The "four hours in your driveway" was me transferring all my belongings from my old RV into this one -- the slides were briefly pushed out and back for about fifteen minutes while it was sprinkling. I was given an approximately 3-mile test drive, which did not reveal the problems I discovered on the 12-hour trip home. A professional RV inspector confirmed nearly $7,000 in needed repairs. Slide seals don't fail after a single road trip, nor does an awning suddenly let daylight through after one week. I did call for help and when I didn't get a response, I texted. Your answer was to scold me for texting and tell me to email. When I asked for a refund after learning the true extent of repairs, your response was essentially "too bad, you bought it." Yes, there were no smells, rust, or leaks, but I was repeatedly assured this RV was in "pristine condition." That was false. I have not been able to drive this RV since I purchased it. It was also unprofessional for you to post my full last name when my review appears only as "Debbie M." -- a petty move that reflects poorly on your business and says a lot about your character. Let me start by saying I never purchased or had my RV serviced at Recreation RV BUT that being said Nathan was so integral in the buying process for my husband and myself that I feel like I did buy one from them. We are newbie motorhome owners and were referred to Rec RV from a neighborhood RV mechanic in Sandy. Nathan was more than gracious to give us advice, answer ANY questions we had and take time to help us in our search and continues to be a wealth of guidance throughout every step of our process (we have purchased a used rv from a private seller) We would have opted for one of their rigs but timing in the RV purchase game is EVERYTHING and that's the only reason why we didn't end up with a sale through Rec RV but we will definitely be bringing our rig for repairs and accessories and Nathan and the team have service customers for life. read more

The sales person was great, but the "inspection" didn't include checking the tire pressure, the generator, or a list of a dozen things even I, a total newb to RVs, found in minutes. At least in buying from a private seller I might have had some service records or a list of quirks. No such luck. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! I don't even know where to start. When Dave posted the pictures on RV Trader after receiving the rig he was very careful not to show how filthy and rusty things were. All of the heater registers were full of sawdust and rusty and the bathroom heater didn't work, Rodent damage? water damage? Later after this fiasco I ran the VIN number and found out it was stored in Texas where hurricane Harvey hit. Flood damage? After asking Dave 4 times to take pictures of the roof I still never received them. Damage? Tears? Dave told me numerous times everything worked in the coach. This was a lie. So after the video walk around which he was very careful not to show rust and damage I put down a deposit of $1000.00. I didn't go with their bank America First because I didn't like the balloon payment after 10 years, so the loan took a little longer than expected. Meanwhile I still asked questions about the condition of the rig, awnings, damage etc. Everything worked per Dave. Black water hose leaked into the bin- they didn't even try to clean it All of the bins were filthy Rig still had bugs all over it from the drive from Texas - They knew we what day we would be there to do a walk through they could have cleaned it. DEF compartment was caked with dirt I had to wipe it off to see the gauge NO service records for anything Straw / wood chips in heater register NO pics of roof Kitchen Fan/ vent didn't work window screens ripped and missing Tape on instrument panel to hold it together from a failed attempt to glue it back together No mattress on the fold out couch No mattress on the drop down bed No ladder for the drop down bed so you could access it- so they took a ladder out of another coach. lol No cushions for the drop down dining table to make a bed. So much for it sleeping 6-8 people They spared no expense to clean or fix anything on this rig and wanted top dollar for it. We didn't even get to starting the engine, starting the generator, awnings, slide the rooms in and out, conveniently it was winterized instead of keeping it in a covered barn, showroom, garage etc so we couldn't check out anything related to water leaks, washer dryer, water pump etc. I knew this was a used vehicle and didn't expect perfection but a little effort in cleaning it up and fixing some of the obvious problems would have been nice. I couldn't trust that this vehicle was as stated by Dave to be in good working order and nothing was wrong with it after seeing the condition it was in on arrival. So much for the "best service and cleanest units" available. As far as the short guy named Nate - owner- he wanted the money before I could get out there to see this rig. He said he needed to pay it off to get the free and clear title which was a lie because they sent a copy of the title to my bank prior to wanting the money for that reason. I believe the reason they only sell used rv's is because they buy at auction and take what everyone else doesn't want or damaged goods. They get at low ball prices and don't put anything into the rig to get top dollar like they are asking. Owner only puts enough money out to cover up problems not fix them, but once the workers meet that money line they stop at that too. The rig wasn't cleaned or ready for me to take it off of the lot. They wanted to fix some of the problems but only after I told them I wasn't buying it. They wanted to get away as cheap as they could because I was from out of town and had to fly in to pick it up. I trusted what they said about it and was lied to. They thought I would just take it and deal with it. They were very dishonest with me the whole time we spoke on the phone, text and email. I didn't see it before the deposit because I was out of town. They kept the $1000.00 deposit and it wasn't ready when we agreed. They obviously need it more than I do. I wonder how they sleep at night. I wonder if their families know how they do business. BUYER BEWARE!!! Don't put money down without seeing, walking through and trying everything out. We purchased our 2015 Thor Four Winds Class C motorhome from Recreation RV. They were very receptive to the things I asked to be addressed prior to purchasing the motorhome. The technicians and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The generator was having issues and they replaced the entire generator-at no additional charge. It's been over a year since we bought our first class A motor home through recreation rv, so it's been a sufficient amount of time to evaluate our experience. All I can say is that I hope we upgrade later to a newer model, and we will do it through these guys again. These machines are complicated, and it hasn't been perfect, but that is part of ownership that should be expected. What we were told when looking has held completely true, as new owners we put a lot of faith in these guys upfront and haven't been disappointed. Love our Monaco and the new adventure it's given us. Nathan claimed that we picked up our coach 5 days before scheduled delivery. That is an outright lie. We had a signed contract with earnest money in his hands 2 WEEKS prior to our pick up. They were informed that we had the money, (32K cash),7 days prior to pick up. The pick up date was agreed upon with Mike, the salesman. Nathan claimed that I damaged the Hurricane heat system because I had drained the fresh tank before I left. I had done a temporary repair and had water in the tank before turning the heat system on. The Hurricane Hydronic system is a "closed loop system" meaning it has boiler antifreeze in it. It was not drained. The thermostat in the front was just mounted on the wall. They were quite proud to tell me that the front AC unit and thermostat were new and that the thermostat operated the AC and the heat systems. The problem was... THERE WAS NO WIRES CONNECTED ! The hole in the wall, (for the wires) behind it was filled with wood putty. I spent $2K on the heat system before giving up and spent $4K more to replace it.Nathan offered me $300 towards repairs. BUT ONLY IF I REMOVED THE NEGATIVE REVIEW. That should tell you all you need to know about doing business with this place... read more

POOR INSPECTION AND LOTS OF UNMET PROMISES!!! We purchased our Class C RV in February, trusting in the 117 point inspection posted on their website. The sales staff was very nice during the sales process, assuring us they would fix the problems we were noting. When we asked if we could do an independent inspection, they told us we would have to hire an inspector to come to them to conduct it, we couldn't take the RV to the inspector. They then reminded us of their 117 point inspection. This is our first RV, so we had no idea what we were doing. We depended on their professional integrity. We assumed we would be informed of problems by the inspection. However, once we signed the "as is" contract, the atmosphere changed. When we picked up the RV, we learned that the items we hoped would be fixed wouldn't or couldn't be without extra cost. We took the list of proposed charges to Camping World, where many items were fixed for nearly half the cost quoted by RV Recreation. DO NOT TRUST THEIR INSPECTION! Among problems we discovered over the next few months, which we expected to be informed of included safety issues and operational problems: * The brakes were "metal on metal" and had to be replaced. * The main electrical plug was badly worn and we were missing a smoke detector. These has to be replaced. * The rear-view camera could not be fixed and had to be replaced. * The water pump was bad and 4 out of 7 valves of the water system were missing or malfunctioning, rendering the entire system inoperative. Yes, it was winter and we recognized they couldn't test the entire system, but you could actually see there were missing valves. * The DVD player and stereo was also broken. * The trailer hitch wiring was loose and we asked that it be reconnected to be operable. Their solution was to severely cut all the wiring which makes it unusable. * The forward vent and fan were broken, blinds torn and some interior lights were missing covers. We were assured all would be fixed. But when we picked the RV up, none of these promises were kept. Ultimately, we paid over $4,000 to corrected items not discovered during the inspection or not corrected as promised. I've sent a letter asking for redress, but have received no response. Because the contract is "As Is," we have little recourse but to report the problems in this review and hope that others avoid our mistakes. We will not be buying or requesting an inspection from them again. read more

We were assured everything worked on the Rv when we bought it in January one furnace was broken one AC unit was broken outside water hook-ups had to be all re-plumbed two fuel injectors had to be replaced the brakes that we were told had 3/4 life left on them were down to bare minimum All tires had to be replaced We learned our lesson and would only buy from an actual Rv dealership. Foolishly, I was under the impression that RV trader screened these companies that used their service, after my experience, I don't see how they can. This company hid many things. We purchased a Class A from these folks. We were told they do a 117 point inspection and on the day we picked up it was cold and retaining sonot testing of the AC and other systems. The A C did not work, the onan generator would run but not creat enoughamps to run anything. Generator rear plug corroded completely closed. We were then told they only check to see if it starts not works. The Ac had to have a main board replaced. There was a propane leak that we had o have repaired before we could safely use it. Lots of promises and lots of failed solutions. I learned never use these folks again and tell everyone about the bad experience. There were other items that they apparently missed on the 117 point inspection. Like 10-20 other important items that should have been on their inspection. read more

These people rescued us in the middle of a trip. They were able to reschedule existing work to help us in an emergency. Their work on our Winnebago was done as fast as they could and done right. Just wonderful people. Though we needed an additional part they told us which part to order and how to install it once we got it. In talking to them while the repairs were being done I got the impression they would be competent and honest if we were buying or selling. read more

Without a doubt, the WORST RV buying experience I've ever had and this was our 4th RV purchase. We were completely mislead about MANY expensive things regarding the RV we purchased. They were hiding (a) battery and charging issue, which later cost over $1,500 to rectify because RV needed not only new alternator, but also new battery disconnect and new batteries (b) origination of where the Coach came from (c) electric steps, costing $500 to repair (d) the tires, which we were told were "good" were actually in need of replacement, one of which was ready to blow out ... another $3,000.00 (d) water system was not working, but their mechanic purposely covered this up by hooking up to City water, thus making it look like it worked. This cost a new pump and clean out of the rusted water heater. Another $400.00. Once our loan was approved, they told us to "hold off" picking up the RV till 4 PM the next day. I didn't understand this until later, because they rushed us through the inspection by saying they were closing at 5, in order to hide myriad problems. Additionally we were told we should buy from them because they "didn't purchase their RV's from online auctions like other dealers". When we went into the office to sign papers, they were in the process of purchasing an RV online at an auction. Please please PLEASE don't make the very costly mistake we made ... do your research and, better yet, buy somewhere else! read more

I would rate these guy's ...a NEGATIVE ...5 Star ! .... November 2016 I purchased a 2000 Fleet wood storm ...let's start by saying .....Everything Nate said about the coach was B.S ....flat out Lies ! ...I asked him about the tire's ...he told me they were new ...B.S ...they were 10 year's old ! ....the roof ...I saw some staining inside by the slide ...asked was the roof leaking ...he told me his guy's checked it out and it was a rubber roof and it last's longer and was in good shape ! ....B.S ...it was totally wore out and leaking all over ! ....I asked to see the pump work he told me there was no water in the tank ....but he ran the pump ...i could hear it run ...later found out that the C-PVC pipe under the fridge was broken ! ... what I find the most disingenuous is that I called and spoke to them about the problems ....they said too bad ....the coach is sold AS IS ! .... These guys out and out lie.... I wouldn't recommend them to anyone ! read more
