The ladies are super professional and the shop is super clean and gorgeous. Valerie is my girl and she is so nice and funny. She does my Brazilian and she does it so quickly and painless. Went to a Valerie for an eyebrow and upper lip wax. WOW. Shes amazing so sweet and friendly...very professional and got to know a little about me and my preference for the brows etc. Pricing is about usual as everywhere else you'd go and WORTH EVERY PENNY. It had been over 2 years since I last waxed or threaded my brows and I was so scared. Past experience meant wax=pain. Not here i felt a tiny tingle of pain of course I'm waxing my face LOL but it wasn't bad at all. Usually my eyes swell up with tears and they're hard to open after from pain. Here not even a tear or any pain really at all. I was SHOCKED. I will FOR SURE be returning and not just for special occasions I will make this my regular treat to self now since it doesn't feel like torture LOL. I loved the experience at Parlor Wax. I was able to call and leave a voice mail in evening of day they were closed and within 12 hours or less I was called back to make appointment. IMPRESSIVE!!!! Actually was able to get same day appointment so WOW TO THAT LUCK!! Interior of building has a very chic and elegant feel but still homey and comfortable. Everything was clean and organized and so nice im highly impressed and...im honestly pretty picky LOL. As I walked in Valerie greeted me within seconds and I was taken back right away had new customer form and all services completed..paid for and in my car in less than 30 min. Receptionist afterwards who took payment was sweet and friendly as well. Not sure if I said prior but pricing is very fair especially for the service you receive it's well worth the price. Sure some back of the nail salon girl with no license may be cheaper...lol but you get what you pay for... this was not at all too expensive AT ALL. I went to Parlor Wax 2 weeks ago with my sister during my hour lunch. I wasn't scheduled for an appointment, I had just went in to accompany my sister but wasn't able to be in the room with her. So since I needed a face wax anyway, I asked if anyone was available to do it for me and Jayme was available so I went ahead and got it done with her. I was very pleased with the way each of the girls welcomed us and treated us with respect, all very nice. But in regards to the face wax that I got done by Jayme, it was terrible!!!! First of all, she took FOREVER!! 45+ minutes in my opinion is way too long. I've been to several other wax ladies and they take half the time and still get the job done great. I now have a regular girl but she wasn't available at the time so I gave this place a shot with Jayme. Anyway, second of all, everyone knows inside lighting is very different than outside lighting. So when she was done, it looked ok, i noticed some hairs left behind but thought to myself I could just pluck them out because it was only very few short hairs. Plus I had to get back to work asap so I paid and left... and later in the day I got a mirror and went outside to look at my face... and LORD ALMIGHTY... I could not believe my eyes... sooooooooo many hairs left behind... its as if someone had just cut all my hair in half so all over my face you could see the hair sticking out from the root. By the second day, I could see it already growing back and if I rubbed my hand through my face I could feel all the hair! Not even makeup covered it up. I don't mind giving this place another shot if I'm ever in need and my regular isn't available, but not with Jayme. Sorry!! read more

The staff was super duper nice! The ladies here are extremely friendly. Unfortunately I was disappointed that after paying $40 for a Brazilian wax, I went home to discover there was still hair down there. I know the waxer went over it with tweezers after and should have noticed. I hate to think that I have to find another place to get the services I need. I've gotten many Brazilian waxes, my eyebrow by Holly today for the first time and she was totally cool and did the best job I've ever had done on my brows and lip done here. You can totally relax and be comfortable in your own skin. Do keep in mind that if you are going during lunch or dinner hours to go with at least 15-20 minutes extra time to find a parking spot because it is downtown and it can take a while to find a free parking spot. I have been going to Parlor wax co. since they opened because I followed Jackie from her previous location. I have been getting my Brazilian waxes done with her for years now and I wouldn't trust anyone else! She makes me feel so comfortable and I have a number of friends who go to her as well. Every time someone asks me where I go I let them know to go to Jackie, she even gives you her personal number to reach her at any time so you don't always have to call the store, personally I prefer to communicate with her since I always have. The salon it's self is really nice, it has a vintage kick to it, it's really clean, and the receptionist is always welcoming. Their prices are convenient, so is the location (located downtown), and they offer a lot more than just Brazilian waxes, you can get any wax service needed there. Again, I have no complaints, I will continue to see Jackie and refer all of my friends and family to her, I'm sure the other women there are just as great as she is, I just prefer to stay with Jackie since I have seen her for so many years now, my schedule gets a little hectic sometimes and she always works with me, I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

Oh my GOODNESS this place is a lifesaver. The prices are affordable but the experience is beyond what you pay. It was so difficult for me to find an affordable and reliable spot to continue waxing (had to stop because the other place i was at got pricey). I have had the pleasure of meeting most of the ladies here, and they all go above and beyond to make sure your experience is superb. I even started to have less problems with ingrowns, in that, i dont get them anymore! Every esthetician was quick, VERY efficient, and oh so very kind and down to earth.
