I was in town visiting my parents and I decided to pamper myself a bit before I run the SF marathon. So I booked a Brazilian wax and massage with Le' Zette. First off, Brazilian waxes are painful, but Le' Zette is also a masseuse. So because she has experience in both fields its a lot less painful than a regular Brazilian wax. Trust me on this one. Give her Brazilian wax method a try and you'll understand why I am a loyal customer from here on out. I have had other Brazilian waxes in town before and they were okay, but she did a great job. She was thorough but quick. She is also having a special for first time clients. $25 Brazilian wax for first time clients and $30 there on after. That's the best deal in town. read more

I always get my nails done by Michelle. Gel manicure and pedicure. She has the best customer service and always makes sure my nails come out perfect. She does amazing designs by hand!! My nails have been strong and healthy ever since I've been going to her, so I only trust her to take care of my nails. I've gone other places where they file then too much and my nails end up breaking. Her prices are very affordable as well. read more

My nail gal Ashley is just amazing. She can do it all she has done gel mani/pedi on me. I usually give her the color options and she creates a masterpiece. I have had several coworkers go to her as a result of her awesome designs. She is very awesome at fixing anything to your liking. If you want shorter nails or a different color she does not complain. Highly recommend this gal and location on cleanliness and service. read more

When I moved to Bakersfield, I was reluctant to go anywhere to get my hair cut as once you find one as a woman to cut your hair, you don't like to find new ones. Anyway, so I asked a girlfriend of mine and she reccommended me to Carlos at Karma. I went in the next day and found the place not only to be quite spacious, but the employees/owner were so nice and welcoming. He only charged me $45 for a washing/cut/style. I'm used to paying a $100 in Lake Tahoe so this was a treat for me. Tipped $15, and not to mention, I'll only be going there for my hair, nails, waxing, and tanning too! read more

I got a facial and brow wax from Veronica and loved it! It was nice and warm in the room and she used hot towels so that you don't get cold while you're laying there. She even massaged my face, arms, hands, and shoulders. Very relaxing! I definitely recommend her! read more

I bought a Groupon for a mani pedi with Michelle at Karma Salon. She was running a bit behind, so I had a bit of a wait. To her defense, I was the last appointment of the day, and a few of her previous appointments ran late, so it was an unavoidable situation. The salon is in an older part of town, and the building is large and very charming. The waiting area is a comfortable couch and it reminded me of a business I would find in the Noe Valley area of San Francisco. Michelle was extremely apologetic, and even upgraded my services for making me wait. She was friendly and cheerful. After greeting me, she asked if I was was allergic to anything, or if I had any nut allergies. Before my pedicure, she asked if I was diabetic. I have never had a manicurist ask those questions and I was pleased that she was conscientious of these issues with her clients. I was very pleased with her work, would highly recommend her. read more
