So far, up until this point, I have had an enjoyable experience using Neurosurgery One for my cervical fusion surgery and recovery journey.

Dr. Kimball and Sean have provided the absolute best medical experience I have ever had!…read more I started having severe hip and leg pain in March of 2023. No one knew what to do with me. I changed PCPs, and neither the new or old one had a clue. I went to a spine specialist (non surgeon), interventional radiolgist, chiropractor, and PT. PT helped a bit. The spine Dr. suggested surgery, but had no idea who to refer me to. It was awful that no one could help. I got Dr. Kimball's name from a post-op nurse who has seen his results, and I called for an appointment in early November. I was warned that he had no openings for consult until January and no openings for surgery until March, but advised to come see his PA, Sean, to see if I even needed surgery. I went for the appointment with Sean, and Dr. Kimball (after seeing my MRI) walked into the exam room, told me that I couldn't wait for his next opening, so he was going to make an opening in December. I had surgery the first week of December, and today I am 100% pain free. BEST NEUROSURGEON EVER!!!! Dr. K and Sean really are the absolute best!!! I don't even want to think about what my life would be without Dr. Kimball!!

From check in to PAs to scheduling-every person I have interacted with has made me feel comfortable, informed, and welcomed. Dr Kimball's knowledge about total disc replacements is top notch and he has trained directly under the doctors in Germany who created the protocol. I am so grateful to have such a knowledgeable and experienced neurosurgeon in this specialty right in my backyard. My father has been so impressed that he may be considering flying cross country to get the same procedure done! I Included photos of their prototype of the prodisc they showed me during consults!

Complaint about Dr. Kimball's Office and Staff I am writing…read moreto express my extreme dissatisfaction with the staff and scheduling practices at Dr. Kimball's office, specifically regarding the unprofessional conduct of the director, Lisa Douglas. I have been a long-time patient, but my recent experience has been unacceptable. I was scheduled for an appointment and, for the second time, had to take time off work. Just 20 minutes before my appointment, while I was already on the road, the office called to reschedule. I showed up to the new appointment, where I was informed for the very first time that my insurance was out of network. This happened after I had already undergone an MRI. It is a fundamental responsibility of a medical office to verify insurance coverage before performing services, and to communicate this information to the patient in a timely manner. When I expressed my frustration, the director, Lisa Douglas, responded with a profound lack of courtesy and empathy. She told me I needed to have "sympathy" for their disorganized scheduling and that the doctors were "literally running to the ER." Her dismissive and rude behavior was completely unprofessional. It is not the patient's responsibility to manage the clinic's internal chaos. Lisa Douglas is the rudest and most snobbish person I have ever encountered in the medical industry. She lacks basic sympathy and compassion for patients. I have been waiting for surgery, and now I am left to find a new provider because of their negligence. It is ludicrous to think I would get surgery done out of network, and this should have been mentioned from the very beginning.

My voicemails were never returned, my portal messages never answered. One time I called to cancel an appointment to be told by a very rude person that the reason it was more expensive to get procedures at this location is because they were bought out and now have to do any procedures with anesthesia at a surgery center. All off the procedure Dr Mogium suggested were 400% more then I had ever paid even with insurance. When I started questioning this I was no longer helped. This is definitely not the place to go to be helped.

My experience was positive at first until I found I couldn't afford the co pays for their recommended procedures and declined. injections aren't guaranteed and plunking out $409.00 out of pocket horrified me. I also wanted to cut down on my meds as it was affecting kidneys. After discussing this with Hortense I was let go and told to go to the other pain management place. I felt abandoned!!! I guess if your not spending big money with this place your not wanted!! Also, their co pay was double of my last establishment! They were $200.00 a shot and $30.00 an office visit not $40.00. Sorry Hortense I give you two stars! I don't understand how you know a person can have the pain I do and not just be counseled by PT and possible future acupuncture and massage. Why does it always need to be invasive?
