I recently stayed at The St. Regis Hotel during a short visit to Vancouver, and while the property itself isn't the most modern or spacious, I'm still giving it five stars--because the overall experience, service, and location truly exceeded expectations. Let's start with the hotel itself. Yes, it's an older building, and that definitely comes through in the layout and room size. The rooms are quite small, especially by North American standards, and the décor leans more toward "classic" than trendy or sleek. But what it might lack in modern flash, it more than makes up for in how well-kept and immaculately clean everything is. Every corner of the room, hallway, and shared space felt spotless and cared for. The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work. And then there are the details. The toiletries provided were from L'Occitane, which was such a lovely surprise! It added a real touch of luxury to the stay. Now, the location--this is where the St. Regis really shines. You couldn't ask for a better or more convenient spot if you want to explore downtown Vancouver. It's just a short walk to Gastown, the waterfront, shopping districts, restaurants, transit--everything. I felt completely safe walking around the area, even in the evening, and appreciated how central everything was. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this is an unbeatable base. But above all, it was the staff and service that really left an impression. Every single person we interacted with--from the front desk to the breakfast team to housekeeping--was genuinely kind, professional, and helpful. Not just polite, but warm, thoughtful, and competent. You really get the feeling that they care about your experience and want you to feel welcome. It's rare to see that level of consistent service across the board, and it truly elevated the stay. Breakfast was included and, while simple, it was very well done. A nice selection of basics--eggs, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee--and everything was fresh, nicely presented, and served in a pleasant setting.

Great place for food and drinks. Always when I come here, all the waitresses and waiters are so friendly and so polite. Their customer service is amazing. The environment is so cool, reminds me those 80's restaurant, great decoration. They always have something to offer. Love their menu, their dry ribs are good, and their gyoza and pizza are amazing too. Great offers from Monday to Thursday from 3-6 pm. Drinks and cocktails are so delish. Hopefully you will have a great experience like I did. Thanks

Nice hotel located central in Vancouver. Close to many Vancouver tourist areas - Granville Island, Stanley Park, Robson St, Gas town, etc. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful - quality service. Rooms are nicely decorated and well equipped. The amenities in the bathroom are high quality name brand. The shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion were so good that I looked online to order for home. Lol Complimentary breakfast is provided, and it's very good. Sit down style of breakfast service, versus buffet style. Food quality was impressive. There's also a bar & grill located next to the hotel. They have a happy hour that is good. Cost of stay was very reasonable. I would be willing to stay here again when in Vancouver.

Very nice hotel. Great perks like Fiji water bottles, white robes in the closet, and heated floors in the bathroom. They have complimentary breakfast but I didn't take advantage of it. The elevator is small-just enough space for about 3 people so take the stairs if you're claustrophobic. The room itself is small though. The carpet smelled pretty new I'm guessing it was recently upgraded. My room had a desk to work at which was helpful on my business trip. The staff is friendly and they'll hold the door open for you when you're coming and going from the hotel. After the heated floors, the location is the best thing about this place. Easy to get to the Seawall and near so many places to eat and several nearby coffee shops.

    Corner room, great area!

The St Regis Hotel in Vancouver is a gem. Located in Central old Town it is in easy proximity to Gastown and its steam clock. Also only a small distance from Chinatown and The St. Regis still has the charm of its storied past. Built in the 20s, it has been updated and has all the amenities you expect from a 4 star hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful The facilities are modern and top notch. The rooms are large and comfortable. Our bathroom had a heated floor that was wonderful! There is a pub/grill attached, and a hallway that access the Gotham Steakhouse.

A one-bedroom signature suite at L'Hermitage was significantly less than a regular room at the Pan Pacific and the Rosewood so I booked 3 nights ($625CAD/night). I got off the Silver Moon at 9:45am, handed my luggage off to a representative from Luggage Forward, and walked from the cruise terminal up to the hotel. My room wasn't ready, so I dropped off my carry-on and backpack and went shopping and to have lunch. I was still on my way to CF Pacific Centre when the front desk called, informing me my room was ready. I told them I'd return after lunch. Wow, I loved my room (707)! As you entered through a short hallway, you found yourself looking at a full kitchen to your right, bathroom to your left and then the bedroom, past a closet housing a stack washer/dryer. The living room was bright and airy because there were walls of glass. Past the kitchen was a den with a desk and sofa. Off the living room was a small lanai overlooking the pool. The kitchen featured a gas range, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. It was like a timeshare unit, not a hotel room, as there was tableware, glassware, etc. The only nitpick was the bathroom; it didn't quite measure up to the rest of the unit. It was small, with a full-sized glass-enclosed tub, a Toto (but without the washlet) toilet, and a small vanity and shelf unit opposite the vanity. It was totally functional, but I wished the tub had a shower wand, not just the rain head. If I could, I'd want this room moved to Hawaii to become my residence. The front desk staff were personable and friendly. The exercise facilities were fine. The L'Orangerie restaurant is located on the 5th floor ... more on that in a separate review. All told, I found the L'Hermitage to be perfect for me and will now be my hotel of choice when in Vancouver.

My favorite amenities--clothing steamer and hot water kettle--were promptly delivered. What's better than tea and wrinkle-free clothes? The room was quiet and afforded me uninterrupted sleep. The lighting at the desk caused my colleagues to compliment my visage on video conference calls. The location was an easy walk to everywhere I needed to go in Vancouver. L'Orangerie, the dining room and lounge on the fifth floor, was a lovely place to take tea and lunch. My dining companion and I had the place nearly to ourselves. On my next visit to Vancouver, I hope I'll be lucky enough to stay at L'Hermitage again.

You could also take a car but unless the weather is bad or you have mobility issues, it is just as easy to walk over to the terminal. We were in before to check in and because of the cruise, rooms were not ready early. But they took our bags and gave us warm, delicious cookies! When we returned later to check in, we received more cookies. (Insert Cookie Monster meme here.) All of the staff we encountered was very friendly, even the security guard on Hastings Street, though he didn't tell us that if we would just walk around the corner to Seymour there is an entrance without stairs that is better for luggage... We didn't bother with the restaurant after seeing the prices, but we can say that the rooms are lovely. Our suite was perfect for three people, with a nice living room area and a separate bedroom though the closet was very small for a room that could potentially accommodate four people. With the exception of a very worn out, past its prime chair, everything in the room from the furniture to the bathroom was in great condition, too.
