We bought a brand new RV travel trailer. Took it out for the first time and ended up going home early because there were so many problems. Ruined our entire weekend, even though we intentionally took it close to home in an established campground so we could test everything. Once we got back home, we unpacked everything, cleaned it up and went straight back to Parris. Unfortunately, we were told there was nothing they could do today because there wasn't a manager working. Ironically, the things that were issues were things that were either not checked or were skimmed over on our walk-through when we picked it up. I'm not claiming dishonesty, I'm just being honest in that it's questionable. Here are things that have been problems: Biggest problem was a leak from the water line to the toilet. We saw a puddle outside the trailer after our first night. Turned off the water immediately. As we got into finding where the leak was, we discovered old water damage that was clearly not from our use. Keep in mind, this is a brand new trailer, which leads us to believe that someone knew about this before. On our walk-through, we were told there was only a small amount of water in the tank, they ran the sink for a couple of seconds and did nothing with the toilet. Next issue was that the heater doesn't work at all. We trouble-shooted all the minor issues such as full propane tanks, clear intake (we cleaned out a wasp nest), fires up for about 5 seconds and then goes out; does the same thing three times then times out and does the same process even after resetting the thermostat. Best guess is a bad control board or faulty thermocoupler at this point. At walk-through we were told "it's too hot out here to test the heater, it won't come on". Last issue was one we noticed prior to leaving while getting it all ready - the roof vent fan would turn on for a few seconds and then stop working. At walk-through, they only opened the vent and turned on the fan to show it ran, then quickly turned it off. Given the other items, this now seems fishy looking back. Because we noticed this prior to our trip, and we thought it was the only thing wrong and we didn't want to have to haul it all the way back to Parris for such an easy fix, my husband just replaced the whole fan out of pocket for $150. These are just the known issues at this point, but leave me fearful of bigger underlying problems with our trailer. And obviously the water damage is a massive concern. I didn't buy a brand new trailer only to find myself in a fixer upper. I need Parris to make this right. At this point I do not want to keep this trailer and want one that actually works. read more

Where to even begin... we went in to look at a new 2022 XLR Boost fifth wheel in July and traveled from Elko, NV. We had a 2012 Rubicon you hauler trade in that we didn't tow with us, but brought all the info. We purchased the XLR and asked that our docs be ready for next weekend when we tow the trade in to them. When we arrived a week later as scheduled, the xlr was not ready/clean, our docs weren't correct and we waited hours. We had our kid and dogs with us as we planned to leave the lot for a night at KOA to get our stuff put away and get acquainted with the xlr, before we headed up to dry camp. Not only was our stuff not ready, the wrong hitch was ordered (I will give them a free pass on this as apparently we had a "different puck system they didn't know" and as first time 5th wheel buyers, we didn't know either. We ended up at KOA an extra night while they tracked down parts to get our hitch right, so an extra $115 for a night at KOA and lost night on our dry camp reservation. Parris did tow the camper to KOA and kept our trade in. Fine, it is what it is. As we get aquatinted with the trailer, we discover the mattress is ripped. Clean tear like a box cutter went thru it. We find that our shower leaks like crazy and wasn't sealed. We had a mess all over the floor and went thru all of our clean towels to clean it. Now we notice how filthy the floors are on our towels, even tho they "detailed" it while we signed our docs. Off to Walmart to get a swifter and cleaning supplies. Also off to the laundromat to wash towels. We went to make dinner and the back piece of the stove is cracked (which we should have noticed on the walk thru, but they had purposely covered and knew about. We found out later they knew about it). We start fidgeting with all the new accessories and learning how to use functions. We find the fireplace continuously trips. We find a stain on the floor that won't clean off. The ladder to the loft bed is fine for that bed, but it doesn't work for the pull down bed in the garage as it isn't long enough. A loft net won't stay secured. The night goes on finding issues. Monday arrives and hubby goes to Parris as soon as they open. Their 2 hour quote ended up taking over 4 hours and now we had an added late check out fee at KOA, but we get checked out and head to dry camp... Arrive at dry camp and we are finally relaxing... until we go to use water and our pump is now not working. We drive to the nearest town to get service and start googling and YouTubing to see what we can do, since the camper didn't come with any sort of manual like the older trailers did. We try everything and resort to refilling our 5 gallon jugs with the fresh water release under the trailer. At this point, I'm livid. I didn't just buy a brand new trailer to have all these issues, especially when I had a paid for older one that had no issues. This was not an upgrade. We took the trailer back with a laundry list of issues and drove back to Elko. 2 weeks go by and it isn't finished. 3rd week and they agree to meet us halfway in Wendover. We get to the trailer and there are issues we listed that are not fixed. At this point, we had to do our vin inspection and take it home for that to register it. We talked to Shane the manager and he said he would help us out and compensate us for getting the issues resolved. Our trailer is at our local dealer now being fixed. They are battling Forrest River for warranty work as they said Parris was already paid to fix it. Shane has gone non responsive to our last emails. Parris said we should have issues with Forrest River and this isn't their fault. You accepted a shitty quality trailer, tried to hide issues, failed to fix issues, don't respond. This is a Parris problem as well as a Forrest rover problem. Now that our local dealer has it, the pump has failed again as well. This is the biggest piece of shit I've ever spent money on. My old trailer sold with it days so we didn't even have the opportunity to cancel the deal and go home with our trade in. Parris, you should be ashamed. Talking with others who have purchased from you, they have a lot of the same issues. You haven't changed with complaints. No accountability and not even good/smooth talkers. We love them! We just bought a toy hauler and equalizing hitch from them. The sales process was seamless and professional. They did not seem to mind the 2 kids we had with us, in fact, I think they enjoyed them. The staff in the store were helpful and friendly. The trailer walk through was complete, much better than our previous experience. The service tech installed the hitch and took time to explain everything and made sure we were comfortable and understood everything about the sway bags and hitch. The sales people did not their very best to obfuscate how the loan works (5% really means 33%) then they talk you into the several thousand dollar "extended warranty", when you have an issue and take it in the service department charges you 1k and tell you nothing is wrong. It's perfectly normal for rv's to only work for 4 hours at a time! (They forgot to mention that when selling it to me. I've now bought 3 generators, installed airbags on my truck and will end up paying 40k on a 28k loan for a piece of junk that i cant use longer than 4 hoursat a time.. Terrible sales experience and absolutely no service after the sale. I agree with Joann F. who wrote in May of this year that they are thieves. We purchased a Gulf Stream Vintage Cruiser that at this point appears to be a lemon. Since we live 500 miles away from these people, we are unable to march in and demand a refund. At this point we are left to pay for needed repairs on our own and hope for the best. All this fun for $23,000. What a world. read more

May 2017 we purchased our first trailer from Terry's RV. It was a used trailer sold as is with no warranty. We trusted Terry's to give our family a set of safe and happy memory filled camping trips. In fact our salesperson Richard even said "We are going to send you out in a safe trailer." Unfortunately it appears there is very little inspection to ensure they are sending you out safely. The first issue were the bearings on the rear axle. This is DYI maintenance that I now know about and should be in every trailer's maintenance schedule. We took our trailer out twice for a total of 200 miles. On the third trip going up Parley's Canyon we nearly lost a wheel when a bearing was destroyed from the lack of grease. My axel was bent and needed to be replaced which I took on the cost. This trailer has surge brakes. When the time came to bleed the brake system after the axel replacement there was rust in the reservoir- the threads for the cap had rusted away a long time ago. This also caused the brake accuator to be seized up and they never worked since day one. Luckily my truck was able to handle the lack of brakes and sometimes slight jolts that the trailer brakes were causing. If I'd have ever used surge brakes I would know this was not normal. So I was clearly sold a trailer with no working brakes. How do I know they never worked? Once the brake system was replaced I could not longer backup my driveway because the surge brakes were actually working and had to be disengaged before backing up. No more jolts from the trailer when braking also. How is this right to sell a 5000lb trailer with malfunctioning brakes if they did inspect it? We've had some issues with customer service. When we called for help with this stuff, instead of responding to our frustration with any kind of empathy one person acted like it was our fault and they claimed they "always check the bearings." Don reached out to us regarding our negative review. We decided to trust in them again for repairing our brakes- all we ever wanted was a company that felt like they would help. We were giving quotes for approximately $500.00 (totally willing to pay for my repairs) to later arrive and have to pay $922.00 instead. When we first hooked up our trailer and pulled away someone at the dealership joked that R.V. stood for ruined vacation. He couldn't have been more right. I would for sure never buy a used trailer here. There is no warranty and appears to be zero inspection of it. read more

Relationships and customers don't matter at Terry's RV. Don't waste your time. We called on an ad Friday, made an appointment to see a rig Monday. We told the salesman we had a three hour drive and offered money to hold it. He said Monday would be fine. We called again Monday and told them we were on our way, yes they still had the rig we wanted to see. When we arrived the rig was sold. They had multiple opportunities to call and tell us it was sold. This would have been our third purchase from Terry's. They proved that people don't matter to them. They lost a sale, a customer and their reputation. read more

My aunt and uncle bought a trailer with a structural flaw and it needed to be fixed witch the prior owners said they would do. Then they sold out and no coverage will be given. We have purchased three RV's from Terry's. They carry the Lance brand which we prefer. Lance is hard to find and in high demand. We have been happy with the service we have received. We were apprehensive about getting a trailer as we have had Lance campers. We visited the dealership many times and received the right information to help us decide. The only one in the service department that I would trust to do any work is Allen. I had the front window replaced on my 2019 1995 lance camper and it was installed upside down and screws are already missing out of it poor workmanship. These people are beyond dishonest! They sold me a camper as "new," it was absolutely not new. I took it to a family reunion and my family of life-long campers were completely disgusted that these people took advantage of me and sold me something that was garbage. It literally had a tear that had been super-glued, massive water damage inside, the water pump had no power, the door would not latch closed, etc. I called Terry's RV when I discovered these problems and I was told, it was my problem now. When I asked to speak with Mr. Parris, I believe Don is his name, the manager, I was told he was out of town and unavailable. I called multiple times and he never returned my call. What ever happened to integrity! If you say that you are going to service a brand ... then do it! Need to get some warranty work done on a new trailer. Gulf Stream gave us the names of the dealers that did their service work for them. We contacted Terry's RV Center and was told, that if they didn't sell it to us that they would not touch it until the end of the season when they had taken care of their customers. So much for having a warranty on any trailer, Gulf Stream or other. From what I've read, it dose not seem to matter if you buy one from them or not. read more

I bought a pop up trailer from Terry's RV after the RV show in Salt Lake. we picked it up and used it for the first time on Memorial weekend. we had been told everything had been checked out and ready to camp in. when setting up we found the refrigerator didn't work the door was not right,had to use duct tape to hold together.the propane wasn't filled up the flush hose door was broken. took i for service has been over 3 weeks and still not ready. The service department said it would be at least another week.I paid $10000.00 3 months ago asked the owner to buy back for all the problems I've had. he offered $6000. Do not trust Terry's RV! I have been a customer dealing with nothing but problems since we purchased a brand-new trailer two years ago. I have been told repeatedly that they will take care of me, yet they continue to disappoint. Buying a trailer from Terry's RV has been the most regrettable decision. Considering my trailer is a 2017 Heartland Wilderness with a 'bumper to bumper' warranty, I should have a nice trailer, free from problems. Yet the list of problems goes on and on, the price goes up, and their customer service is non-existent. When we first ordered the brand-new trailer in April of 2016, we were told it would take one month to come in. For five months we were told 'it's going to be a little longer', 'the shipment didn't come in', 'they're switching models with the new year', 'they aren't making that color anymore', blah, blah, blah. We missed out on camping the entire summer of 2016 because of repeated excuses as to why our trailer wasn't ready. Once it arrived in September, we kept it winterized, and weren't able to use it until the spring of 2017. So a full year of having a brand new trailer meant no camping. Once we finally went out camping, the list of problems started. Terry's RV told me to 'make a list of problems' and bring it in within the first year to get 'everything fixed' under the '1-year bumper to bumper' warranty. It was unfortunate that our one-year warranty was half over by the time we even took it out, but the problems made themselves known right away. We realized our BRAND NEW TRAILER had A LOT of problems. We took the trailer in and asked them to fix a list of things. Turns out nothing on our list was covered initially. They tried to tell me some of the things were 'normal', others 'needed more tests' or 'needed to be looked into further', etc. Seriously? What's the point of a warranty that doesn't cover anything? So I fixed some broken trim, faulty nailheads, door latches that wouldn't close, etc. on my own. No big deal, except it's a brand-new trailer with a bumper to bumper warranty. Terry's kept giving so many excuses as to why they couldn't fix more major things. Finally I contacted the trailer manufacturer (Heartland) in order to get Terry's to cover some of the more major things like the black tank sensor, the awning rubbing on the slideout, and the loss of electrical in the kitchen slideout. Once the manufacturer pre-approved all three of those things, I took the trailer back in to be fixed. Terry's took it upon themselves to fix two out of three things. They refuse to fix the black tank sensor and continue to tell me the most ridiculous things to fix it! Initially they said I didn't clean it out well enough, then they suggested I drive around with bags of ice dumped in the tank, to let it roll around the tank to clean or fix it. Their latest suggestion is for me to jack up my trailer on one side every time I dump the black water tank. Apparently there is a valley on one side of the tank that is causing the sensor the think it's still full. So if I jack up the trailer, then dump it, it will fully empty the tank. Can you imagine me holding up the dump tank lines to jack up my trailer every time I have to dump it? I'm frustrated and don't know what else to do. The other ongoing issue I'm having is with the brakes. The trailer brakes have been a problem since the beginning. Since it was a brand-new trailer, I kept thinking it was my truck brakes. I kept investing time and money into my truck brakes, until I realized it's the trailer brakes! They are not working and haven't worked since the beginning. A short in the braking system has caused parts to malfunction, sending numerous error codes to my truck. Who would think a brand-new trailer would cause this? Either way I'm stuck with a new trailer that's out of warranty, full of problems that should have been covered from the beginning, and a big repair bill. I bought a brand-new trailer with a warranty in order to prevent this craziness. read more

WARNING: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM TERRYS RV! Terry's RV sold us a used trailer. They completely misrepresented its mechanical and structural condition. It was sold to us "as is" and I understand what that means, but when you buy something and ask numerous questions about its condition and are told its sound when it isn't you should do something about it. Our main concern was leaks. Told there were none and had never had leaks. Upon second use of the trailer, with a light rain for about half an hour the roof leaked all the way through in two spots and was so spongy up top you could poke a hole in it. Upon first use (right after we got it home and they supposedly had just inspected it) we found water lines that were cracked and were unable to use the water. I called immediately and asked for compensation on the supplies we needed to fix it and and was promised some. Have still not received anything 2 months later. I have contacted them numerous times and never received calls back. I finally talked to the owner and he would not do anything. He stated sometimes salesmen lie a bit to make sales(not ok for him to encourage lies). He also tried to make it seem ok because we got a discount (no matter what you buy something for your still spending money and it should work). He would not work with me at all or take it back and was quite rude at one point, scolding me as if i was a child. He also said that lots of rv's leak no matter how old or new (if he thinks that then something is wrong). I have never used a site like this and have rarely made complaints about anything. But in this case i feel very very scammed and used. We bought the trailer in the first place because we were having a child and we did not want to tent anymore. Well now I'm in debt with a trailer that leaks. Do not buy anything from Terrys RV. They misrepresent their products and lie to make sales. And what's worse is that it seems that the owner condones this behavior. Awful place! Don't trust them! read more
