What was even more frustrating was that my prepaid order was apparently canceled without my knowledge or consent. I was not properly informed about the cancellation, and the way the situation was handled made the experience even worse. I understand that issues can happen with orders, but I expect customers to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, especially when there is a problem with an order that has already been placed. All I was trying to do was make small talk and possibly establish a cordial relationship with the guy because we've seen each other before. But he went on and on about how I was being a dick and what I said was something that completely pissed him off. I'm not entirely sure what I said that would elicit such a negative response, but even if he was irked by it, there were dozens of better ways to handle the situation. Perhaps politely saying it's policy to card everybody that looks under 35 or just admitting he doesn't remember me. I wouldn't have been offended. But I can safely say I will no longer be returning and will be taking the extra 2 minutes to walk across the street to CP Liquors to make my purchases from now on. Maybe the guy was having a bad day, but you honestly can't talk to customers like that. It's unacceptable and highly unprofessional. I know it's a college town but come on. If you expect to run a well respected establishment, you have to treat your customers with respect. No matter who they are.
