I've had a few uneasy experiences with other salons in town and so naturally was nervous about trying out somewhere new. I checked out the Yelp page and website before I came and could tell how much love and detail was put into the content. I called to book and was able to get an appointment with Sam for the following day. I went in for a trim and had the best all around experience. 1) Every girl wants to hear how pretty there hair is, no matter the shape it's in when they arrive; and that's exactly what I got. 2) Sam went above and beyond on the shampoo/conditioning process. She explained to me all their products (& their benefits) and ended with such a nice head massage! How often do you get that anymore?! 3)Sam was always checking in on me and asking me good questions (hair related & personal). I felt so comfortable! 4)Throughout the entire process I kept hearing another staff member and the owner compliment the hair cut/my hair. 5) Judging from the owners departure for the day, everyone in the salon is like family. There's so much love!! She even said "Thanks Hanna for coming in". You don't find it often that the owner is in thanking you for coming in let alone knowing your name. 6) my haircut was SO affordable. So easy to come back in 6 weeks. I've since relocated and was unable to travel back during the pandemic to have them done. Ani did my brows in November 2020. They were a beautiful brown immediately after my first session and darkened as I expected. They kept getting darker. I looked angry. I followed Ani's instructions to lighten them by doing the opposite of good aftercare and they began to lighten. They were no longer brown but were grayish-black instead. Ani offered to warm them up with a different tint that wouldn't darken them. The tint seemed to work but quickly faded to the same dark gray brows with a base that looks like color bled. It doesn't help that my hair is brown and my brows stand out as a poorly drawn in mismatch. My brows are a disaster and Ani stopped responding in July. I'm still diligently trying to fade them but these badboys won't budge. I started not to leave this review because Ani is super nice and super chill. Unfortunately, my brows are super botched and it seems fair to give others a warning. (Sorry) She is the quintessential hair stylist. She asked me questions I had never been asked before and genuinely cared about my hair and gave me valuable insight in a way I had never gotten insight before. She gave her own opinions but ultimately defaulted to what I wanted. I know nothing about hair besides that people tend to tell me mine is "difficult" when I get it cut. Not this time. She was very focused during the haircut, but had a very funny personality when we chatted afterwards and she did a fantastic job on my hair. I haven't loved a haircut maybe ever in my life until this one. No curve when you look at them from the side. This is typical of many average nail techs. The uncleanness is what really deserved the rating. What's the point of using an antifungal base if you don't even clean anything?

We had to take a cab into downtown, but our appointments were perfectly scheduled and executed that there was no unnecessary sitting around. One of the girls who came with me did a full color and cut. She was in the chair at 9am, the next girl at 9:45am while the color set, and I sat down at 10:05am. The young ladies at the salon were amazing. Each of us were delighted with the results. The prices were very reasonable for the wonderful service we received. It was a wonderful experience. After his haircut, they asked if he would be returning, and he said that he may return in a few months. They then asked if he wanted to return a month from that day. He said he might be back sometime around then. (Really he just didn't like his haircut, and he had a hard time communicating that. That part is NOT the salon's fault.) Here is where things went wrong with the salon: They booked him for the appointment, which he DID NOT ASK FOR. Received 0 texts confirming this "appointment" in advance, and they charged us $34 to my card for a no show appointment HE DID NOT ASK FOR. Receiving this charge, we were obviously confused. I emailed directly with the owner to settle this. First they "don't have any record of this charge". Then they "do have it on record, and say it was for his haircut he went in for" Not true.
