I'm just going to call it what it is, extortion, and I don't take that accusation lightly. Let me explain, at 12:00noon almost on the dot I pulled up to the garage. There are no rates posted, but as luck would have it an attendant almost came up immediately to my window. Nice girl, accent, European maybe, possibly Russian even, hard to tell, but very friendly and when I asked her what the rate was she confirmed it was $14 for the day. I explained I was just going around the corner to the Flor Store on Broadway for less than an hour, and she said, "Not a problem. She wrote 12:02 on my ticket, and then said, "pay the $14 now, and if you come back within the hour, I'll give you the difference back". And I thought, "wow, thats awesome, sure". So she gave me my change, and i parked and walked out of the garage with a coworker. We were back well within the hour, maybe 30 mins tops, and as we walked back into the garage the same girl was talking to a guy in one of those small white utility trucks. It maybe took us another 2 mins to descend down the rusted flight of stairs to P-3, and drive back up to the gate. Wouldn't you know, she was gone. Her post was completely abandoned and she was nowhere to be found. So I wait a few mins, and then I think well I'm going to back up and repark until she materializes again, and as I started to back up, a black Porsche pulled up behind me, so I had no choice but to leave the garage. It's too coincidental that she was just there only two mins before when we returned, so I'm calling it what it is, extortion. I've still got my ticket, #255778 stamped by "SafetyPark" and I'm going to keep it as a reminder to never park in their lots ever again, and I will be sharing this amongst my large network of friends and coworkers who live and shop in the Santa Monica area. But by all means, keep the change. read more

service is stellar. I've had a lot of run-ins with BAD customer service as of late so I was expecting much the same. What an extremely pleasant surprise. I would only purchase the parking if it was a sure thing that you're guaranteed to use it. If you're non-committal, don't even bother. I came to the parking structure and because there was no attendant to redeem my reservation I HAD to fork over money for the original daily rate. My negotiation was $12 for 4 hours of parking, which is a steal in a lot that charges $4 per every 15 minutes. I expressed my concern and they ACTUALLY gave me a refund because there was no attendant to actually help me out with it. The worst part: I had driven out to the venue for nothing as there was a miscommunication to where the ACTUAL event was taking place. So I had commuted to LA for literally nothing but to be charged to park in a place wondering around Grand street for 45 minutes. Freakin' LA always makes you pay for parking, but honestly... if you're into this and want to give them a shot I wouldn't knock trying it. I'm going to commit to rebuying their services in the near future since they were so kind and so helpful. I would say that if you're eating at some fancy schmancy place and that they only validate your parking for x amount of time when you need more time, this is a fantastic alternative. If only they did parking for around Disneyland + OC venues. That would be amazing because then people could save money to park. I've got high standards for customer service. They guarantee a good spot for parking and excellent rates. You let them know how long your stay is going to be and they totally give you the rate and they take care of the charges. If there is an issue, you ask to speak with mgmt and they get in touch with the service people. It's pretty easy. read more

This service is a big help whether you are accustomed to parking in big cities or are a stranger here. I do not need to go into the city often, but when I did a few months ago to meet my mother for a show, she suggested that I use the service. Both my mother and I experienced a glitch in our first experience with the service. The web site was great. The check-out was smooth. The business presents itself as very friendly, which is not something anyone expects in the parking business. After buying our tickets, we both felt we were all set for a trip to downtown Los Angeles. The glitch had nothing to do with the service itself, but with the physical navigation to the parking lot. We know how to use maps and how to get ourselves to new locations handily, but the trouble started when I could not find the address of the lot marked anywhere. There were two lots adjacent to one another and by the time I realized I had missed my entrance, it was too late. This is not a big deal in normal circumstances, but just driving around the block was not an option. Los Angeles is made of very busy one-way streets and bus lanes, and I was compelled to traverse about eight blocks before I could get back to the entrance I had previously driven past. When I pulled in the attendant did not recognize my parking pass. He was uninformed about who he was working for, apparently, and looked at me as if I were trying to pull a fast one. I talked him into accepting my pass and as I walked away I saw him dialing on a mobile phone. When we came back from our movie, I was not questioned, so the attendant must have worked it out. My mother's experience was similar, except she had pulled in the wrong adjacent lot and chose to pay the fee to the other company rather that driving so many blocks to get to the lot next door. This would all be minor annoyances during what was a wonderful afternoon, and I would not write about it, but I also would be skeptical about using this service a second time. However, the way their management handled my mother's complaint as well as fixed a mistake I had made in ordering, was gracious and stellar. These people care about their business and their customers. Their apologies lived up to their friendly image. When I suggested (almost on a lark) that they refund my mother's money because she had paid the other lot instead, they did so right away. Our experience could be chalked up to "user error" and ParkMe would have had a good argument for not issuing a refund. I give them five stars for their immediate responses and phenomenal customer service. I would do that even if they had not issued the refund. I only take one star away (with regret) because I believe they need to improve in the physical realm, making sure the lots are marked with big address numbers, and educating the attendants. If I ever need to park in the city again I will register with ParkMe again. In the big picture it is a real convenience. read more

Made a reservation for parking at 1 Cal Plaza in downtown LA for an early morning appointment. When I tried to use the voucher on exit, the attendant had never heard of ParkMe, and refused to honor it. When I tried calling the ParkMe support line at 310-451-9109 (as printed on my voucher), the line came back as out of service. I have also sent an email to their support address (feedback@inrix.com), but that seems to have also dropped into a black hole. The icing on the cake? According to the terms on their site, they will not refund a cancellation made less than 24 hours before the reservation. My only hope is that this isn't a cancellation: The service I paid $40 for was never rendered. Follow up: I did finally get an email that evening saying I could expect a refund in 5-10 business days. read more

The Park Me service is horrible. The full amount for parking was not displayed until after I was charged the initial amount, there isn't any way to cancel the reservation and no one answers the customer service number. Do Not use this service is has all the hallmarks of fraud. Even if I am able to cancel the reservation they still stick you with the service charge. read more

Don't EVER park here. Their parking policies do not make sense and are set up to give you a ticket unless you read the parking receipt from top to bottom. No option to prepay an additional time period! Transition times from Friday to Sat are not customer friendly and only benefit the company. Watch your back with this company! I made on online 2 day long reservation for downtown parking in San Francisco. When I arrived and presented my reservation, the lot owner told me that he stopped accepting reservations from this company a while back, citing some difficulties in dealing with the company! He apologized to me and I, being now somewhat desperate to park and on a schedule paid $50 for one of the last spaces available. I have tried to contact the company support email address, but my messages bounce back being declared spam - really!!! I have closed my account. read more

Horrible service. We reserved parking for the LA Fit Expo at the convention center, which happened to be the same day as the Grammy's. All of the roads were closed, including Figueroa where the parking lot was located that we had already reserved a spot to park at. How were we supposed to know that the road was going to be closed?! I think it is fraud for them to take our money for a reservation the day before, and then provide horrible customer service when we try to call to get our money back. Horrible company! read more

DO NOT USE: At least not near the Staples Center. I paid in advance for parking for a Clipper's game. When I arrived at the parking lot on Figueroa, the would not honor the price quoted by Park Me, so I had no choice but to pay the additional money which was $29 more than the amount paid online with Park ME. And they did not go to bat for me with the parking company that they had for sale on their website. Horrible customer service. I will never use again. read more

ParkMe SUCKS! On June 5, 2015, well in advance, I reserved parking VERY close to Staples Center for the July 14, 2015 Ringling Bros Circus. I needed close parking because I was bringing my special needs godchild. More than a month after I made my prepaid reservation, I received an email only July 6, 2015 from Jessica at ParkMe saying my prepaid reservation had been cancelled because their parking lot contractor "didn't want to vendor with them anymore". Really!?!?! Doesn't ParkMe have reliable parking contractors with contracts to protect advance reservations? What kind of outfit is this!?! I immediately got online and tried to find parking at Staples or other conveniently located lots close to Staples and-- no surprise-- NOTHING is available! I can't even get a bad parking spot in Staples Center. Shame on ParkMe for having such crappy service and bad parking lot vendors. If you REALLY want to be sure to have a parking space near Staples-- SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR PARKING. ParkMe sucks. read more
