I would like to say that I have had almost all good results with PS and was surprised to see all the negative reviews. I order literally hundreds of plants every year from various catalogs and my hometown's nurseries. Park Seed's delivery and their plant materials have always been fine. Once over the years I've had a backorder issue and I just cancelled that order because it was going to come too late, and it gets hot quick here in Oklahoma. I have never had any trouble with the attitudes of the customer service reps and have called many times. It is impossible to expect every plant to be delivered exactly on time with no backorders, so I just wanted to let them know that I'm satisfied. Seeds have always been good too. CR read more

Delivery is sloooooow! Is order being subtracted out for bids? Who knows how long delivery time itself will be. "Packaging time" needed to put together 10 packs of seed prior to shipping is terrible. Order a year ahead if plan to have in time for planting season. Forget all those 15% off promotions and $2.99 shipping enticements. Not worth it. They do not respond to inquiries either. No idea about germination since I'm still waiting for delivery. Check reviews on Trustpilot for more information. Forget the reviews siting "virus" as excuse. I ordered seeds 15 days ago and according to their website would be shipped immediately. I called 15 days later to inquire about my order and was told rudely by their customer service agent that if I didn't like her southern accent she would cancel my order. I sent an e-mail immediately to the corporate e-mail given on website and 2 days later no response. I now have an e-mail saying my seeds have been shipped but no corporate response to the customer services issue. Very disappointed! I ordered nasturtium seeds and wildflower seeds beginning of April. There was no notice that either was backordered and were supposed to be delivered in 2 weeks. I called customer service after 2 weeks and no seeds and was told the wildflowers were on backorder and they were waiting to send the nasturtium seeds with the wildflower seeds.. I asked the service lady if they would send the nasturtium seeds because they needed to get in the ground now. She said that they would send them and basically lied to me. I waited 6 weeks to receive my seeds and just a few came up.. I think they were bad seeds because all the seeds that I planted for other companies have come up beautifully and I have not had any problems with them at all. My order was returned to sender because their website provided incomplete information about their shipping carrier they used, prompting me to provide the incorrect address (where I live, USPS doesn't deliver to street addresses, but UPS and FedEx do). I caught this error within a few days of the package being turned away at the post office and contacted their customer service with the correct address, so they could re-ship it when it got back to them; instead, they sent me an auto response and apparently returned all the items to the shelves. When I followed up to try to figure out what was going on, they offered me a store credit and explained that they were now sold out of several of the items I'd ordered. Thanks to their communication errors and totally lacking customer service response, my carefully planned growing season is now back to square one. read more

I was told that some seeds from the collection are on the back order, but they are willing to ship the seeds that are available through priority mail ASAP and ship the backordered seeds when available. Nothing in the mail. Call them again on March 26. Turns out the previous agent gave me incorrect information, and even thought they marked the order as high priority, they can't ship incomplete collection. Park seed seems rather unreliable. I won't be placing a future order. I placed my first (and hereby last) order with Park Seed on January 5th, and today I finally asked about the status of my order via Live Chat. I spoke to a "Whitney" who was slow, callused and not at all helpful. When I asked about the status of my order she stated that my order had shipped. I then inquired about a tracking number, since it is standard practice to have such information available to your customers when you ship something. She hesitates then says the items or being shipped today so we will have tracking information shortly. (Which is it?!) She said it was being shipped today and I inquired further about the delay, to which she replied some of the items were on backorder and that they wait until all items are ready to ship before they send out the package. (What the actual heck?!) When asked if this was their company standard practice, she flippantly replied yes it is. What kind of customer service does not inform their customer that the product they ordered is on backorder so that they can use this information accordingly?! I have seeds I need to start for the Spring planting season and am awaiting trays I purchased from Park Seed to do so. I ordered two plants for $60 to be delivered to me when they were ready to plant. The packing or lack of packing was unbelievable. They just stuck 2 plants in a box and shipped it. No protection whatsoever. I contacted them to complain...I got an email they would contact me later, but later never happened. I contacted a second time, heard nothing back at all. Very poor customer service. I ordered seeds in February during a sale. Too early to plant, right? Well, I planted them at the appropriate time and had a universally poor germination rate, around 20%. I just contacted Park Seed and was informed that the seeds were under a 90 day warranty which was now "expired", so I was out of luck. What a waste of time and money. I've been growing plants from seed for many years. Here in New Mexico, I start plants off in a greenhouse and then transfer them outdoors after Memorial Day. Over the years I've ordered, and successfully produced plants, from many sources. This was the first, and last, time I order anything from Park Seed. Of five species ordered, delivered in packets of multiple seeds, three species failed to germinate at all; the other two had germination rates of less than 25%. Customer service provided no service, just a promise to call me back in a week or two to see how things were going. Seeing as how I sowed these seeds on March 9th, I don't expect things to be going much better. read more

I'm pretty unhappy with Park Seed, and haven't even had a chance to test the seeds out. Actually, therein lies the problem - two weeks of waiting, and my seeds haven't even shipped! I didn't order anything exotic, and I only ordered seeds. Each time I call to ask when I can expect my seeds to ship, a very friendly customer service representative informs me that the seeds are "on the shipping floor" and should ship out today. Which, apparently is patently false. If it weren't for the fact that it appears that I'm actually being lied to by Park Seed customer service, even though in the nicest way possible, I wouldn't be so unhappy with the experience. Was promised a ship date of annuals, paid FOUR times as much as the big box store with the expectation they would arrive soon and 3 & 1/2 weeks later and two phone calls with long waits to customer service & they have NO CLUE when my plants will ship. No emails to let me know status, NADA. Each customer service rep promised ship dates the following week because "they were a little behind". I accepted that the first week and then still nothing. All this waiting.... while I watched the jet black dirt in my garden while other gardens in my neighborhood begin to flourish. Off to H.D. I purchased a combination of live plants, tubers and seeds from this company because they were listed as one of the best seed companies to buy from. When delivered the plants were brown, wilted and 90% dead. The tubers might be OK, but I am a bit skeptical given how shriveled they were at the tips. We'll see. The seeds have not yet been delivered even though I ordered everything at the same time over three weeks ago. Soon it will be too late in the season to plant them. You would figure with a $13 shipping fee the company would figure out a way to deliver their products within a week. I am very unsatisfied with my experience at Park Seed. I placed an order for a prize winning blackberry bush last year. In March when the plant was scheduled to arrive all I got was a postcard claiming the company found I had credit with them...... thats it. No apology, or gee we had a horrible year for blackberries. Then they only gave me a certificate for my purchase, not the 10 dollars in shipping I paid. I planned on ordering something else but decided to just ask for my money back. I received a confirmation number for my purchase with shipping and waited for my refund...... it never came. I am an experience home gardener. I have an indoor greenhouse to start my seeds. This year I decided to buy easy wave, tidal wave and shock wave petunias from Park. Only 1% germinated. Stay away! If I could give 0 Stars to this company, I would. I do not write negative reviews, but this company deserves it 100%. My order never arrived, nor did I ever receive a confirmation letter so I figured I made a mistake during the order process and it didn't go through. I placed another order. Nothing. So I called them and was informed that both orders were in place, but they were too busy so it was never sent out (very professional). I cancelled my second order and requested a cancellation email confirmation. Never got it. Ok. This order was supposed to be a gift for my mom who lives out of country. I was planning to bring it to her during my visit. My flight a week away. So I called the company again and offered to pay for overnight or 2 day delivery, anything it takes for me to receive the order before I leave. I was told that on time delivery was not guaranteed. Not to mention, a lady on the phone had an attitude. She actually suggested to cancel the order!!!!!! The customer service was just the worst. They just don't care. Anyway, I cancelled the order and requested email confirming the cancellation. Never received it. In fact, on their website the status of the oder is not cancelled.
