The apartments themselves are nice and the community is well kept. One of the best things here is the maintenance team. They've always been on point whenever something needs to be fixed, and requests are handled quickly and professionally. It's definitely one of the better maintenance experiences I've had compared to other apartments in the area. As far as noise goes, I would say it's about the same as most other apartment communities around West Des Moines. Nothing out of the ordinary compared to other places I've lived nearby. Overall, if you're looking for a solid apartment in the Jordan Creek area, Strathmore is definitely worth checking out.

I'm writing this review at 12AM after my neighbors woke me up with their screaming, as it is a…read moreregular occurrence. The walls and floors are so thin, you can hear normal talking. However, when your neighbors have the loudest conversation/phone call possible in the middle of the night, you can hear every single word. Between that and loud tvs and dogs barking for hours at a time, you will get the absolute worst sleep of your life in this apartment. Reviews that say this place is quiet are flat out lying. The building quality is unbelievably cheap. Loud noise literally shakes the walls and floor. I've lived in many apartments for over 15 years across a few states and have experienced nothing this bad. I've endured this nonsense for 12 of 15 months of my lease and I can't wait to move out. I've never been able to walk behind my building during my stay. It has consistently been covered with dog feces. Recently, more feces has moved to the front of the building. Gross. Once you start complaining, they will play phone tag or just ignore you. This place went from about 4.5/5 to 3/5 in the year that I have lived here.

Rumely Lofts was a great place to live for 3 years! It's…read morelocation is 2nd to none! Right downtown, close to lots of entertainment, food options, and bars! Yep it is right on the train track so, the windows in your apartment are going to shake every time the train goes by, but it's also kinda fun! I lived on the 2nd floor facing north! We have huge windows and tall ceilings! But I have also been in other apartments and the windows were not as big as ours! We also had a bank vault door as one of our bathroom doors! We had a corner, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom! One of the major bummers of Rumely was our Washer and Dryer were always acting up and needed work all the time, which was a huge bummer! Usually they gave us a key to another apartment so we could do laundry, but it still stunk! I did love how they have a community room you could rent for free! We used it multiple times for parties, and once even rented it just to watch a show on Cable since that was something we did not have! The work out room has a few treadmills, free weights and a tv with cable! Cement floors, modern layout, and the staff was always pretty nice! One bummer is there is not set parking owned by the building for tenants so that stinks but you can get by usually paying a private place a monthly fee for under 50 bucks but walking groceries to your building kinda sucks! But all in all this was a great place to live and we got most of our deposit back even though I sprayed the wall with fake blood once for a music video!
