I found a little kitten stuck in the truck frame and after hours of trying to rescue the little guy myself I just didn't have the tools or equipment. Walked into Parker's on a whim as they are across the street from my house and without hesitation got the truck in right away and a crew of guys went to work. They had to remove basically the front fender and then still figure out how to coax the kitten out. They saved the little guy and didn't charge me. This is a place that showed they cared. We were traveling north in Florida and had some vehicle issues, we were recommended to Parks to try and figure out why our car continued to stall. So we had our car towed to Parker's and explained to the gentleman on the phone that it sounded like our fuel pump was going out and we were informed that it wasn't that and he said the computer was only throwing codes for other things on the car. After we were told this I asked if we should look into changing the pump and I was informed that it wasn't the problem and then they said they couldn't figure what was going on. Long story short- I brought my car in for some tire service and got it back with a scratch (into the paint) on the center of the driver door and ensured me it was there before hand and not done by them.. ‍ Turned into a he said/they said situation and didn't take responsibility.. and I didn't make a huge scene.. In August 2024 I took my truck to Parker's to get an alignment and install brand new wheels onto the existing tires of my truck. During the mount/balance stage of the install, the tech placed wheel weights on one of the tires in an incorrect position, causing the brake rotor to catch the wheel weight and leave a nice long gouge on a BRAND NEW wheel. Following the incident, I was told twice by Chuck the service write to "COVER IT UP with nail polish, as I'd never see the damage on the inside of the wheel" Sensing Parker's wasn't one bit concerned about righting the wrong, I proceeded to order a new wheel that night- as I didn't want to start out the life of brand new wheels with one compromised and immediately subject to saltwater/corrosion damage as I frequently launch my boat in saltwater ramps....I couldn't guarantee the lifespan of nail polish and I surely didn't want to try to have it repainted-then wind up with 1 of the 4 BRAND NEW wheels being a different color than the other 3. I called back the next morning and spoke to Chuck who ONCE AGAIN, suggested I "COVER IT UP with black nail polish". I asked for a contact for management and ownership, wherein I was given the email to a lady named Gail. I sent pictures along with a polite and respectful email explaining what had happened and how after being told 3x that I should cover it up with nail polish, that I had proceeded to order a new wheel in and Parker's could cover the cost since they had offered no professional solution to the issue. A week goes by with no response, I send a follow up email telling Gail I expected a response by the end of the business day. An hour later, Kevin calls, saying I need to bring the damaged wheel by to look at it in person...apparently the crystal clear photos I provided him weren't enough to weigh in on decision. A few days later I brought the damaged wheel up to Parker's and met Kevin. Conversation was as follows, wherein I started out by telling him how I was a long time customer who has spent plenty of hard-earned money at his shop over the years, along with referring anyone I know his way, since a former employee of his had assured me long ago that Parker's always does great work and treats their customers right. **Kevin: Why did you feel the need to buy a new wheel Me: After being told 3x to "cover it up with nail polish, I'd never see it" by a paid employee and customer service specialist, I had heard enough to realize he had no intent of righting the damage caused by their employee. Furthermore, having a background in automotive paint, I explained that a paint touch-up would most likely not match the paint exactly and that no shop would put a guarantee on the color match, nor the life expectancy of the repair. If the repair wasn't performed perfectly, corrosion would undoubtedly start to show up at which point i would be SOL as surely Parker's nor the paint shop would want to deal with the hassle again, NOR WOULD I. In addition, my concern from corrosion comes from launching my boat at saltwater ramps multiple times a month. **Kevin: Well had this been brought to my attention, I would have offered to have the wheel refinished Me: In response, I asked Kevin who's responsibility is it to bring an issue like this to his attention, HIS EMPLOYEES or the customer who has to chase him down for a week- to which I received the deer in the headlights look-zero meaningful response was given...I then proceeded to repeat the above concerns about paint match, corrosion, and life expectancy of repair. **Kevin: Well, this is an aftermarket wheel, so things like this are bound to happen Me: So Kevin, you mean to tell me in 58 years of business, Parker's TIRE & Automotive doesn't have enough institutional and professional knowledge to be able to install a tire without it getting damaged? Kevin: Crickets of Silence.....finally followed up with "I'm not paying for this" and walking inside. To the bigger picture of this entire ordeal...during any interaction in person, on the phone, or via email-never once did I get nasty or be disrespectful. We are all human and make mistakes, but correcting those mistakes-in this case, lack of any effort to, is where I have an issue. Never once did i hear the following out of the owner of Parkers... -I sincerely apologize that this issue wasn't addressed or brought to my attention immediately - As the business owner, this is not how I expect my customers experience to go at Parker's -We shouldn't be standing here over a week later dealing with this, a corrective action/solution should've been given before you even left our shop on the first day. - I value your patronage over the years, in addition to all the referral business you have sent my way -I'm willing to work with you to find a solution to right this wrong read more

I came to Parker Tire for a Lube & Oil. They told me they only use synthetic oil, Ok I know that's more expensive but perhaps worth it. The service writer complete the write-up and I waited. Very nice waiting room etc. A bit later I was told that I needed, or soon would need two front tires @ $460 out the door. Then it turned out that I would "Soon need" front breaks also. That turned out to be $2050 for all four wheels, "May as well get them all done". Finally finished with oil change and got a bill for $101.??. WHAT!!! Well she said that the bill was $80.00 + Sls tax and "SHOP SUPPLIES". Why not charge me for the toilet paper in the men's room too. I will never be back, visit at your own risk. read more

Brought my car to these people for them to address why it was shuttering when I accelerated. They charged me over $100 for what they called a diagnostic. I was called and told a lie by one of the workers that the "velocity of the transmission fluid" was giving them an indication that it needed to be serviced. $588 for this supposed diagnostic as well as servicing the transmission. When I picked the car up I repeated what was said to me about the diagnostic and was given a totally different story by another worker stating that there is no test for this. So the initial worker who got me to agree to the servicing lied. They said the car was driving better. I got in the car drove a quarter mile down the road and it was doing exactly what it was when I brought it to them. I called back and spoke to the initial worker who had lied to me about this diagnostic. He laughed and told me to take it to a transmission shop. I remained quiet until I got the final confirmation from a transmission shop who confirmed that it was definitely a torque converter shutter. He said that it should have never been serviced. It should have been addressed by replacing or repairing. I went back into Parker's today to express that I was upset and felt I was taken advantage of. The person I spoke to immediately jumped into defense mode and pretty much gave me the attitude that it wasn't their problem. The right thing to do would have been to admit that it was not handled properly. Instead I was berated by a man child and told to leave. This man stated he was a "manager'ish" because there's no actual manager at the building. read more

My transmission needed replaced...Parker was going to charge me $9000. The Ford dealership was thousands less than Parker and of course they were over-priced. My transmission is being replaced for $4200 with a 5 year/60,000 mile transmission. Parker tried to rip me off. Avoid these people! read more

I've been using Parker Tire and Auto Service for over 35 years and have always been pleased with their work. Most recently I purchased 4 new tires for my pickup. The staff were attentive and took care of my needs at a reasonable price. The one thing that has brought me back again and again is the quality of the work. They fix it and it stays fixed. The few times I've had issues with failing parts, they stood behind their work and even warrantied the parts! read more

All the folks at Parkers are great but Steve and Randy are greater lol. We have used them many times but this past one takes the cake. I am a Hot shot runner and drive about 15,000 miles a month. I took my Dually in for a right rear axle seal, no big deal truck has 261,000 miles on it. Well I guess it looked bad so Steve had them check the other side. Sure enough it was very bad also even though it was not showing signs. Because of the weights I tow this could have cost me a lot of time money and inconvenience and my safety if It had blown that seal or locked up an axel while towing. 1/ 27/2021 Update.... the first two times I used Parker's, I knew they were higher in price and also did work without asking and charged me for it. This last time however was absolutely unacceptable. I schedule an appointment, told them what was wrong with my car diagnosed from another mechanic, and took off work to bring it in. I was called later to be told they wouldn't have time to fix what was actually wrong with my car. I went to pick it up and was charged $160 for diagnosing the problem.... what? I told them what the problem was to begin with. Also charge $11 for shop materials fee. Are you kidding me? When I told them I was not bringing it back and to give me specifics to take to another mechanic, I was told to make an appointment to bring it back and they would make it right? Like read more

This place is one of those places that every auto service should live up to. From the first phone call to the last thank you, everyone was great. I had a water pump replaced also had the front brakes serviced. When I came back from my trip to Miami, I was going to get my oil changed here this trip. I told Steve that I was concerned about the noise I heard coming from the brakes. He had them checked out and told me that the sound was coming from the rear. He not only replaced the front pads, but took care of the noise in the rear. I did not expect to do this at no charge. After bringing my truck to Parker's for rear breaks, I got my truck back and the break pedal didn't feel right. I called and talked to Steve, he informed me that well basically I didn't know what I was talking about. A couple of days went by and I brought it back insisting something was not right. They brought it in and looked at it and told me once again, I didn't know what I was talking about. A week went by, I brought it back again, this time they agreed to bleed the system or so they told me. Well 32,000 miles later, I have no rear breaks. They agreed to replace them under warrant. They told me the pads were bad to begin with. So I get my truck back, drive it home and I smell brakes burning. I call Steve and he tells me yeah, that caliber is hanging up on the left side bring it back and we'll put a new caliber on. Well if he suspected the caliber was an issue, why didn't they replace it when they put the replacement break pads on? Well OK, so they made a mistake and they had the break caliber off twice and now after 5 trips to the shop, with many lost dollars at work, they have the $%@@$ to charge me $141.00 labor to change the caliber!!!!! i was OK paying for the part but the labor? for about 5 yrs , been a loyal customer. had 3 different cars serviced regularly and bought 2 full sets of tires from them.but for the past 9 months or so i have been getting the feeling i need to have a large amount done at once or they dont think I am worth their time. The more i try to do things properly (i.e. make an appt) the main guy Steve sets me up for a failed experience.happened again just this week, Steve asked me to bring my car in Monday when i attempted to set up appt the week prior, the experience from HIM was completely intolerable and unacceptable.he stood less than 4 feet from me , back turned towards me and shouted out to the whole lobby to get me out of there while the other general manager worked together to solve the needs. for crying out loud, he told me to bring my car in and i did. a shame as the mechs i have met over the years and other general manager, Chuck are decent and have been great to me . well i had enough. read more

This business is a sneaky dirty one! Told me I needed new rotars and brake pads and I said I wanted my dad to look at them before I did anything drastic and the guy made me feel terrible actually made me cry, he said well considering you have a car seat in the back you want to keep your baby safe so it needs to be fixed and you shouldn't drive this like it is with him in it so I tried to call my dad my dad unfortunately did not answer and I caved and told them to do it they had my truck for 2 days the next day then call and say I needed something done with my calipers to which I replied no I don't, and they again made me feel bad but I did not cave this time. My dad went with me to go and get my truck to which they again mentioned my calipers which I already denied wanting service to. Then the guy told my dad he'd rather have my dad drive it home then me without fixing the calipers, I been driving it fine for the longest time so I said nope I'm driving it home. I drove it home and my truck started shaking. I get home have my dad look at it and drive it, my rotar was smoking my dad took it to his mechanic and he told my dad they didn't adjust the breaks so then inhad to get another new rotar spent $720, when all I really wanted was a tire. You can tell they are knowledgeable and that the mechanics are respected and appreciated. That feeling you get at a lot of mechanics where you're not really sure whether to trust them?
