Where can you go to school where everyone knows you, and your family, and cares, and supports you in the parenting quest you have embarked on? The teachers actively seek to know your child and seek ways to teach them effectively. This school is not in a rut, like so many. Teachers are happy here, as are the administration. There are some sacrifices, like no transportation or hot lunches. There are a some after school activities. All and all, 5 stars. I trust them with my family, and it has been well deserved.

However, the staff does a great job utilizing the resources they have to provide a very safe and sufficient learning environment. The staff, from the principal to the teachers to the lunch staff, are all amazing. They put the children's best interests ahead of everything else. The PTSA is very active and sponsor many fun events for the entire family. The curriculum is very sufficient and the GT program allows students to excel. My daughter only has 15 kids in her class so the attention she receives is far better than many other schools (even in our district). Upgraded to 5 stars. He was struggling in the public school setting and had become resentful of what he referred to as an "apathetic" environment. Struggling with ADHD, he found it difficult, almost impossible, to learn under the public school curriculum. After almost 6 weeks at Midcities Montessori, he has become noticeably happier and his depression has all but disappeared. He has begun to enjoy learning again. The smaller teacher to student ratio has allowed his teacher to be more hands on with him. Not only encouraging him to work on his focus, but providing a safe and positive learning environment. Kim, the owner, has worked with us every step of the way to make sure the transfer went smoothly. She genuinely cares about every student's progress and is a complete gem. My husband and I have been extremely pleased with their progress and feel that anyone who has a child struggling or just wanting to get ahead would be well advised to consider the program. Their curriculum and teaching style has been effective with our children. The only thing I wished they offered was transportation after school for working moms/dads that are pressed to get them there. Carl is easily accessible and always eager to discuss your child's progress. They understand that every child learns differently and are able to cater to each kiddos needs. We cannot always get back to pick them up in one hour each time and they are willing to let our kids quietly read of do other homework until we are able to get them. First off, the front office ladies are extremely rude, especially to students. I've seen then…read morefirsthand give my daughter attitude but then be completely nice to me and other parents. They do not know how to treat children and should never be involved in education. Secondly, in the previous school year my children told me about a bug infestation that lasted about three weeks. Th small roaches would surround lockers and even bathrooms. Additionally, large roaches would crawl out of water fountains that students often drank out of. Everything is unsanitary and they do not care about student safety and health. The lunch is really bad as well. I've heard cases of spoiled milk, apples that are green inside, and slightly raw meat. Although packed lunch can solve this, not everyone can afford packed lunches and this school should know to properly nourish students. The school has no preparation for sports and is only focused on STEM, which isn't bad but students do not get enough movement after grade ninth. The principal is rude and took off the senior ceiling tile portraits after calling them ugly, but labeled them as "flammable". He also does not know how to speak to children and has a nasty attitude. Other Harmony schools are not like this, only this one that is too small and horrible.
