating, closet, safe, coffee/tea station, and a mini refrigerator. Pillows were great, but I personally found the mattress too soft. Water pressure from the shower head was strong, which I appreciated. AMENITIES -- I didn't take advantage of the many of Hyatt's amenities since I was out most of time, but they have a fitness center, pool, spa, parking, and onsite restaurant. STAFF -- Front desk staff were very professional and friendly; check-in and check-out process were quick and easy. Check-in is at 4PM, and since I had an early flight into YVR and my room wasn't ready yet, I left my luggage at the bell desk and started exploring the city. Daily housekeeping did a very thorough job, removing the trash/recycling and restocking fresh towels and toilet paper. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay at Hyatt Regency. Concierge is very helpful if you have questions or need any recommendations for excursions/activities, restaurants, or even a quick history lesson! The hotel's location was fantastic - just a short 10-15 minute walk to the Waterfront, with plenty of restaurants and shopping options nearby. The Burrard Station was just a few feet away, making it convenient to catch the train. Additionally, the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park shuttle picked up and dropped off at this location. The hotel had a heated pool, accessible through the gym entrance, and a water station was available next to the gym, so there was no need to buy water. There were two restaurants inside the hotel, as well as a Starbucks in the lobby. Tim Hortons and McDonald's were just a few feet away from the hotel entrance. read more

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver for two nights while visiting the city. First off, it's in a fantastic location downtown. A number of areas that are worth checking out, especially as a visitor, are within walking distance or even a short car ride. For example, it's right by Stanley Park as well as the water and Chinatown and Little Italy are within a reasonable walking distance. The hotel itself is nice. Check in was friendly and efficient, and navigating the elevators and rooms was easy. Although we booked for a king, we arrived at 9am and the hotel was willing to accomodate us right away in a double room they had clean and available. We didn't mind this as we prioritized having a room in general vs having our preferred room so this was nice to be able to fully check in so early in the morning. The room was spacious and pretty modern. All the standard features of most hotels were available - flat screen TV, desk and office chair, etc. They also had two suitcase holders which was really nice so we could prop up both our suitcases. We honestly didn't spent too much time in the hotel as we were out exploring but everything we experienced was nice. Additional staff members were friendly and greeted us with a smile as we walked by and the whole stay was smooth and welcoming. read more

Really enjoyable stay at the upscale Hyatt Regency in downtown Vancouver. We wanted to stay a bit longer after our Los Angeles to Vancouver April cruise, so got a 3 night stay at this Hyatt. Marriott has done a number on me in maintaining my loyalty (both timeshare ownership and lifetime status), but Hyatt's point redemption value is at LEAST twice as good, and with their partnership with Chase Ultimate Rewards, it's worth always checking to see if a particular destination has a usable Hyatt. Vancouver did, so to maximize our stay, got a Hyatt Chase Credit Card to automatically get status (Hyatt Discoverist). It got us an upgraded room, complementary high-speed internet, daily bottled water coming in aluminum bottles, and late checkout. We got in early on a Friday to the Vancouver cruise port, and it was a 5 block walk to the hotel. They let us pre-check-in at 8, letting us know that we would get a text when our room was ready. They have a large room where you can store your bags (before or after your stay). We noticed later that the room ran out of space, so were using part of the lobby space (near the rental car counter) to keep tagged bags (with a dedicated attendant standing watch over it). The hotel is connected to the shopping mall (Royal Centre). It has a food court in the lower floor, and some of them were open during the morning hours. We got to notice all this while staying around the area. Our room was ready by 2 pm, so went back to reception, got our key, and went to our room. It's a nice, large room with two Queen beds, a 65 inch flat screen TV with most of the basic cable channels. There was a large desk with plenty of space for my laptop, a comfortable chair, and plenty of outlets. They offer two terry cloth robes for use, and the towels seem to be using Egyptian cotton? (i.e. very thick). We were on the 23rd floor, and could see the outdoor swimming pool directly below us (there is no balcony and the windows don't open). Plenty of storage space. The temperature controls worked well, and we were very comfortable during our stay. There is a small mini refrigerator and a small pod coffee maker. There is no way to heat up your food. We got to use a 'destination dispatch' type elevator for the first time at this hotel. There is an touchscreen console near the elevator where you would expect the up/down call button would be. You pick the floor you want to go to, and it will tell you which elevator to get on (A - E). The elevator comes, you get on, and that's it. On the side of the doorway, you can see which floors the elevator is slated to stop at and a display telling you which you are on)...but no buttons to tell the elevator where to go. (Hopefully there is a 'panic' button for somebody who didn't pick a floor to still be let off). It was really efficient. I didn't know if it had a load sensor, but assuming it did (since it did not ask for how many people needed to get on the elevator). We had just gotten off a cruise ship where waiting for an elevator (and seeing multiple fully full ones stop without being able to pick you up) was a daily aggravation (I know...first world problems...) Housekeeping was good throughout. We usually don't ask for housekeeping for a short stay (funny that rather than have to pick up a little bit before the housekeeper comes in, we just prefer to reuse our towels and live with our messiness), but this time, I really wanted to get my two bottled waters (complementary) because it came in those really cool aluminum reusable bottles. I wasn't sure housekeeping would feel insulted if I gave loose US currency each day as tip, but they didn't seem to mind. Got to use the workout gym everyday, and it's a good one, with plenty of treadmills and ellipticals and strength machines, along with free weights. One big no-no was the alcohol wipes used to wipe down the machines, was empty on one of the days I visited. They should have more than one dispenser to prevent that. For our final day (Monday), we were able to checkout a bit later (till 2 pm instead of the typical noon) because of the aforementioned status, so actually enjoyed the full solar eclipse across the US by watching CNN from our room (it was cloudy and rainy in Vancouver). We picked up a Lyft to the airport from the hotel (it was raining so didn't want to take the train with luggage), costing under $30 CAD and go there via local roads within 45 minutes. I got my final invoice the same day of check-out, and there was no balance on it (using points means tax and resort fees are taken care of as part of the points usage). My boyfriend and I stayed here earlier this month and thoroughly enjoyed it. The package we got included a high floor room with King bed, city view, daily breakfast buffet included and a daily $25 credit to spend in any of their restaurants or Starbucks, parking or room service. Food: We went down to the buffet for breakfast each morning and saved lots of money from not having to eat out. I liked that they serve breakfast until 11am so we had a later breakfast each day then went out and about on our days. Didn't even have to have lunch! The daily buffet was really good food, fresh, lots of variety of cold cuts, fresh fruit, hot oatmeal, scrambled eggs, turkey sausge (so good), sauteed veggies, roasted baby potatoes (my fav) and an omelette bar... among other items like bakery items, bread for toast coffee, juices. We had one dinner at their Mosaic grill (?) restaurant, my boyfriend's steak was good and my salmon was ok. If we didn't have the credits to use I would spend the money elsewhere on a better dinner. However, the staff at the mosaic grill and daily breakfast staff were extremely nice and friendly. Customer service: the hotel staff including housekeeping, servers, front desk, bell man were all so nice and genuine. The elevators are secure and very technologically advanced. We went to the pool once (it was too cold lol) and the hot tub each night. There were barely any people there, it was so nice. Would highly recommend this hotel. read more

They changed a little extra, but allowed us to check in at 10:00am, and the room which overlooks Burrard St. is amazing. Took a swim and jacuzzi too. The room is large, spacious and very, very comfortable. Wow!!!!!!! read more
