Over the course of the year I had many issues pop up that should've been covered by my home warranty, but my builder dragged his feet and dragged his feet. He's insisting that he was gonna come back and fix items. As we near the end of my one year warranty. I was having electrical issues so hired a different contractor to inspect the property thoroughly and boy as I pleased and upset all at the same time. Atlas Home inspectors climbed all over this property like a tree monkey for 6 1/2 hours and then followed up with an incredibly precise and very very well documented report showing over a dozen pretty serious issues, the most serious was nearly 4 feet of wiring that had to be replaced in the attic because the builders electrician had dragged it through the staples And stripped down to bar metal. How did my first inspector miss this, but more importantly, how did the contractor think? This was OK to leave because it was highly obvious if he climbed up in the attic and walked to the far end of the house. I've never been up there because I'm an old lady going through cancer treatment and the builder actually had the nerve to accuse me of going up there and stripping the wire in my own home. A live wire, yeah, right! Needless to say, the builder did send the electrician back out within a couple of days. The electrician replaced the wire and refused to give me my piece of wire he removed, which is evidence. Now the builder won't do anything about the other items so apparently I'm going to have to sue him . I already reported to the state contractors license board, but I could not have discovered all of these issues had it not been for my fabulous inspector at Atlas home inspections. While I'm upset with what he found, I'm eternally grateful that at least somebody paid attention and did the job I paid them to do. I feel like for the fee incurred, this gentleman went way above and beyond and I truly do appreciate that.

I immediately scheduled a time for Ryan (the owner) to come out and do an inspection for foundation repair. He did a thorough investigation and got back to me with an estimate and an explanation of all the issues that he saw. The issues were pretty extensive and it was going to involve lifting the house. Although I was nervous about the situation Ryan did alleviate a lot of my fears. From day one when the crew showed up until the last day when they finished, they were nothing but professional, respectful, knowledgeable, conscientious, well prepared, and prompt. When they left our house there was absolutely no trace that they were even here. They left everything exactly like they found it when they first arrived. I didn't get to know everyone by their name, but they were all five star, top-notch, and great quality workers. Isaac Brewer was the lead and he was inside the house a lot so I got to know him pretty well. I could tell that he took pride in his work and really cared about his customers. They were both the existing door and set it in the garage so we could reuse it in another part of the house. The covered all the floor surfaces before they started. They swept up several times while doing the installation. So they didn't track anything. They took the extra time to paint the metal brick support installed in 1993 over the door frame to match the rest of the door. Not part of the project but definitely brought the entire entry together. They also respond well to Home bake cookies. we have been looking at steel doors for years. Well, they're more than wooden doors. The quality and strength and durability is so much better. These steel doors cost about 50% more than a high-quality wood door. Each door weighs 125 pounds plus the glass door insert. The one piece metal frame weighs even more. I love the way there is no door knob. Just push.
