I am notoriously hard on donut shops. It's like when someone says "don't judge a book by it's cover." We all do, the whole graphic design industry exists because we do, and DONUT SHOPS ARE NO EXCEPTION. So any time I walk into an exceptionally well branded donut shop [or really, any exceptionally well branded vendor who sells ONE thing] I put on my suspicion goggles, which happen to look startlingly similar to my daily New Englander goggles, and have a guarded and aloof approach to said donuts... Parlor is a quintessential example of an exceptional well branded donut shop. Once we get the dreadful fact staring us in the eyes out of the way, that is. That dreadful fact is that they only sell Raised Donuts, and in fact none have a donut hole, and Raised donuts are NOT technically a donut - they are a pastry. A delicious one, mind you. But not a donut. Give me that old fashioned, cake-style donut. That is a donut. Dreadful facts out of the way, Parlor was nice, and probably even a bit above its class. Generally "artisan" donut shops go all out on crazy colors, flavors, and sizes and shapes. Parlor stayed in its lane and presented a tidy storefront and friendly staff. One donut wowed me; a few were good; and two were below average. A reminder I am very hard on donuts, you'd probably like all of these, you occasional-donut-eating-plebe. Lavender 5/5 Balanced flavor, which I have never experienced before with this flavor; I've always been left with either a lot of dough and a twinge of lavender, or a ton of lavender and no grounding flavor. This was really delicious and struck the balance, giving an above average mouth-feel and just the right density to encourage that lavender taste to really zero in on your tastebuds. Bravo, you've cracked the code to the Lavender donut. I would come back for six of these and not even look at any others. Sandy Beach 5/5 Control doughnut, special case of actual donut quality provided here. The quality of the dough itself is good, a little vanilla and cinnamon sugar to top things off. Double Chocolate 4/5 Chocolate quality was high. Churro 3/5 Decent, but didn't speak to me in any way. Just felt like a mouthful of generic pastry. French Toast 2/5 Pure acidic sugar, not good at all; not saying they didn't nail the accuracy in terms of flavor, just more why would you make a donut that tastes like this? Blueberry 2/5 Blueberry flavoring, fake, blueberry, hard to pull off. Only redeeming factor is the generic donut taste. Blueberry donuts should be regelated to seasonal delicacies when one can actually get good blueberries because the fake blueberry flavors/off season blueberries just do not cut it. Definitely stop in, get six, try them all out with a couple friends. read more

This particular location has been open 5 months. Its hours are Sun thru Wed from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, & Thurs thru Sat from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Up to 20 donut varieties are made in small batches daily. According to the company's website, "We are a craft donut & coffee shop offering an array of unique bakery items, including our original layered donuts; vegan, gluten-friendly, & keto-friendly products; artisan products; & speciality coffees." The shoppe was clean & bright. Staff was friendly. There are six interior tables along w/ orange velvet chairs for waiting patrons. There are four metal outside tables. As I entered, one was occupied by a friendly homeless gentleman. Four Specialty Lattes are made here, as well as 12 oz & 16 oz House Roasted Coffee, four Cold Brews, & seven Teas (Hot or Iced). The glass & wood donut cases are well-marked. The donuts are thick, dense, & layered @ $2.95 each. By the aestetically desirable looks of each, I had anticipated the feather-light Nashville 'Five Daughters Bakery'-style layered creations; however, these did not have the thin, delicate multiple layers we wanted. The company describes its donuts as crispy on the outside, & light and fluffy on the inside; we were underwhelmed w/ the reality of what we sampled. There was no light & fluffy-- each was chewy & sat very heavy in our stomachs. Did they taste good? YES. The Bourbon Caramel variety followed by the Coconut Cream Filled were our favorites. The others we tried (SEE PICS): Maple Bacon, Maple Pecan, Raspberry Filled, & Raspberry Pistacio. The Vanilla Glaze w/ Cinnamon Sugar was our least favorite; it lacked flavor. Neither of us could finish even one donut or sample all 7, so plan your ordering well or you, too, will be left w/ many. The keto-friendly, gluten-friendly, & vegan varieties are not in the glass cases, but they are readily available upon request. Mini & Dog donuts are also available. There is steet parallel parking. As a person who does not like donuts ... I LOVE this place. I have never found a donut that I have to try again, except for Parlor! The service is always friendly and the donuts are always FRESH. I recommend keeping it simple when it comes to which one to order - the cinnamon sugar or coconut mini is the way to go. My boyfriends mother and I visited the shop for the first time this morning. I have been so eager to give this place a try since this new location was announced. We arrived around 11am and this place was popping, mind you it was a beautiful Saturday morning so I can't say I was surprised. We decided to get three donuts to split - Turtle Cheesecake, Raspberry Pistachio, and Sandy Beach. The raspberry pistachio was my favorite, but i will say i am biased to anything pistachio. The turtle cheesecake was like a dessert, topped with a thick layer of cheesecake cream, caramel, chocolate deliciousness. Highly recommend if you have a sweet tooth. The Sandy Beach was also delicious, I would get them all again. We both got drinks as well. She went with a classic vanilla latte, which she loved! I had a matcha. I loved that they had alternative milk options and a variety of flavor syrups, like lavendar and mayan mocha. I did my matcha ice with coconut milk and vanilla and wow, *chefs kiss*. I will definitely be returning to try more of their donut flavors and to get my matcha fixes. This is hands down one of the best spots in Pensacola for coffee and donuts. The quality of their drinks and pastries is exceptional--truly top-tier. After a long night shift, I was half-delirious and accidentally spilled my entire iced coffee on the floor. Despite the mess, the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Visited from Hawaii and my uncle took us here to try it out. Once you get inside, it feels like a cafe where people can study or read a book. This place is probably one of the best croissant donuts I've ever had. We ordered a dozen and the size of each doughnuts were huge, it lasted us about 3 days to finish it haha! The flavors on the other hand all looked so delicious, but my favorite had to be the maple bacon and orange dreamsicle. I was about to bring some home to Hawaii with me but, maybe next time? I think it's the best donuts I've tried and I've tried too many places, unfortunately for my waist lol. But I tasted like it's baked and not fried as it's not greasy and it's not too sweet like Krispy Kreme which I prefer. Their donuts tastes really flaky and soft. They do offer keto and gf donuts but they're in mini sizes unlike the regular donuts in large sizes. I love their minis with the raspberry filled those are loved. I've been here many many times and have yet to see if they'll offer coconut flake styles or chocolate filled ones or dark chocolate that'll be heavenly paired. I like the fort Walton beach location over the Destin location didn't seem to taste as good. Spent almost $15 on four donuts that were just fried dough with some cop-out glazes. The churro donut was the worst in terms of the thought that went behind it. Mind you, I'm Hispanic and I know my freakin churros, which is why I was most excited for this one. They literally mixed cinnamon with powdered sugar and that was the topping with a dip of chocolate. It didn't taste like a churro... a churro is NOT just cinnamon and chocolate. There was no glaze on it and ate ridiculously dry. Imagine eating sawdust. They did not have it in the case and so they prepared it for me so here's a tip: if you can't see your donut probably best not to get it because you don't know what you're getting unless you've already had it before. Also, when they said they could it make for me fresh I thought they were actually frying the donuts (like they do at Duck Donuts, the best donuts in the world), but he just meant throw glaze on it. Ten the strawberry shortcake, which was recommended by a worker, was just as lame. The strawberry glaze was so thin that you could barely taste it. I was left with just dough in my mouth. The pumpkin chai cheesecake glaze was tasty and the blueberry glaze was ok. I won't ever be spending my money here again. read more

I have never actually stepped foot inside of this wonderful establishment but I have had the privilege of consuming the God sent goodness they call doughnuts. These pastries are better than any doughnut I've ever tasted, and unique too! A cross between a flakey pastry and doughy dense baked good that will blow the mind of your taste buds every bite (take it a step farther and wash these down with a cold glass of whole milk).
