Oddly enough this location is almost and in-and-out process. They have a person at every window and they seem to be working efficiently to get people in-and-out as quickly as possible. I have never had any trouble getting my licensing completed here and they are always really good about answering any and all questions asked. I will continue to come here to get my licensing as long as I am in the area. read more

This place came highly recommended. For some reason the person I spoke to was very condescending. It's too bad, considering I'm new to the state, I was hoping this would be easier than the hassle previous DMV offices have been all about. No one is going to read this, but if one does, coming in with questions is not uncommon. Especially since I had all the required information. Place is a joke, bought a Harley from a guy. The signature on file was not identical to the one on the signed title. She claimed I signed it. (aka Fraud) after calling Olympia to report fraud on my newly purchased motorcycle. I contacted the previous owner and asked him to come to the licensing office. He gladly obliged, after showing his ID and telling the teller that people signatures change after 10 years, she was unimpressed and wanted to continue this ordeal. Wasting a good 30-45 minutes of my life. She was completely unapologetic and seemed like she got her jollies off messing with people. Bad experiences run amok at this place. I got the last laugh, first off I have never committed fraud in my life. I don't steal, cheat or whatever else happens in Parkland clearly too often. read more

Don't trust the website. Whatever hours it says they're open is a flat out lie. I got there an hour and a half after they claim to be open only to find the door locked and a parking lot full of equally outraged drivers. We had been using a different licensing agency that was closer to the office but after getting bad information on 3 separate visits (which ended up with us wasting multiple company written checks) we ended up going to Parking Auto Licensing mainly because they took credit cards. Not only was this more convenient but April was more knowledgeable, helpful and friendly than anyone I've ever dealt with at any licensing agency. Not only did she process our title transfers very quickly she gave us her contact information and offered to let us send her paperwork in advance to get everything prepared ahead of time. I don't understand the negative reviews here. I've come here during lunch (very busy) and around 5 (right after work - super long line) and have been in and out within 20 minutes. I live in Yelm and still go here to get my tabs done. They are professional, friendly, and always do what I need right and the first time. I've called before and Ive never not been answered. Final comment, try going to the location in South Hill if you think this place is bad, you will end up wanting to rip your hair out and buying a bike so you never have to deal with them. read more

The Staff in this licensing office were extremely professional and the most customer friendly group of any I have yet encountered. The young lady who served me today was helpful, friendly, courteous and kind! She gave the impression that she enjoyed serving the public and she gave me first class service. Unlike my recent experience at the licensing office on E. Main Street in Puyallup, where the clerk was not friendly, courteous or kind, the Parkland office is very well managed and the staff has their act together. I highly recommend doing all your vehicle licensing needs with the Parkland office and avoid the Puyallup office unless you enjoy the rude & condescending treatment. read more

I went in to get my license tabs & was told I needed an emissions check even though I had to get one last year! Apparently if you go in after the 365 days you have to pay for another emissions fee. I thought it was every other year. So much for storing your vehicle and missing by a few weeks. The next problem came when she told me if I got back before 1:00(closing), I could still get the the tabs. Got there a 12:50 and was going to pay with a credit card as I was told I could earlier but was denied because she said they do not take cards after 12:30. I left upset but came back in asking if there was another licensing agency open on Saturday after 1:00pm. She told me they all close at 1:00. I felt she was lying to me and decided to Google other agencies in the area. Glad I did! There were a number agencies open until 2:00, 3:00 and 5:00 close by! I spoke to Jenna on the phone and was passed on to another lady there. No one helped me or even tried to. They offered excuses as to why they couldn't help and complained about how difficult there job was. I quote "well I was on the phone with customer service for 3 hours yesterday" and "you are not understanding my dilemma." It seemed to be all about how difficult there job was. Went in today with my grandparents in order to put in for a title on a 62 Chevy that my Grandfather has owned since 73 but the title was lost in a flood before they moved to Washington. They told my grandparents to come in with all the paperwork on the car they possessed in order to put in for a new title. A gentleman called us forward and without even looking at the paperwork told us that we had to present a title for him to help us. After explaining what we had been told over the phone he again told us we needed a title (This is what we are trying to put in for at the DMV!). When we explained the company sold the car was no longer in business and we had been told to bring this paperwork he responded with "well you better get in contact with next of kin" from a car sold in 72 in South Dakota. Do not know what is wrong with this DMV and its condescending Employees but I would never recommend going here as we easily had the licence issue taken care of at the Yakima Ave location. read more
