We had a wonderful time at the resort, this is our third time visiting and it never disappoints. This time we went to the SPA and I can't say enough about Narda and Yesi. They both went above and beyond to ensure we left satisfied with our services. I was so satisfied that I returned for a second massage with Yes. My only regret is not getting a massage every day. Yesi has the most calming hands. I highly recommend her. If I could take her come, I would! Jesus at the rooftop pool was amazing!!!! He made us all feel like queens. He also made sure our stay was a memorable one by helping us celebrate my sister's birthday. Can't wait to return! We stayed at Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta from Feb 15-22 and it was a nightmare. My husband and son both got severe food poisoning, and multiple other guests were sick at the same time. The buffet showed clear cross-contamination -- we even found fish spines in the green salsa when no fish was being served at that station. That is a serious food safety failure. When my husband and child were extremely ill, staff told us we would have to pay $1,600 pesos EACH just for the on-site doctor to see them. After a long argument they waived the fee, but still refused to take any accountability. Staff were rude, dismissive, and showed zero concern. I submitted a formal written complaint during our stay and followed up by email. To this day, I have received no response. The silence speaks volumes about their lack of accountability. An all-inclusive resort's most basic responsibility is to provide safe food and handle emergencies professionally. They failed on both. I strongly caution families from staying here. read more

This is my second trip to Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta. The reason we tried a second time was it was a last minute trip and all other Royal-Holiday locations were booked. We checked in on 12/20/25 and out on 12/24/25 and stayed ont he 6th floor. This is my review from beginning to end. 1. No resort trasnportation to and from airport. You have to run the "Gauntlet" which first price was $95USD, once outside the airport dors we found a cab that took us to resort for $34USD. Would have preferred the resort transportation for safety and pricing concerns. 2. Food Options are an issue in the "Veranda", Buffet. a. Breakfast options are good except meat options are primarily pork. b. Lunch and dinner options were the same for 3-days and finally changed up on the 4th day. Mainly pork options, again, same fish daily. Beef was very fatty.Very disapointed on the ooptions in the buffet. Same food different day. C. Tacos, Taquitos, and Tostadas were all pork. the one day they had chicken taquitos, the chicken was very dry. d. I was very disapointed in the options and taste of the lunch and dinner. e. for the most part the restaurant staff was very good, attentive and polite. f. food labeling was almost non existent. you had to wait to find a staff member to ask what meat was in the food and/or what the food was if you could not identify it. At times the staff had to send out the cooks to let us know. g. Salsas were also not labeled by heat level. Couple of times i just rolled the dice and got burned... 3. NOISE!!!- The resort was very loud at night. Walls are very thin including the ceiling. I heard rooms next or above us, when chairs were moved, coughing, toilets flushing, etc.... Cars driving down the main road was very loud. There was zero sound proofing of the room. The main door was not sealed properly. The events at night would go on late and the bars later and we heard everything. I did not have a good nights sleep any night. A couple of times i heard drawers opening and chairs moving, and my first thought it was my wife but it was actually a room next to us. I can handle some noise but this was unbearable. 4. Staff- The staff was not the issue they were pretty good especially Arlyss our concierge. 5. The pool- For the second trip in a row they booked a wedding or formal event at the pool. They completely closed off one of the pools. Something i should have been notified about. The day after the event that same pool was closed off again. This cuased the two other pools to be packed. we couldnt evern enjoy it. there is a smoking section that leads to the beach from the pool area. Threre are signs everywhere that says "No Smoking". This area needs to be eliminated or moved. Everytime we walked to the shore we walked past the smokers and anytine there was a gust of wind we smelt it at the pool area. This issue was a repeat from our last trip. 6. The beach area was very nice. waves were rough a couple of days but at no fault to the resort. Great location. 7. Elevators- They are very small, extremly slow and not enough of them. One elevator was out of service also the entire stay we were there. Each elevator holds about 6-people. There were multiple times we had to wait for the next one because it was full or we just took the stairs. 8. The drinks at the bars were great and they were NOT cheap on the alcohol. 9. Maintenance- Every year i, along with other Time Share Owners pay a maintenance fee. Where is that money going. a.Rooms- Door lock broken, Door not sealed, Cracks on the flooring, Craks and chips of sinks/countertops. b. Dining room tables cracked and corners broken off. c. pool- stains on patio furniture, cracks on concrete. d. Elevators look like courthouse elevators. Cracks everywhere. Floors broken/carpet pulling up, walls peeling away, exremely slow and out of service. 10. the room view was very good overlooking the ocean. Overall and very dispaointing stay for a Resort/Time Share i am a part owner of. Royal-Holiday needs to inspect this resort to see if it is up to there standards. We checked into this hotel for a quick family vacation and it had just been one disappointment after another. Outside of a few employees here no one goes out of their way to make you feel welcome at this resort. Yesterday I tried to order room service while my wife got ready to go out on the town. The phone for room service rang for over 45 minutes with no answer. Next I tried calling the front desk and it was another hour without an answer. As we were leaving my wife stopped at the desk to see what the deal was no one seemed concerned that phones aren't answered. We were instructed to come to the front desk to place an order. Later when we got back to the hotel around 11 I went to the front Desk to just order French Fries. I was told that I can't order just fries. I have to order a burger or club sandwich and they come with fries. As stupid as that sounds I ordered 2 burgers and a club sandwich to get fries. After 40 minutes we got our food and there were only fries on two of our orders that totaled less than 20 French fries. The reason I wanted just fries is because most of the food here hasn't been very good and I figured how bad can they mess that up? The food is bad and I can overlook that if that was the only problem with the resort, but the worst part is the majority of the staff. Most don't acknowledge me or my wife. Hardly any eye contact or greetings. I apologize for not remembering names but the gentleman who checked me in was nice and the bellman who brought our bags was friendly as well. Everyone else seems bothered by the guests of the hotel. I worked in hospitality for over 20 years in Las Vegas and know that it is possible to do better. This place should not have Luxury or Resort listed on the name. Please do your research and read the reviews. The number one negative thing about this place is that it is far from Puerto Vallarta(approximately 30 mins south). Unless you rent a car or opt for taking public transportation, this will put a huge dent in your wallet. The hotel itself does not have many food options, two buffet style restaurants, and two reservation only places. The quality of the food is very disappointing, you're better off eating out throughout the city. The place is uderstaffed, but the staff that works there is hard working and nice. Unfortunately, the way we were greeted during our reception was less than speedy or informative. We got our room on the 6th floor, and on day one of our arrival, it looked used and outdated. There were many lime crusted rings throughout every surface, plus mold stains on the curtains and frames on the wall. The restroom had mold in the corners of the shower and toilet area. Other guests that i traveled with also claimed to have bed bug bites throughout their body. I will be coming back to Puerto Vallarta but not to this "Hotel". read more

One of the best views from the room I've had. Good shade during most of the day. Ocean is pretty rough. Red flag (do not swim) has been out our full trip. Brought snorkeling stuff but water is dirty and couldn't see any fish. Food is ok. As with most all inclusive places, order double what you normally do and usually you'll find a few things you like, while the others you don't like/eat. No one answers for room service when you call but they have an app you can use to order food. Shows up about 20-40 minutes past the time stated. Rooms are very nice looking but smell like mold. Our shower door doesn't shut all the way but you can still shower. Staff is great and friendly. Coffee bar is good. I recommend the tacos at the Mexican restaurant. The Chilequillas for breakfast is great! Our biggest issue was they deactivated our key bracelets to get us to come to the front desk. Even though we checked in and provided everything they asked for they said they needed the confirmation from our travel agency. Strange. We have been here four times we love this place. We have been all over the world and there's no place like this one is very good. You have to be nice to people, A fewtips go a longtips along way. People are very kind and are amazing. The rooms are amazing. We get there royal deluxe room. views are amazing one side is a jungle and one side is an ocean. It's a little far from the city, but it's because it's away from all the commotion. It's private beach Is like Cancun . The waves are not strong maybe someday when the weather is not good but they alert you whether or not. Picked up directly from your beach to go snorkeling, fishing or whatever activities you like . They have a kids club that watches the kids. We are from America. We have been here so many times the same people that were here four years ago are here taking care of everyone. My kids love them. They know them by name. we've never had any issues and it is very safe. If I could give this 10 stars, I would. read more

The hotel staff was very helpful and responded to our requests punctually. The view from the room is fantastic. Food service was good, especially liked the Italian restaurant (Andiamo). The hotel is located south of town (close to Mismaloya), so visitors should consider the distance to downtown PV when booking here. Hotel is newly renovated and very nice to stay inn. Rooms are spacious even though there is only 2 bedroom suites. The bathroom is really big which is cool a lot of space to move around and the view is to die for. The only bad side is that you can hear all the people from the pool we were on the 6th floor but god poor people in lower floors. The food is not great in the buffet but its edible. In Frida's restaurant the food is good but too spicy for my taste. In el pescador the seafood was good but too little in portions The Italian restaurant was the best food in the place for me. The pool and the beach were good great water temperature. The hotel is supposed to include the covid test, they have a nurse that goes and administer the test and the result takes about 24-72 hours to be ready but they never mentioned this we found out last minute which is not the greatest costumer service. While the location is awesome (south of downtown PV - 15/20 mins on a bus) and most of the staff is very kind, they're currently remodeling their property which every travel website, including theirs, fails to mention. So while we got a great deal for a last minute vaca to beautiful puerto Vallarta, it was annoyingly interrupted daily by jack hammers. All. Day. Long. You can't escape the mind rattling noise on the beach/Room/pool/restaurants. Nowhere. I think if you're offering a vacation spot for customers to come and relax, you ought to be very forward about construction taking place and if the customers should choose to move forward with their booking, there should be some sort of consolation for having to deal with such migraine-invoking / Wall-rattling construction.... ie: complimentary massages etc. When we called the front desk to complain about the constant noise, they said we had to contact our booking agent. Not very helpful. What should have been a much needed relaxing vacation turned into a huge migraine. read more

I would not recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Puerto Vallarta. I booked a 4 night stay and switched resorts after the first night. The food was terrible and had flies surrounding it at the poolside bar. The restaurants service was terrible, took over an hour to get a drink. When I expressed concerns to the staff and management they did not seem interested and asked me to fill out what I did t like. I sent many emails to the resort asking for a refund and have not had any communication or reply. The sink in my room was not working and when I asked housekeeping to help they did not understand. The way they treated my family and how the hospitality was not okay. The room service food was almost cold to the touch nothing had any flavor. Another thing was there was only 2 choices of beer and they also made my cousin change into a dress because she was wearing shorts and there were other people who were wearing the same thing as her that were able to get seated. If you are looking for an honest, unbiased review of the Grand park hotel, then this is it. First off, let me say this... would I ever recommend to any of my family or friends to go there, the answer is a resounding NO. Our trip started on March 17 from LAX. We flew straight into Puerto Vallarta. After having to go through the cluster called customs, we were ready to go to the hotel. We were then acosted by several " welcomers " trying to sell us all kinds of packages. After an hour of listening to their jargon, we finally got into a cab to go to the hotel. Going through Puerto Vallarta was a shock. It was the dirtiest, smelliest, most unwelcoming places I have ever seen. The whole area smells like a fart. It is bad. Ok, now the hotel. The hotel is up on a mountain. It is a very nice hotel, other than it still smelled like a fart. We were guaranteed a king size bed on our online reservation. We were told they have none and would have to use 2 twin beds. It was just me and my wife so we were not happy to sleep apart. I talked to the manager about this, and he just laughed and said welcome to mexico. After we got our room, we were "assigned" an ambassador for the hotel. Her name was LUPITA. She was very nice to us. What we did not realize, is that this hotel is part of a vacation travel club. We were told we would have to sit in on a 2 hour, hard sell, in your face, travel club meeting. We were also told that we would be given a free city tour and travel back to the airport. We decided to sit in at the meeting, but left after 30 minutes because it was too much. Lupita then became a total bitch. She would not even look at us the rest of the time there, even though she was still our liasion. When we left she was mysteriously sick, and the ride back to the airport was on us. Here are the pros and cons of the hotel-- Pros-- 1. Clean. They were out there every day cleaning everything. One of the cleanest hotels there. 2. The Italian restaurant. This food is delicious. Just dont get the pizza. Otherwise great. 3. Pool and bar area. Very nice. 4. Staff. 90 percent of the people there were very kind and friendly. A few grumpy ones. 5. The alcohol drinks. They are the bomb !! 6. High on the mountain away from all the hustle and bustle. OK. Cons-- 1. Smells like a fart. 2. Buffet food was just ok. Nothing great, but all edible. 3. Mexican restaurant. Spicy, spicy, spicy. Too hot for just about everybody there. Even the mexicans would not eat there. 4. Liars. Unfortunately, they lied about several things to us. Do not take them at their word as they will only tell you what you want to hear. They will lie straight to your face. 5. Beach. The beach is strange. Small, with a great undertow. Several people almost drowned. Be careful down there. 6. No driving laws. Oh my god. You take your life in your hands whenever you get into a car !! If you have another destination in mind, go there. Puerto Vallarta is not worth it. read more

We are members of this vacation club and have to say we were very disappointed yes it was a brand new renovated Hotel but the absolute worst service I've gotten anywhere I've traveled I had to ask for toilet paper every single day ask for extra towels every single day ask for a box of Kleenex every single day not to mention my coffee pot in the room was not rinsed once by Hotel staff we did all the cleaning of our items our self We had to call and have them unclog the drain in the sink in the bathroom after being there for only 3 minutes then we had to call to have them unclog the shower drain so we could use it Staff personal were unaccommodating dishonest and very poor service I stayed in plenty of Royal holiday places and will never go back to this one it's supposed to be a Grand Royal not even close to Grand Food was okay nothing that I had to go back for a second time that's for sure I could go on and on I have never ever stayed in a hotel that has been so unaccommodating and don't cater to service Heard back from somebody with the resort who says all they can do basically is train their people and apologize to me NOT good enough. We have.spent thousands of dollars to take a vacation have no worries be a little catered to and relax they don't take it seriously and there's nobody that's in charge you can never find the man to go to. My review falls on deaf ears as far as the resort goes. Hoping people will look at this and choose elsewhere to stay. And we are members of this place.
