I started neuropathy treatments at Parker Integrative Health a few months ago. At first my legs hurt worse than ever. Now they are tight. But I keep going because CHANGE IS HAPPENING!! I realized that the pain, burning, tighness--Everything going on with my legs--is kind of like when your arm falls asleep and you get a rush of "pins and needles" before the normal feelings return. I'm also getting B12 injections into my legs to help with the neuropathy. Things changed so fast with their system that I decided to start a #Neurofeedback program. I'm about 10 sessions in and am finding my concentration levels are going up fast--I'm finding myself reading more and more with each passing day!! I thought I had just grown to hate reading, but my brain was maybe just oversaturated. My therapist on Kaua'i recommended "The Body Keeps the Score" by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, which discusses how neurofeedback programs help the body and mind. Now, I am fortunate to have the time to recover too--any athlete will tell you, it's good to work your muscles, but RECOVERY time is equally important, so back at home, I'm giving my body/brain a chance to rest and not be stressed. I had been working weeks of 13-hour days due to a crisis at work and was hoping to try a treatment that could help my stress level. I made the appointment well in advance. I received two text messages, an email, and a phone call I had to return, to ensure I would show up on time. Because I was told the treatment would take 90 minutes and the drive also took 90 minutes, I had to pay someone to watch my dogs instead of taking them to the office as I normally would. I had to print out 13 pages of forms and spend an hour filling them out. I had to stop taking my medications the day before and day of, and I had to schedule an early morning meeting to ensure I could manage the appointment in the middle of a 13-hour day. I arrived early in case there was any additional paperwork and allowed an extra 15 minutes in case it ran over. And then I was kept waiting for 35 minutes. I couldn't stay any longer, and while I was on my way (another 40 minute drive) to the office, I received a call from the doctor saying she was sorry, but her schedule got backed up. Not only is this unprofessional but highly disrespectful of my time and energy, not to mention the money it cost me. I showed up ready and on time for an appointment that apparently I took far more seriously than they did. read more

I've been battling migraines for almost 10 years now that were ALWAYS accompanied by stomach issues, and had been going to another chiro in Parker for a while when I met Heather from PIH and decided to give PIH a try because they offer nutrition services (in addition to a laundry list of other things!). I decided to do a cleanse through them in February (where they don't want you starve, they want you to eat as much as you want, but from a limited list of whole foods), and I have since figured out that dairy was largely the culprit, but that other factors do impact my headaches as well (sleep, gluten and msg primarily). I still plan on utilizing their services to test my blood to figure out what supplements I should be taking, and I also want to have a thermography scan as well. And at some point I'll probably consider stem cell or PRP therapy on my left ankle which I broke as an adult and have quite limited range of motion in. They also do neurofeedback, and brain based therapies. BUT, I love knowing that I can have all of this done in this one office, and with such supportive and caring staff. Have you been told you need surgery on your back or a limb? I would highly recommend seeing this group before doing something invasive (and expensive!) when you could heal yourself in less invasive ways. In addition to stem cell therapy, they offer Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy, which uses your own fluids to heal yourself, it's quite amazing! They spin your blood to remove the plasma, which they then re-inject into an injured spot, and your body sends white blood cells to fix this new irritation and heal that area that was problematic. I can't say enough good things about this group, they are fantastic!! read more

I am quite disappointed overall, their methods were very unusual and from the reading I have done not a traditional method of diagnosis. From my experience they have you complete a questionnaire of over 200 questions that once anyone reviews it can "diagnose" any likely condition with ease. It isn't hard to appear experienced and diagnose someone's problems on an initial consult without being told when you have a large questionnaire. The QEEG Neurological Exam is completed using very basic equipment and is not nearly as effective as others. I believe this is more of a you think you're doing better and you find that you are placebo type of treatments. They offer products that are extremely over priced as well. The staff is also inconsistent. Sometimes they are happy and friendly and others very rude and short. Some Don't seem to "enjoy" their job. The only thing I would recommend from their office Is the contracted chiropractor if in the area for convenience. read more
