My reviews continue to be removed. My eldest child had his wisdom teeth extracted by Dr Bertagna... a part of his teeth was left intact. It created the need, for further surgery, years later. I was told this, was painful. Dr Bertagna could have been sued for this, but was not. I had other problems with this office. Dr Bertagna was told to be angry with me, when I arrived to have work done on my teeth. Dr Bertagna shaved down a front tooth, because it had a chip on it- without discussion. It created a crooked smile, which I felt bad about. "Happy smiles", are NOT crooked. Dr Bertagna received over two decades of FREE computer help, from his disabled friend, who can hardly walk, but could sit in front of a computer. SO- "WHY didn't he exchange physical labor for FREE computer help?" Yard work: painting: shoveling snow: running errands: housework: etc. PRETTY PLEASE? That help would have been SO GREAT! AND- if he had exchanged help-for help- he would have known me, and my family. I was working full-time, raising five children, (one child, born with a birth defect-requiring surgeries) ; and living with a disabled man. It would have been GREAT to have HELP! You didn't know computers; your friend, couldn't walk. That would have been a good solution! Once Dr Bertagna accused me of something I didn't do- whilst drilling my teeth. Imagine being accused, of something, that you didn't do, by someone-drilling your teeth? Holding, a weapon in your mouth, whilst, making an accusation. Once, Dr Bertagna- left a root exposed in my mouth, for 2 weeks. Painful! I arrived to have the exposed root fixed- and Dr Bertagna ran out -to lecture me about the CHEAPEST van on the market! It was the cheapest van being sold- high mileage:9-Y-O vehicle: no AC: bad brakes: broken door- wouldn't open: and had many OTHER problems. I drove 5 kids in it for 9 years: music lessons, sports...NAME IT! 5 kids, and work too! Dr Bert. had NOT SEEN that van in 9 YEARS! He had NEVER seen my home. It's common for abusive people to isolate the person they have targeted to be the SCAPEGOAT. Look it up. I had never discussed that van, with Dave. Yet- suddenly, he felt that the problems with the high mileage 'cheapest' van- made me "SELFISH"? What? I just wanted my teeth fixed-stop the pain you caused on my last visit. Perhaps, if this office had paid for two decades of FREE computer help, I'd have been driving my children around in a fancy, nice vehicle, those two decades? PLEASE Pay for your computer help. Only 1 of my 5, adult children has a college degree, and the youngest is still in school. Family FIRST. I wanted to run away- but I had to get the exposed root Dr B gave me- fixed. It was painful. I worked full-time: raising five children: one with a birth defect- and living with a handicapped man. I had a busy schedule. I worked for decades on the mag Mile... there was not ONE MOMENT- when someone asked, or told me to lecture their spouse, on their behalf. I've met hundreds of ADULTS. It's ABUSE to do that. Look up: "Triangulation: Flying Monkeys/Enablers", if you feel that abusing someone in exchange for free computer work- is A-OK. Seems like a no-brainer. I dealt with it often- those who got free computer work, were told to lecture to lecture me. It's called: "Pattern recognition." I sure could have used the help with the extra work I did to make up for your friend's disabled abilities, and big family. It's not MY fault that X was drinking beer, (at 3:30) 1/2 AN HOUR BEFORE, climbing into the cockpit of an airplane, to fly it. FAA regulations: NO ALCOHOL consumption, for 8 hours before flying a plane. Unfortunately- my father (X's flight instructor) DIED in that crash. You didn't know that. You don't know ANYTHING! You made deals for FREE WORK. PS: For three of the years that you were getting that great- FREE computer work... my FAMILY did not have an oven. It broke, and we were told to buy a new one. Eventually I bought a toaster oven (my income), and I was, lectured, and bullied for that. I was told that we "didn't DESERVE AN OVEN."How dare I" buy a toaster oven- LMAO! We didn't DESERVE anything. After 3 years of arguing about "Our FAMILY NEEDS an oven", we FINALLY got a new oven. We were told that we needed to be "better people, to DESERVE HAVING AN OVEN." Meanwhile- you and other 'Flying Monkeys'- were getting FREE computer work. The irony. My argument, was; "Even people who live in subsidized housing, on welfare- have ovens." I was told that I was wrong. LMAO That's called "Gaslighting". DO NOT drag your patients personal lives into your work- ESPECIALLY if you do not know ANYTHING ABOUT THEM. They will complain about it here. Oh, and FAMILY FIRST. The truth only hurts, people who depend on lies to thrive, and survive. Sound familiar? read more

The staff is great. If you are looking for a dentist that will be gentle while working on your mouth and at the same time provide excellent service. This is the place. They even offer you a head pillow,blanket,or music of your choice during your visit. After the finish of your service they always give you a complimentary water. Dr. Bertagna and his staff are wonderful people who really care about their patients. They are great listeners and focused on meeting and exceeding your needs. I feel that some offices I have come across are not patient focused but money focused. This is not the case with this team, they listen to your concerns, and come up with a plan that works best for you. I am very happy that I have stumbled upon their office. I'm surprised and excited to be the first Yelp review of Parkview Dental! ****FYI if you don't want to read further, one note- payments always subject to change and not discussed clearly upfront. Wishy washy front desk ladies make it seem ok.... Dr. Bertagna did a great job fixing a chipped front tooth I had after falling off a roof and then knowing full well that the tooth next to it was loose, prescribed a night guard to reduce bruxism which focused the pressure of the jaw on the front teeth. *Very logical* He insisted that it wouldn't damage my loose left front tooth given the fact that he made it to distribute the force on all four front teeth, instead of just the two front teeth. In hindsight, I was not only his guinea pig but in two days the left front tooth suffered trauma and then required a root canal. Actually the root canal was not successful the first time, became infected and required a second procedure. It was several retainers later that I got what I INSISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE I needed. A simple thick plastic retainer, no new dental experiment night guard, just something to secure the loose tooth after a traumatic facial injury. ***Additionally I was guilted and blamed for the retainer failures by Dr. Bertagna himself and Diane, a receptionist scheduler.*** Besides the infection caused by the pressure impacting night guard, I now have significant gum loss that's irreparable on my front tooth. This has caused a noticeable cosmetic difference in my smile, and the dentist I'm seeing now is surprised that the tooth is still in place. Initially the right front tooth had a hairline crack in it, but after being prescribed the anti-bruxism night guard, now the left front tooth, with the root canal is also cracked. I have researched these TMJ devices online and found many cases of them cracking teeth. I'd advise research if your dentist prescribes a TMJ device. It's designed to focus the total pressure of the jaw on the two front teeth. Get it? Do I need to do the rocket scientist analogy on this? During the course of time I was a patient of Dr. Bertagna I noticed fluctuations in his performance and a weird sense of him putting his front desk support staff in the role of negotiations regarding payment (always subject to change and not stated upfront). Dr. Bertagna told me this : "I will give you free night guards for the rest of your life." In an emotionally activated state, after we resolved the issue. (Basically when he did what I asked of him initially) Free night guards for life is an impulsive statement, one he put his front desk staff in my way to take back on his offer. He often spends an inordinate amount of time chatting and discussing his personal life or ramblings about dentistry to his clients, at least with me, but I also assume others. This causes unnecessary wait times, and as stated before his ups and downs lead to a lack of consistent performance. It was in 2011 I first began visiting Parkview Dental, so I speak from a history with them. read more

My wifely and I have been under Dr Bertagna's care since he opened the office in the late 90s. He is a great doctor, makes you feel at ease, never rushes you, explains what the issue(s) is and his recommendation for treatment and, most importantly, he is an empathetic and kind person. His rates are very reasonable and offers a care plan to spread the cost over months interest free if it is paid off per the plan's terms. Dr. Bertagna by far is one of the best I have ever met. He noticed things that other dentists have never noticed( I have been to many). He LITERALLY saved my teeth! This place has been the worse !! First they don't let you know ahead of time if you are in their network, "they do that with all the patients " then I got charge over $2000 on a cavity work done on my son, by the way that was a horrible job !! Worse place ever never going back it doesn't matter if it's a 3 min walking distance from my house!!! read more
