Korean Bourbon Wings
Julie B.

This was my first time here and overall I was impressed! Loved the bar atmosphere. They have a huge bar area and it seems to keep busy. This is an adult bar so you must be 21 to enter. I will mention that it was a little difficult to hear and carry on a conversation with anyone who wasn't sitting directly next to you. Our bartender was friendly and kept our drinks filled throughout our time there. I went on Monday which is 50 cent wing night. They also had $5 margaritas from 5-7 for happy hour. They have different specials on different days. I ordered the Korean bourbon wings and enjoyed the flavor. They had more of a kick to them than I was expecting. It was nice to see a bar in the area that is a little different than the typical bars around.

Great spot for some elevated bar food. I had wanted to try here for some time and finally made it in recently. There is a ton of space and even more it looked like for the outside areas when the weather changes back. The inside had a cool vibe to it. Super clean and modern looking. The service was also really fast. Went group had the soft pretzels as an app. They were really good. The cheese could be improved. It just tasted like a nacho cheese, rather than a beer cheese. For my meal I had a cup of French onion soup and wings. The French onion soup was incredible. So much flavor and a perfect ratio of all the ingredients. For my wings, I ordered the hot flavor. It was a delicious wing sauce. Really good buffalo flavor with just the right amount of hot. Their ranch was also very good with them. Looking forward to stopping back.

This is a great space! Several large bars w ample dining area also. Open and modern setting, and priced right. Grilled chicken salad $14 was overflowing the bowl. Others in our group had dishes w fries or tater tots on the side and it was amazing how large those portions were. Def recommend you give this a try. The French onion soup lo9ked terrific also!

This was our first time in since it opened. We were seated at a high top table, which the seats were WAYYYYY too tall for. I could barely fit my thighs underneath the table (and I am a small person) and then you have to hunch over to eat your food. Chair to table height ratio needs addressed, if you ask me... It was all very brand new, so looked nice! I am curious to see the outdoors once that time of year comes around again. It looks like they were still building onto it at the time. I also thought the entire restaurant was far too loud. There are no sound-proofing on ceiling and it's just one giant shell of noise. There wasn't even many people there when we went so I could only imagine when it's crowded. I couldn't even hear my husband across the table. The food was good. Nothing to write home about really. Basic, but tasty so for that reason, I would get takeout or try the place out again after they've worked out some of these kinks (or they won't and that's fine too I guess.) I got a buffalo chicken wrap, it was good. I ordered sweet potato fries and disclaimer that they cover these in sugar! I wish I would have known that prior to ordering them so I could change that.

We had a babysitter for the night, so decided to stop by Park Social (as they're a 21+ bar/restaurant). We were there at prime dinnertime on a Saturday night and the lot was full but to our surprise, we were seated immediately. The food menu has a good variety of options, but we were surprised there was no beer or wine menu. Our server just told us they have the "usual" beers on tap. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned and I had a Dirty Martini and neither hit the mark... I'd definitely stick to the beers or wines next time. Food was good, though, and I thought the portions were great for the price. As others have mentioned, it is really loud, so we didn't stay to hang out after dinner. I'd definitely like to stop back when the weather's nice to take advantage of their outdoor seating.

I've been here twice so far. The one thing I can say that is consistent from both visits is that is is sooo loud in here! First visit we were in the main dining area, I couldn't hear one of the folks sitting at my table as she was talking to us. They have sound baffling panels it looks like in the ceiling but they don't work. Last night we went again, we were in the back area in a corner. It was decent for a while because we were the only people in that area. Then they started really turning up the music, two of us had to ask them to please turn it down. Then as our section filled up it was loud from voices. I left hoarse because we had to yell to have a conversation with people at our table. Horrible acoustics here. Food, first visit did the sliders. Menu said $2 sliders, we assumed they were burger sliders. Server came over and two of us tried to order them only to be told...yeah that's wrong they are chicken sliders and they are 3 for $7.50. Got them anyway. The slider rolls were really dense and not good. The chicken was a chicken tender cut in half. Others had fried apps and said they were decent. Next trip food; pretzel app, that was decent. Got a club sandwich and tots. The club was a little different than a normal club. Mainly ham and a tiny bit of turkey. It also seemed to be grilled and not on normal toast. It was decent, tots are always good. Another person got the flatbread. She said it was decent. Not crispy however like a normal flat bread. Others got wings and really seemed to enjoy them. Although one was given the wrong wing sauce, but he ate them anyway. I will probably go back again but today I have no voice from having to yell at my fellow table mates.

Great bar! Right in South Park. Indoor and outdoor seating. Huge bar, with tons of beers on tap and in bottles & cocktails! They have decent menu offering lunch and dinner options. They also do tons of fun bar events like bar bingo & themes!

It's a bit high priced. And I think it's meant for the younger crowd. But fish sandwich was great

I most recently visited Tillie's on a Sunday evening in July to celebrate my sister's birthday…read more This restaurant has been a long-time favorite for my family, and I have always enjoyed visiting here. Tillie's is located on 36th Street in McKeesport, just a few minute drive from the high school. It is also rather close to the Boston neighborhood. The building has adequate signage and is easy to locate. There is an entrance off of 36th Street as well as off of Kountz, and both are usually open. There is some street parking surrounding the building, along with a private lot to the left of the main entrance. I have never had an issue finding somewhere to park when dining in. We arrived to the restaurant around 5:30 PM on a Sunday, and it was not too crowded. I dined in with a group of 5, and we were seated immediately. I have been here on Saturday nights where there is a wait, so just be mindful that there could be a wait during peak business hours. In addition to the normal menu offered, there were some specials also available. We did not order any of these this trip, but there is the potential for some rotating dishes if you come to dine here! To start off, we ordered a few appetizers for our table. We got an order of the Fried Provolone Cheese, as well as the Fried Calamari. The Provolone is in wedges, and served with their marinara sauce - they were crispy and melty just as you want them to be. The Calamari are served with the marinara, along with a special dipping sauce. Both were good and complimented the Calamari well! Additionally, thick-sliced bread is provided for the table before the main courses come. They will refill it if you ask, and it is always delicious. For my main course, I ordered the Parmioli, which is a Tillie's special dish. It is Chicken Parmigiana topped with a giant cheese ravioli and baked together. It is a favorite of my family, so I have enjoyed it many times before. This time was no different, and the dish came out delicious! It was definitely enough for me to have some to take home. The entree came with the choice of a soup or salad, and I had a Small House Salad with a side of ranch. It came out as a nice appetizer before the meal, and was fresh and colorful. Other members of my family ordered different entrees. All were enjoyed by the person who ordered them, and included in my review are some pictures of these dishes: Chicken Alfredo, Lasagna, and Chicken Parmigiana (no mushrooms). There was also a Small Caesar Salad, and a Cup of Wedding Soup ordered that were included with the entrees. Beyond what we ordered on this visit, I would recommend trying the pizza to split with a group. It is especially great if eaten fresh while dining in. If you are undecided or want a lot of food, the Specialty Trio Combination Dinner is a great way to try multiple dishes. Our meal was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed their food, it was all hot and fresh, and was prepared well. The service was excellent, and we had a great experience with our waitress. We have really never had a bad experience here before, and will continue to keep coming back. The prices here are very fair. All meals come with the table bread, a soup or salad, and then the main entree. Most are around $20, but for what you receive it is worth it. A lot of items are made in-house, and the sauce is unique and tasty. I would recommend this place on value alone. I always love coming to Tillie's, and this visit was no different. The food is classic and as close to true Italian as it gets. The charm, atmosphere, and staff all keep me returning time after time. Tillie's has that old-time Italian restaurant charm that reminds you of a different time, but in the best way. Do not miss your chance to try this classic gem if you are thinking about going!

Tillie's is a wonderful neighbor gem for Italian food! They offer a broad assortment of offerings:…read moresoups, salads, pizza, house made pasta, chicken, veal, and fish entrees. Portions at dinner are large, and to-go boxes are usually needed. One meal to check out is the trio of favorites where you pick three from a list of six. Your plate will overflow with food! Most entrees come with soup (wedding or minestrone or house salad. For a small up charge you can get caesar salad or crab soup. All are very good. Plus, they drop a basket of large slices of Italian bread with butter on your table. The atmosphere is vibrant with friends and families sharing stories and enjoying their time together over good food. They have a full bar, so you can order alcoholic beverages as well as soda, coffee and tea. They have a dessert menu. But, I've been to Tiilie's three times, and there's just no room for dessert after a large delicious meal. Tillie's has been really busy every time I've dined there, which has been Saturday nights, with customers waiting for seats. I highly recommend reservations. Because the restaurant was so full during my visits, service can be a little slow. Soups and salads usually come out quickly, but it takes time to receive the entrees. Again, the place has been packed when I've been there, so it might just be a capacity issue. Parking is available on the street and in a lot next to the restaurant.
