Shortly after completion, the exterior cedar siding began showing premature cupping, cracking, and tannin bleed. During the project, a water-based stain product originally intended for interior use was used as part of the finish matching process for the exterior cedar siding. We later became concerned that the finish system and wood preparation were not appropriate for long-term exterior exposure. We also raised concerns that the siding boards were not fully sealed or protected on all sides and cut ends prior to installation, which industry guidance commonly recommends to help prevent moisture imbalance in cedar siding. When we brought these issues forward, the contractor characterized the problem as primarily a finish issue and proposed sanding and re-staining the exposed face of the boards only. We did not believe this addressed the underlying cause of the wood movement and deterioration. In addition, the custom interior wood railing/slat installation required multiple rework attempts after components became loose and detached. Additional fasteners were later added into the wood members after the original installation approach did not hold properly, which raised concerns for us regarding workmanship and long-term durability. Because we were unable to reach a meaningful resolution, we filed a complaint with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). We recommend that homeowners carefully document all material specifications, finish systems, installation methods, and responsibility for wood protection in writing before starting a project.

I am writing this on behalf of the community here where I live. We have 32 townhomes and this was…read morea contract that was signed off on by our HOA. Upon first meeting Adam and his father, they were both gracious and attentive. They listened to all of our concerns and assured us that this paint job would be done to the best of their abilities. As homeowners, we trusted that the work would be done professionally. Since the painting started over a month ago, there have been several inconsistencies in their work. Garage Doors were haphazardly sprayed once over on several of the units here. We were told that they were finished as is. As you can see from the pictures, you can see how the patterns of the spray paint was erratic. We wondered how this could be considered complete. After reporting the issues, they look 'ok' now but disappointing. Doors that were painted in our patios are uneven and we had to ask to have them come back to do touch ups. When touch ups were done, they were left looking sloppy and careless. Alas, things aren't perfect and when we requested to have cans of touch up paint to do it ourselves, they brought a small amount so that we could do this. Mind you, when I say "small" amount, the paint won't be enough to do a 2nd coat which is what our patio doors need. I am reminded to be grateful. What I will say is that they have been responsive to our requests to have things re-done. The garage doors look adequate now. When our address numbers were painted initially, they didn't take off the numbers prior to painting them. It was only because we *asked* to have the numbers be taken off prior that they came back to do them correctly. As of now, the numbers are fine and done to our satisfaction. (I am not showing these for Privacy reasons). Lastly, I want to be completely honest and say that I love to support small business. Take a look at my reviews and you'll know that 90% of them are positive. I was really rooting for these guys and wanted to see them do well. But as a client of theirs, I would be doing all of you a disservice if I didn't tell you all the truth.

We all had to work around the wintertime rainy weather and their other customer commitments, but the extra time it took to get the quality we got was well worth the wait. We had some mold in our garage and the quote to repair and replace the drywall was part of the original quote. We had them remove the drywall. They then worked with us and we found the source of the leak. They fixed it for a fraction of the additional cost that others had quoted us. The quote also included repairing areas on our chimney where birds were trying to get in so they were a good one stop shop to get more than just painting done. Adam and Ron are very nice, upstanding guys who treated us fairly and we could not be more thrilled with the results and recommend them without reservation!
