I called Blue Valley and Brett answered right away and I could tell was on a job too; he said he'd come by to give me an estimate. When I spoke with him I could tell he was a very upright type of guy and would also do a good job. He told me he had commercial mowers and wouldn't be able to get inside a 3 foot gate for a smaller area that needed mowing but the majority of my lawn could be accessed so I'd told him to come by and do the estimate anyway but that I'd call him back if I found someone else. I found another company that came out in the evening and I completely forgot to call him back. I was swamped with work but there is no excuse for me not calling him back. I added to his workload. Brett came by and saw my lawn was cut; he called me and spoke with me very professionally. There's no shadow of a doubt that I would call Blue Valley Lawn again to do any kind of lawn or landscaping type of work and expect the best.

This was relatively a small job, as this was for a condo unit. After the bushes were torn out, for some reason they complained about the tree roots. Although, this was in their scope of work, we agreed that we would pay additional money for their efforts to remove any roots that were in the way of the edging. He knew he had to bring a saw to tackle the roots but never brought one. This Contractor was unskilled in the installation of the edging. In fact, he stated he did not like to install edging. After the removal of the bushes, this contractor would show up in the late afternoon around 4 to 5 pm but after the removal of the bushes nothing more was accomplished. The contractor indicated he had a day job and that he could only come after work. We did not know this when we decided to use them. We ended up firing them after paying 50% down for this project. All I got was bushes removed and uninstalled edging with two spikes! I would not recommend this company.

I have been a past TruGreen customer, I did not want another run with horrible customer service from the home visits to local management. Paxton responded with his services and specifically set up a program for what I needed and requested for my lawn. Precision offers different 'Step' programs, 4,5 or 6; mowing, aeration, grub control and other services. Precision used Advanced Turf Solutions for applications, a Michigan Based Fertilizer Company. Which I feel is a positive effect for Michigan lawns. Compared to other companies, Precision is very competitive and beats larger less reputable providers by 40%. Paxton did what he said he would do, showed up at the scheduled time and continuously kept me informed of his arrival. I wanted to meet Paxton for his first visit to walk the yard, confirm my lawn needs and hear about him and his company which I learned has a Noble History. Our first service included aeration, over-seeding and 1 of 6 step fertilizer applications. I have a high slope and shady yard with thick and thin areas. My goal is to even out my yard. I will report back during the season on our progress.

They cleaned up their job site, were extremely hard working and if there were questions, they asked so that we were all on the same page. Jack was very quick to respond by email and text. Although he got jobs mixed up some times, with telling me a product could only be ordered by a pallet but it wasn't our job. Every time we talked we had to go over what bricks I wanted even though he had it written down. The part that didn't go so well, we were doing a relocation of a drainage pipe to the front from the back. We all agreed to where it needed to go to for the water to runoff properly. Our fault for not having it exactly specified in feet on the quote, lesson learned. Day of, we learn that he stated it can't go that far, they can't dig that much and could only go part way. That is exactly what I didn't want for water to drain to my driveway so in the winter it would ice.

Significant fall-off in Diane's support and communication since that has led to a changed perspective. Dogwood tree was delivered and planted but the appropriate gravel was not installed. Did not return calls to correct. Resumed the effort the following year and was able then to get in the schedule. Later found that the Dogwood installed was the wrong coloring leaves, quite important for ascetics of the home that you are trying to achieve. Promised to trim our junipers as a service recovery effort but never did. Upon further trips to the home, their own employee asked who planted the three vertical maples and when I said it was their company he look surprised and asked why we thought they would be good to plant so closely to the house. Multiple surveyors later, it was consensus that the trees should be removed to avoid future concerns and damage to the home with growing roots. Despite bringing this to Diane's attention and asking for returned calls and support, they never came. For a company that charges what they do and appears to stand by their work, I was left out as an afterthought. Hired outside companies to remove the three trees for the rough costs of $800. You would think for investing in the amount of jobs we had that would be a modest cost to try and make right, apparently not. I blame most of the customer service for the review. The jobs are mostly done well, but better hope is done right, as the returned call for support is apparently not a guarantee. It took a lot of energy to remain patient and professional throughout, yet they did not reciprocate that effort in the end to make it right. This went from a positive experience to a negative experience in the span of 2 years. Open to seeing if things can still be repaired but I am done trying to get their support, they would need to pick up the phone.

Then... after watering as advised for a few weeks, making sure to keep the dogs off, we noticed certain areas weren't taking root. Pretty soon, those areas started drying up and turning brown. Contacted again, via Facebook, received a reply that we should be patient, give it some time. Waited a few more weeks, contacted again. Was told that nothing could be done, as it was now December. Should wait till the spring. Waited till March, then a guy came out to take a look. Told us to give it a few more weeks, if not better they would replace with fresh sod, no problem. End of April, still not better. Spoke to same guy on the phone, this time he said he'd prefer NOT to re-do, as they don't really offer a guarantee. Maybe we could work out a deal to Said he'd never seen anything like what had happened with our yard before. Maybe the sod itself was bad? Said he'd discuss with the farmer and he would get back to me... That was 5/9/19, it's now 6/10/19 and still no word, despite my attempt at a follow up on 5/20/19. Don't get me wrong, these things happen, I understand that. But to ignore someone, hoping they'll go away is just not good business.
