After almost 6 months of repeat visits for a few implants and bridge, I've given up and left without having teeth. I have to start all over with a new dentist. The lack of communication, professionalism and respect for my time wasn't worth another wasted minute with Parkside and Dr. Sam - the old owners son. Horrible quality dentistry and lies after lies after lies! I would not recommend them for anything due to everything failing or becoming infected that they touched. They flat out lied to me repeatedly and were "practicing dentistry" on me. I heard several other patients in my many many many visits complaining of Botched work as well. Bone graphs, infections, constant antibiotics, rushed work all at your expense and your wasted time. I wouldn't let them fill a cavity. If you have 6 months to go without any teeth in your mouth and enjoy wasting time at a dentist at least once a week, then call Parkside and get the ride of your life of lies. But if you want teeth to eat and smile with, don't call this place because after shelling out thousands and thousands of dollars and your time you'll still be back where you started. Worst dentist I've been to in 50 years. They have no business doing dental implants and unless you want to be their next practice victim like me, call someone else or look like Frankenstein with swelling, infections, failed posts and posts pointing in different directions that can't be fitted to anything. Dr Rogers is the best dentist ever and always does a great job. Our family have been going to him for well over 30 years. I used to fear dentistry ,Dr. Rogers changed all my anxiety with his pain free skills. My front crowns look natural and people comment/compliment on my teeth . Well as a Dentist office I would give his staff, his building, the location, and everyone's behavior a solid 5 stars...But when I told Dr. Sam I was a diabetic alarm bells should have gone off. The procedure of dentures, isn't an easy one. He should have enquired how high my A1C currently is, as mine is currently at 8.3 Meaning this procedure could very not end well for me. Any open wound is a very good chance of developing cellulitis, a condition that I have in the past averaged 3 days in a hospital recovering from. The human mouth has a very high chance of bacterial infection, aka cellulitis. Before I start this procedure I have to first talk with my Primary Care Physician, cause he and I will have a greater chance down the road talking to each other. This is the best dental office in the area. I have been to a lot of other dentists in Westland and Wayne. The dentists and techs at Parkside listen to your concerns, give you options, but don't push treatment on you. They let you make the decision. I've never felt pressured like I have at other dentists. I first came her 3 years ago with a broken tooth and once Dr. Sam fixed it, it has been fine ever since! I have had old dental work like fillings go bad in the past sometimes after just 1 year but this place does great work and they are very nice and down to earth. I was recommended Dr Rogers by a friend....she has her own teeth so what does she know about false teeth!! Lol. I loved his humor and the staff who works for him are great! So I needed a bottom teeth because after years of wearing partials wore the remaining teeth down, so was looking into implants with a plate. Had remaining teeth pulled and after a very bad infection that took a few months to heal and a few trips back to Dr Rogers all's good to go, now the implants (2) and the lower plate, $6000. Ok now a year or so later I wanted my bottom teeth to show, the teeth were short on the plate...you could not see my teeth when I talked and kind of looked like I had no bottom teeth. Discussed this with Dr and he said ok...new teeth ($2000). Those were fine but now I want new top plate to replace existing plate..ok ($2000), so far ($10.000)Now here's the problem...teeth were not even, could see on one side of my mouth and we're not aligned so they could not be seen on the other side,I also had to use glue to keep them in, I've worn dentures for years and never had to use anything to keep them in place!! I went home a wreck, was not happy but nervous to complain. Finally knew I had to do something about this...It was on my mind 24/7 so I worked up my nerve went back and showed him what my problem with my teeth is the bite was not right so get the drill out, and than how I hated to use gummy glue....he made me a new plate or shall I say threw me a new plate together, ok now the teeth are longer (which I requested) but you can see some of the teeth on the sides were not sitting aligned couldn't see them from straight ahead, and off color. Still need glue!!!! Oh I forgot to mention in between all of this one of my implants came partly out so another of many trips back to him. Fast forward a few weeks I go to the dentist at the corner of my street, Dr Hader on Ford Rd an Brant to see if I can get them fixed so I won't need glue, Dr Rogers said in other words it's the way it's got to be, use glue like everyone does. The new Dr showed me the problems, and I saw for my self they rocked when laying flat, used a few teeth that color didn't match and said if he were to reline they would be more of a problem Dr Hader gave me a decent price for a new beautiful plate that never needed an adjustment, not one...walked out of there with suction fitting straight beautiful teeth!!! Why didn't I go to him in the beginning I ask myself? I wrote Dr Rogers a letter explaining that I had to get new teeth a few weeks after he made me crappy teeth I had to lose sleep, and over having paid all of this money and so many trips back and forth to his office to correct his mistakes and for what??? I asked that maybe he could refund me what he thought was fair...it was written kind of tongue in cheek because I knew it wasn't going to happen, but it was a nice non threatening letter, I just wanted him to know that I had to throw good money after bad because of his" I don't care anymore"attitude with me. I did get my answer via the receptionist it was of course NO, the predicted answer I went back and forth about writing this review, honestly, I liked him he had a great sense of humor, loved the staff but as a dentist.....well, don't say you weren't warned! Dr Roger's is an exceptional dentist with a kind manner and professional demeanor. I have been a patient of his since 2007 before he moved from the smaller practice in Detroit. The office staff and other team members have always been pleasant as is the overall environment. Recently I had an abscess as well as a filling came out. Although Dr Roger's was not available due to the urgent nature I was treated by Dr Seir. He did prescrib antibiotics and took xrays. He recommended I see Dr Roger's upon his return 5 days later. However the day before this appointment I wasn't feeling well and when Amanda called me to confirm appointment next day I informed her I had a sore throat. She suggested I not cone. But then she said I couldn't get another appointment until August. (And it's June now?) Certainly I needed yo be seen sooner than that. I stated wow I would need come even if sick. By no means would I and as a nurse I knew better. Yet the following day I got a call to confirm my appointment. I said I told Amanda yesterday I was sick. It was Amanda calling. She gave me another appointment but came back and said it was taken. Wow what's going on? I called back asked for office manager Edward he promised to see what happened and return my call or speak with Dr Roger's. Mind you I still have a filling out and completed the antibiotics prescribed by them. Still need follow up care. Instead no return call from Edward or anyone. When I called to get whatever appointment I could get. I was informed that Dr Roger's sent me a letter of patient dismissal MID CARE as far as I'm concerned. When asked why. Because I had too many missed or canceled appointment. How many I asked in dismay. 10 since 2019. Really considering I not only had breast cancer but also Covid 19 4 times during this period. UNBELIEVABLE I don't know what Amanda said in there. But clearly I misjudged the professionalism of that crew. So when someone there makes a mistake just cancel the patient. I still read more

I've been to several dentist over the last 2 years, looking for a decent dentist. I'm already nervous around dentist, and I was at my wits end looking for one that I would be comfortable with. Then a co-worker suggested I go to Parkside Dental. This dentist office is amazing! The staff is friendly & accommodating. The dentist themselves are punctual with the appointments, and they are very informative. I wasn't at all uncomfortable during my cleaning. And Dr. Dan did an AMAZING job cleaning my teeth. I'm a stickler for a dentist office being clean, and this dentist office is spotless. They also use the latest in dental equipment. I highly recommend Parkside Dental Team to anyone who is nervous about visiting the dentist. They definitely allayed any anxiety I had about the going to the dentist. read more

Very disappointed in this practice. Came here as I've recently moved and this is close to home. Went there 3 or 4 times and on 2 occasions I mentioned to the hygienist and dentist that I was having an issue with a bridge put in several years ago by my former dentist. Both times I was told to "not worry about it'" and "this sometimes happens with bridges" and just buy a bottle of mouth rinse and I'll be fine. Well 6 months later and a $2000 dental bill, all is not fine! This ended up as a very serious problem and could have been avoided if this place had listened to me. I don't see how this place earned good reviews....clients must have only had cleanings done and nothing serious. Also , pricing is sky high for services....even my insurance agent asked me what do they do there that's so special!!! My dental hygienist had excellent hand dexterity, she accomodated my request for no power tools in my mouth and never nicked my gums, amazing. While the dentists are great, their billing practices are not. Took my kids there and I was not informed until after treatment, that they were out of network and I now owed 80% of the bill. They are supposed to inform patients of this and give them an option to continue. I am a single parent, and now have to deal with their dishonesty. read more

I saw Dr. Dan Cohen for denture repairs. The reception area was well staffed and they were friendly and efficient. There was no one waiting for an appointment very long. The dental technicians were also friendly and worked quickly. Dr. Sam was really helpful in discussing what needed to be done. The repair work had to be done by a lab, and they did an excellent job. Overall it was a good experience and I would reccomend this office to anyone looking for quality dental work and a very professional setting. read more

Six month check up today. Let's face it, the dentist is nobody's favorite place to be. My hygienist Kelly is always friendly and funny. She is still pork free, but hey, nobody's perfect. I ate an entire package of Oreos right before my appointment. That didn't phase her. She got right after it. Always the consummate professional. Make sure they verify your insurance to see whether or not you are out of network. This gets overlooked by their front office staff (even thought it is supposed to be policy) and if you are not within their network you will receive a huge bill you are unable to pay and will be sued by the practice. read more

I love this dentist office. I first came to Parkside for a second opinion after my dentist said she could not save one of my molars. Dr Ricardo Seir told me that absolutely he could save the tooth...and he did. After I switched to Parkside, I realized that my previous dentist had been decades behind in modern dentistry practices. My old dentist used to xray my teeth and then develop pics that were kept on file. Dr Seir will xray your teeth and e-files of the pics are ready just minutes later to view on the TV screen that is right in front of you. My old dentist had posters of kittens glued to the ceiling so that while you were being worked on you could stare at the static pictures and try to imagine better times. Dr Seir has a TV screen that you can watch the news or sports or other programs while work is being done. Dr Seir also can use a small camera to show you exactly what he sees in your mouth. He displays live video images right on the same TV screen. The office setting is beautiful (makes you feel like you are up north in a gorgeous log cabin home). The Staff is always friendly. They have always worked with me to check what my insurances will cover and have even provided guidance as to the best time to get certain procedures done so as to minimize the amount of out-of-pocket expenses. I see the negative comments from Sherry R. and A.B. were written on the same day, with identical comments about "out of network" (probably by the same person) and can only say that most people know enough to ask about coverage if they don't have standard insurance plan. I have Delta Dental and it is absolutely accepted. I also just referred my mother (84) to this office and she thought they were great. read more
