We have a cockatiel and was told this…read moreplace is a great place to care for them, however our bird came back with a missing wing and very different behavior from before, in a negative way. when we contacted the sitter about the missing wing, which she didn't even tell us about until we noticed and reached out, she was very dismissive and simply said that "things happen to cockatiels". apparently fireworks caused her to panic during the 4th of July, however I also noticed that the environment was very noisy and could've been stressful for a bird like mine that was used to being in a household being the only bird. when I contacted the seller about the behavioral changes, such as her biting me when I try to pick her up, seeming very drained and exhausted, quieter, and a missing wing that we were told bled, she was very again dismissive and told us we offended her and that "there's always going to be an unhappy customer". I do not recommend going here if you have a cockatiel, for the sake of your bird.

Her birds and the birds in her care have lots of perch options outside their cages and in, toys and other enrichment. We left our birds for four nights and felt good knowing they'd receive the best care from a very knowledgable, thoughtful and kind person. When we picked up our birds, they were relaxed and content. Clearly, it had been a good experience for them. We're so grateful to Loving Care Bird Boarding. Now we can getaway on occasion without a worry. That's priceless for people with exotic birds!

We got there about 20 mins before opening and were first in line. The one main suggestion I have is that there be a space/room where you can interact with the potential pet you want to adopt. It was hard trying to hold the kitten and not let her on the ground to play/interact with her. The staff were great with answering questions. Second suggestion would be to give out numbers when people walk in so there is some order. It was a little chaotic since we were there for a kitten and there were other potential cat owners that were being a little aggressive about trying to push past us when we were walking upstairs to see the kittens and trying to claim the kitten they wanted that they saw online. Luckily for us it wasn't the same kitten my daughter was there to meet. Once again this wasn't CAT's fault, but wish there was maybe a more structured way to avoid these types of interactions to happen. It was a little jarring to say the least. Pushing past 2 adults and 2 kids could have made any of us fall down the stairs. They weren't even second in line so that means they were pushing past several people to "be first". The staff does a great job walking you through the adoption process. We were given a complimentary first vet check-up waiver (which was honored by our vet). We were also given a bag of food to take home that our kitten was used to eating. We didn't have a carrier and we were able to purchase a carrier box for $8.00. Also they some times have more pets for potential adoption than what is showing online. If they come in later in the day or early morning these cats may not be on their website yet. Overall our experience was wonderful (minus the overly aggressive woman who was screaming and trying to race us upstairs). You can tell the staff love their jobs, made the adoption process easy and appreciated all the information they shared throughout the adoption process.

I got her for my husband who had Parkinson's and she immediately knew her Job was to be his buddy. He sadly passed away in November so now she is my BFF. The animals are brought back to health and the fosters do an amazing job of getting them ready for forever homes. I am now a monthly donor! So glad to support this great organization.

OFOSA is an AMAZING organization to adopt through. They match families based on personality (what…read morethe family is,) and match it to their potential kitty. (It is likely the same for dogs, I don't know.) We first heard of OFOSA through Instagram and followed our Oscar (formerly Drizzle, of the "Sky Kitten" litter,) from his small beginnings as one of 8 and his mama. His foster mom clearly loves each kitty, kitten and older kitty, as her own from the minute she receives them. I was a foster before I had kids, and it's a hard and thankless job from most adopters. They have no idea the love and emotion that goes into raising a healthy kitty only to see them go home and never see them again. We originally wanted the female calico, Sunny, in the litter. My daughter, who is 8 1/2 lost her "soul mate kitty" in February of 2019 and asked for a kitten, so we thought about it and the timing of this litter worked perfectly with our plan to allow her to pick a kitten. When it came to choice time, we did a blind family vote. We wrote down numbers and read the character traits out. Sunny placed last for us all. She wasn't who we should adopt. But when we tallied it up, Drizzle was our CLEAR first place. Cuddly AND playful was what we were looking for and that's exactly what we got. We adopted him almost a month ago, on 12/11/21 and he very quickly won our hearts. He's 16 weeks now and he's a frisky and mischievous little kitten with loads of energy and spunk. He is an absolute love as well. One day when it's time for another kitty, we will absolutely be doing this same process again. He couldn't be a better fit with us. Thank you SO much OFOSA. They are very gentle with him so he enjoys coming here. Everyone is so nice. They laugh with you during good times and cry with you when your baby is sick. I only have two suggestions: It would me nice if their specials/sales/coupons lasted for a few months because the supplies I need seem to always fall outside the expiration date. It would be nice if they were open even half a day on Saturday. We feel happy here because they make Hoagie feel happy and cared for.

This is definitely a specialty store which has an entire room for raw food for cats and dogs. The ambiance of the store is fun and fanciful, which adds to the fun of shopping here. Instead of it being one big space, there are 3 rooms, and the cashier's in the center of the main room, surrounded by cat and dog toys. The prices are much better than in Portland. Our bird was scared and stressed as expected..but the doctor and his assistant were very quick to fix him up and with as little stress on him as possible.. We have been taking our female Grey there for about 20 years now..For basic weight and health checkups..their regular vet is fine..but for anything extreme, or our of the ordinary..you really want to take them here..it's a drive for us..but their specialty training and focus on birds is far superior to standard vet care.

The next time, I asked the groomer to keep my dog's beard and to trim the skirt but said shortening it would be fine if necessary. Instead, my dog was almost completely shaved. I was told there was matting on her legs and skirt and signed a matted pet agreement, but no one communicated that a full shave would be the likely outcome before proceeding. If that had been explained clearly, I would have appreciated the opportunity to decide how to move forward. They did refund me after I raised my concern, which I appreciate, but the final result was not what I requested.

There was quite a bit of hair they took off of him. It'll be great for the summer months. We highly recommend. They will be our new go to for our grooming needs.
