If I am ever passing through usually my go to for pizza. My favorite thin crust pizza!

We recently moved to town and were excited to try this restaurant. During our visit, we were immediately told "a stroller is an inconvenience" to which we kindly offered to park it outside given it was a small space. Our 1-year-old was excited about a baseball game on TV and was talking loudly at times, but remained seated throughout the meal, and we were actively redirecting him. Unfortunately, we felt very unwelcome during our visit. There were comments made about our child to other patrons by staff that made us uncomfortable. When we politely pointed out an error on our bill, the response was sarcastic rather than appreciative. There was no indication that children were not welcome in the restaurant on the website nor via signage, but we left feeling judged rather than welcomed. We live in the country and rely on delivery. Have ordered from them for years, the last 3 out of 4 orders really sucked for me. Perch was nasty, 4got my bacon on my pizza bread, and delivered a miss matched collection of odds and ends to try and make up a pizza bread. Another hometown staple. I live in Arizona and anytime I come home, I always make sure we are stopping at Park Plaza to pick up pizza. We always make sure we do take-out because dine in is tough, seating and parking are very limited. It's a bit greasy but I mean, delicious. Worst pizza in Dodge County! Ordered "House Special,"(cheese,sausage,shrimp,mushroom,onion and green pepper). The crust was stale and tasteless, barely enough cheese, undetected shrimps or mushrooms. I recommend dousing it with salt and pepper to give it taste. The chicken strips are comparable to frozen chicken from the grocery stores! I recommend eating anywhere BUT here! read more

We ordered our pizza and appetizers online and the menu can be a little confusing for newbies. There is a special pizza to pick but (shrimp, sausage, green pepper, mushroom and onion) then you can get one substitute So we Swapped out the shrimp for black olives. We ordered a 16" because we like leftovers for breakfast! it asked for one more topping to add for a 16" so we did extra cheese yet the xtra topping we were asked to Select cost $1.50. Wasn't sure how much the pizza was going to cost until we were done. It was around $20. We also ordered appetizers that consisted of deep fried cookie dough, cheeses jalapeño bites, and a Farmers Mix which was a variety of a few of Their fried items (waffle Fries, onion rings, cheese sticks, jalapeño poppers which were a cream cheese base-different from the jalapeño bites, mushrooms, and cheese curds. That sounds like a lot but there was just a couple to about four of each item. Now for taste. We had ordered pizza before but didn't think it was as good this time around-not that it was bad, the crust was a bit soggy by the time we got home. It was better the next morning. The deep fried appetizers were on par from what you get anywhere else. Bottom line is this restaurant has been around for a while and seems to have an extensive menu with a smaller menu for pizza. Even though it is called Park Plaza Pizza I'm not sure pizza should be in the name. Regardless I would order pizza again and maybe try some of their other entrees down the road. read more

For the life of me I don't know how any other pizza joint survives in Beaver Dam. This place is the best. I live in Florida but when visiting Wisconsin this is my favorite stop. Thin crust pizza with perfect sauce and lots of mozzarella. Both the sausage and the pepperoni are unique. Not plain old average sausage and pepperoni. It's the perfect pizza. I guess since it's the only pizza around it gets glorified. But it was not my "cup of tea", just greasy and heavy on the stomach. The meat pizza was okay, better than pepperoni, but I wouldn't order again from here personally. But if you're in the mood for pizza it does the job. read more

For greasy, thin crispy crust pizza with a dive feel this is the place. Been around for years (40+). Delivery or dine-in. Can get the Thin Crust in 8", 10", 12", !4" & 16". Also available is a 12" Pan crust pizza but thats not what they are known for. They have many appetizers, sandwiches and dinners to choose from also. The Special is by far my favorite. Contains sausage, mushrooms, tiny shrimp, green peppers, and onions. They sauce is sweet with excellent spice combination. Now they use 100% real cheese but I highly doubt anything is local. The pepperonis are so tiny and cute with kicking flavor. Plus nowhere else in town you can get tuna, sauerkraut and/or tiny shrimp on your pizza. Favorite pizza in town. I love the tiny, thick pepperonis. I miss the old school feel of the pizzas being delivered in the white paper pizza bags, but boxes make more sense. They've got a great selection of apps. Always delivered in a little brown paper bag soaked in grease. I love it! We usually just go with delivery, but have been in the restaurant. Everything a standard sports bar would have, and it's all hands down delicious. Pizza, burgers, wings, even steak dinners and gourmet sandwiches, it's all great. Well, you Yelpers are right! This place does make darn good pizza! I never heard of this place though I have gone to the movies right across the street many times. When I was a kid there was this place in my home town that made pizza like this. They made great, thin crust pizza cut into squares. Each bite was like heaven. They were around for a few years and then closed up shop. I really miss that place Park Plaza Pizza is the closest thing I have found to match that pizza from my past. I love thin crust and I don't know if they do a thick crust or not, I should have asked. But anyway, The crust is thin and crispy, the sauce is full of flavor, the toppings were all fresh and delicious and the herbs and spices were spot on. I got the specialty. 1st visit tonight for dinner, only 15 minute drive. Small place but very busy. Order a 16 inch 1/2 cheese, 1/2 hamburger. Bette thin crust and easily the BEST pizza in the area, similar to Bucks in Madison. Very reasonable and good service, well be back. read more

For the best greasy pizza in Beaver Dam there is only one choice. I have great memories of late night pizzas being delivered from Park Plaza. The rest of the menu is pretty darn good as well. With it being located right across from the movies it is also the perfect place to get a bite before or after a film. read more

I've been a fan since I moved to Beaver Dam a little over 5 years ago. Its old school thin crust greasy (in a good way) pizza. It reminds me of the Pizza Villa pizza I grew up eating in Fort Atkinson; right down to the little (in circumference) thick cut pepperoni. I heard the owners are trying to sell. Been going here since I was a little child going with my younger brother and father. Before we went to the movies across the street. I have NEVER EVER had a bad experience! Always amazing pizza and the cheese puffs are perfect, especially with their ranch dipping cup (usually have to ask but never been a problem) The dining room area isnt that big but they have no issue with moving tables together for a larger group. The prices for the amount of food you get is very reasonable. The older lady who usually waitresses and been there since I can remember is lovely and attentive. Sometimes not very talkative, overall she's been wonderful, and always good with my children and offers them a sucker when we'd paid, after asking us first if ok and they ate good, and the kids love it. I have two very picky eaters but they inhale the pizza from here as much as I do! It's wonderful to have a meal together that we all love! When ordered carry out its has always been quick and perfect. To this day whenever I have a chance to be in the Beaver Dam area it's alway a have to stop place. And if I don't have time I take an order to go or stop at the grocery store in town and pick up there frozen ones. The frozen isn't as great as the ones you get from the restaurant. Being a pretty strict vegetarian means ordering vegetable pizzas WITHOUT cheese, an easy order to mess up as cheese gets added to everything in Wisconsin, right? Moved here in '06 best pizza in town, however pizzas ordered during prime time tend to be soggy in the middle, they need to move up to an oven that can maintain the heat needed to handle the biz they do. Don't order the pepperoni it's smoked sausage. Ordered lake perch for $10.75 and got three pieces, a boat load of fries, a roll and cole slaw, a big disappointment, not that it was bad but Applebee,s has similar items for the same price and a larger portion. Burgers are good and greasy just need a better bun. I have worked at an Itailan restaurant for thirty plus years as a chef, Gen. mgr. and V.P. before pursuing other interests. I've been eating Park Plaza pizza as long as I can remember. There is something about it that you just can't get anywhere else. It could be the cracker-thin crust, or maybe the somewhat sweet/somewhat spicy sauce. I usually get either sausage, shrimp, or plain cheese. They have a wide selection of toppings here, which is cool. The price isn't bad, and it's usually easy to find some coupons. The delivery can sometimes be slow, but that's understandable for a little pizza place like this. The food is that good and greasy bar food that Wisconsinites know and love. Even though they're kind of pricey, their malts are delicious as well. The only gripe I have (and it's a minor one) is that I'm not a fan of their pepperoni. It's okay though, because there are plenty of other choices that keep me coming back. read more

Have been going to Park Plaza Pizza for years - by far our favorite pizza on the planet! We've never found anywhere else that makes the crust this thin and crispy, the toppings are generous, and the price a bargain! It's 'come as you are' casual, so no dress-up required. Great food for a great value. We'll keep coming back as long as their doors are open! BTW, road construction makes going in on the main street impossible, but don't be afraid to circle around back and enter their parking lot through the back street and exit the same way.
