This was a very nice airport hotel in Brussels. The hotel seems new, or at least newly renovated, and very clean. The bed was sufficiently comfortable and the shower and tub were excellent with good water pressure. The WiFi signal was sufficiently strong but you have to log into it via some social networking setup, which I thought was really strange, I much prefer the random log in / password generation that I am accustomed to from the US. The default television channels come in a variety of languages, including German, French, English, and Dutch (and probably others).
The breakfast restaurant at the Golden Tulip is very, very good. There is a buffet with a good variety of food to choose from and everything seemed to be very high quality. I also had dinner in the dinner restaurant one night and I was less impressed with the food quality and selection, plus is seemed overpriced.
My colleague set up my reservation for me and used some sort of third-party booking site (Hotels.com maybe?) and saved a significant amount of money on the booking, consider doing the same if you are planning your trip well in advance. read more
