This is the high school I attended. I graduated very highly here in 1999…read more The school is a nice place. Nice grounds, nice equipment, nice building. I thought the teachers were very good. The problem was and remains the administration in Keller, and the school board. As happens way too often in Texas, the religious right controls this place. It is sad that we had to deal with the occasional anti-science teacher, or that kids would be prevented from attending graduation because of a single joint in their car. Also, at least one play has been canceled because of "inappropriate" subject matter. Also, when I was on the HS newspaper staff, the administration routinely censored out very harmless article or cartoons. Bleh.

They even helped my little girl get over her fear of waring glasses. My daughter was so shy an nervous about having to were glasses to school this year an would hide them in her bag pack. Well her teacher Mrs. Gonzales had a wonderful solution. She began wereing her glasses instead of contacts for a couple weeks. She even got onother teacher to do the same thing.This helped my baby understand that she was not alone an lots of people wear glasses. My daughter proudly wares them now with no shame. I am so grestful to the staff here. The tutoring they offer has been so beneficial to my other daughter an i have seen her improve greatley. I have also been to several events an fieldtrips that are so much fun an full of smiles. Keep up the good work it makes all the difference. I wish i would of got this kind of help an incougment when i was younger. We need more schools an teachers like this.

Our experience with upper school has been a mix of good & bad. There was very little bullying…read more Everyone has their own cliques but keep to themselves. Parent groups try to make families feel welcome. My biggest complaint is their program for kids with learning issues. There is an additional $4500 charge for a learning program, which is a testing center & the same study hall everyone else gets for free. There are so many kids in that class that need help, it is difficult to get assistance. There is little parent contact when there are academic issues. There are O accommodations, which we found out the day before school started. It is egregious to allow anyone in for $4500 and then leave them to sink or swim. As a private school with a "dedicated program" they have an opportunity to help kids with learning issues, but we were made to feel like a bother. They could really make a difference if they would put some additional measures in place & hire teachers that cared.

The Keller Center for Advanced Learning is some good folks doing good things for the community…read more They are helping to prepare students for life after school and/or to be ready for college as well. There are a variety of disciplines they offer here that include automotive repair, health care, legal professions, and more. The school staff I've seen so far is rude to me and the other students. Thankfully I don't have to…read morego to this school much longer, but today I got yelled at by a teacher who I won't name for something so small! It's really dumb and stupid for how they treat us. Even parents too! It seems like they have no respect for others besides the other staff. For any parents seeing this, I don't recommend the place if you want your kid's mental state to be good.
