It only took one week the first summer and we were so pleased we signed up for a second week. During the summer of 2020, I respected that a credit could be used at a later time and was thankful that I could send my son to camp at the lake for a week during the summer given the fact everyone has to work around many rules and regulations due to covid. The location was not as convenient as Secaucus but the kids loved it. Currently, both of my children (now 7 and 3) are attending Miss Yvonne's spring break camp in Hoboken. In just 4 days, my 3 year old who would previously "sink" in the water (his words), is now swimming without a floatie! We will continue with Miss Yvonne's group lessons for him afterwards. Overall, the kids are having a blast this week--not only with swimming but jump rope, soccer, arts & crafts and science too! If you would like your child to learn how to swim, I highly recommend Miss Yvonne's swim school. If you are looking for a great camp with lots of swim instruction and fun --convenient to anyone in JC and Hoboken -- try the camp! It is worth the cost!

I am also a special instructor for a few universities where I teach a course on Data Science and technology. Now for my review on more the facility and educational offering... If I had a child that was resonating stronger towards the sciences, math, technology, or arts - there would be no doubt to have my child take classes here. The facility is using state of the art and in some cases groundbreaking technology. 3D printing, Macs, Garage Band, Minecraft, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Robotics and they also have courses that teach computer and data languages like Python and Java. However, the METHOD that is used (as I took a bit of courses myself next to a 5 year old) is using building blocks and visual methods to showcase not just how something works but WHY it works. The instructors are all HS and College students that seem to be able to interact better with younger kids better than most adults. The kids were inquisitive and the instructors didn't seem to mind all the questions and can explain using items kids already know (like Legos) and adding in cooler other features like batteries to turn their Legos into robots. I wish Zaniac would start to consider some of these course for adults as well. The skills the kids are learning are great foundation courses and are skills that are marketable today. The location is also pretty convenient to the PATH and other businesses nearby. Bottom Line: This is a great offering for children and a way to keep them learning and curious but also building valuable skills.

Some small fixes like one or two less programs, a schedule sent to parents in advance(not after day 1) and email summaries of the day or week would go a long way. While the local private schools don't have the same technical focused camps, the attention and care to these basic details are fully covered. While your kids may enjoy playing Minecraft, not clear they learn much.

I'm a Creative Coordinator, Event Planner and CONTROL Freak! I purchased the V.I.P Package (for up to 10 kids) hoping I could step back a bit and let the awesome and sweet, Rene and her team do their B.C. magic. However, occasionally I would shoot them idea blasts on what I wanted. About 2 weeks before the event, I went full steam into contacting them again, I received the regular reminder phone call that Tuesday to re-review the event plan. I dropped off the self-made banner a couple days prior to the event so that they could have it prior to the party for setup. I created and brought my own gift bags that consisted of the L.O.L Surprise theme, in addition the kids received gift bags that come with the Bambino Chef VIP pkg, which you can choose between a mixing spoon, apron/hat OR bubbles, stickers, etc (usually items you can find at Party City). On Party Day, we arrived and were greeted by the wonderful Bambino Chef team, seeing how it was Cinco De Mayo and the team prefers the parents relax, I brought some Sangria and Guac and we parents hobnobbed while the kids did their thing. Naturally, taking tons of breaks to snap pics LOL My group initially being 10 went down to 8; we had some late arrivals, but the team was good at starting preparation for those kids who came late. Everyone still ate. Not only the Rigatoni they prepared but also the DOMINO PIZZA. Thankfully, I did not have to worry about having a cake made, because the VIP pkg does include cupcake decorating, so once the kids finished their masterpiece cupcakes we sang Happy Birthday and everyone indulged. The venue layout is awesome for children, the kids had enough space to run around and be merry. The final and most exciting touch in my opinion is the Champagne Pop! Struggled a little bit to twist that bottle, but finally got it to twist and the Birthday Girl and her friends received a beautiful Happy Ending. My only reservation for not going full on 5 stars was I didn't see my vision come to light with some of the ideas I emailed to them. There isn't one person to communicate this part with. Also, there is NO ONSITE PARKING; metered parking which you have to feed every 20 minutes. This part did make it a bit of a hassle for my guests.

From the planning through execution they demonstrated professionalism with a personal touch. Everything was meticulously planned. I hardly had to do anything - just got my family, guests, and some adult beverages. The kids had an amazing time. The parents could relax, merry, and also, engage with their kids to make pretzels. Everyone praised what they witnessed from start to finish. Many said this was their best kid's birthday party in recent times. What more can I ask as a parent! Oh and did I say how the birthday cake vanished in minutes (it was soooo yummy). I thank Rene and her TEAM of amazing party planners and chefs for making the event memorable for us and our guests. We will back soon for the cooking classes.

From the first weeks, the teachers made a genuine effort to support his adjustment, keeping us , thoroughly informed and ensuring he felt secure and always included. That level of communication and Genuine care made a big difference for our family. Their classroom environment is very structured, organized, and welcoming. It is a setup, where the students, are not overly stimulated and they keep it simple, but, yet, very relaxed and productive! Smart Starts Academy has a curriculum , in which, encourages learning through, play while building important social and academic skills. Over time, we noticed improvements in his confidence, language skills, and enthusiasm for learning, which speaks volumes about the quality of instruction and Attentiveness to each student in their classroom! Emotions that each child may carry ,throughout their day, was Never ignored , but rather, very respected and handled with Extreme care and Genuine Understanding! The staff is beyond, professional, attentive, and Deeply committed to each child's development and learning journey! This preschool sets a HIGH standard for early education, and we would confidently recommend it to any family seeking a program that combines strong academics with Genuine care. Furthermore, the fact that, the students are to wear a uniform, distinctively separates, from other schools, especially because, the students are grasping the idea that, "we are going to school" and it clearly shows the difference between all other schools in the area. I absolutely RECOMMEND Smart Starts Academy and it will Not disappoint! The Smart Start Academy is a Great School for each child's first major steps in Learning and socially engaging in Healthy and Sustainable Growth and Development!

There is a great curriculum including an introduction to Spanish language skills & preschool preparation (tracing letters, using glue sticks & scissors, etc) . It's truly like a school rather than just a daycare facility. She loves her teachers Mrs Ruth & Miss Justine :) 3) The tech used by the facility is great. Primarily FFKK caters to the kids, teaching them karate and having summer programs, after-school programs, plus some classes where the parents and kids train together. But four days a week at 7:30pm the adults attend kickboxing/muy thai classes for an hour. They also sell intro gloves, leg gear, head gear and shirts, hoodies and a duffel to put it all in. They strictly prefer that all wear the shirts when they train. The black-belt trainer, Jerry is a great guy, patient, kind, able to train all levels at once. He makes sure your form is good, makes sure folks don't get hurt, and is very flexible with your decision to spar when you get to a certain level. There are sessions just for testing, and folks who perform what they've learned get a belt. Another black-belt trainer there, X, is a good guy too. He co-trains with Jerry and always puts an effort in and boosts up folk's confidence when they feel they aren't quite getting the drills. He challenges folks without pushing too hard beyond the scope of what they are capable of, and is genuinely respectful of everyone at all levels. Part of what keeps me going back is training with them, and actually learning to kickbox, not just do HIIT training for a Hot Gurl Summer. They respect the sport, and they help you to enjoy training and learning. I wasn't good at holding mitts or pads when I'm paired up, because I never had to in boxing. When we do drills we pair up and learn from each other. Folks learn how a punch or kick feels so they know at what speed or force to do it themselves. Yet no one walks out of there looking to fight anyone. They just feel they've learned enough to protect themselves and avoid combat confrontation. And they make new friends. The place is clean, bright, organized, not always cool, but you're gonna sweat hard anyway, so ventilation and a decent temperature is good enough. The heavy bags are quality, the pads well kept, and there are snacks and beverages should you need em. Seating at the front is great for anyone having to wait for you, or to put your gear or shoes, although they do have cubbies for that too. There always seems to be package deal pricing, and the prices are reasonable. Check em out and then go kick something.

I personally attend the morning sessions as I have to work during the evening ones. After each class, I leave feeling pump and ready to face the day. I have been recommending this place to everyone, and if not for you, then I recommend your kids doing karate here. This is simply a place you need in your life and I hope that everyone gets to experience it at some point in their lives.
