What a fun way to bring people in to your business!…read more The last Friday of each month the Parker Chamber of Commerce holds the Parker Wine Walks May through October. Tickets are $15 for 10 samples of wine from the various businesses along Mainstreet in Parker and a souvenir wine glass. A lot more than 10 business participate in the walk as well, so you have a chance to swing by different ones each time if you'd like. They had several bands playing along the way. People in Parker always seem to be so friendly too! My only "complaints" were that sometimes the signs directing you to the participating businesses were a little hard to see. You are provided a map of all the businesses, but who wants to use that?! Also that while the name includes "walk" they do not want you walking about town with your wine. Understandable. A nice volunteer informed us when we proceeded to walk and sip. Oops! Def going to keep this in mind for future Friday fun!

Plenty of great places to eat, my favorite is Indochine which we frequent regularly. Also popular are Black Haus, Parker Garage and if you enjoy live music, the Tailgate Tavern, and a brief walk off on lovely, quiet Pikes Peak Rd is Rory's Diner. There were 23 or more merchants to visit, chat with them and other walkers, and have a bit of wine along the way, too. Just a lovely time.

They greeted us immediately and gave us a map of the property. We had fun walking around and checking out the animals and historic buildings on site. It is wild this place is right in the middle of a neighborhood. The only issue we had was parking because we the lot is full you're out of options.

Wow, my yesterday's visit to this historic park was so mesmerizing. It's because of their annual…read more(?) "Bright Nights" (originally a lantern festival.) It is said that they unveil a brand new theme each year and this year's theme appears to be focused on some Eastern cultures such as cherry blossom and bamboo forest with pandas. Not that I have been to many lights shows and yet I must say that I have never seen anything quite like this as far as my recollection is accurate. In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.

Recently had my first visit to The Studio to attend Game Show Night with Rion Evans. The ticketed…read moreevent was really fun too! Most attendees had a chance to play games like Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, and Elimination. Rion Evans is a fun host and the event was very entertaining. Definitely recommend this event. The night we went, the place was packed. Our girls group of 10 squeezed into a table meant for 6 so it was definitely cramped. Every table was occupied but despite the crowd, the staff was attentive and kept up with our orders. I only ordered one drink and my tab was close to $20, which to me is a bit pricey (no happy hour). The Studio does offer a good variety of bevvy choices and a limited menu (I did not order any food but the other ladies did say the sandwiches were good). Will have to give the menu a try next time.

The staff from bartenders to servers were all extremely friendly and helpful. We only came in for drinks since we had just eaten, but the food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing. Next time, we'll definitely try it! A live band was playing while people danced, including the owners who were out on the floor having fun with everyone. It's clear they care about creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Great vibe all around. This is the kind of spot where responsible adults can eat, drink, and be merry. After walking past this place for the last couple of years, I'm honestly disappointed I didn't stop in sooner. It's a great spot to relax and unwind with friends or colleagues especially if there's live music playing. Don't miss out!

It was acquired by the Town of Parker in 1995 to use as a community center. A recent $3 million renovation has restored the historic portion of the building to immaculate condition and completely revamped the newer annex section. The complex includes an event room, meetings rooms, a dance studio, a 200-seat theater, an art gallery curated by the Parker Artist Guild, and an historical museum managed by the Parker Area Historical Society. The facility hosts community arts events and classes in theater, dance, music, and visual arts. The theater lobby now has a large concession area with new bathrooms and much more space and the theater has new seats and risers for much-improved sight lines. The theater is also now fully ADA-compliant. The renovations have been extremely well-done. The new theater lobby is spacious and has a well-designed concession area. There's lots of room for the art gallery and for the little historical museum off to one side. The original Schoolhouse section maintains lots of original woodwork and has been opened up to show the original layout. There are lots of spaces for classes and meetings. The Schoolhouse is right in the middle of historic Parker with lots of shops and restaurants a short stroll away. It is a great adjunct to the larger PACE Center which is a couple of blocks down the street on the edge of the historic district.
