Bittersweet symphony on the left and the n/a paloma on the right
    Michael W.

Upon arrival we were quickly seated, but not promptly waited on...the person seating us said they would be right back with waters and menus and never returned. We then had another person show up with menus and said he would return with waters...he did not. When he returned for our orders we asked about waters and he said he would get them after placing our drink orders. We placed our drink orders and he returned with waters and my wife's drink, but not mine as they ran out of an ingredient they made in-house I placed a new drink order and we placed our food orders. Our drinks the bittersweet symphony for myself and a n/a spicy paloma for my were delicious and refreshing. Our food arrived and my wife's fish special was spectacular. It was salmon with a miso glaze and it was just a flavor explosion in your mouth. I had the pasta special it was (mac and cheese) cavatappi noodles with pulled brisket on the top and it tasted delicious the brisket was succulent and the cheese sauce was rich and decadent. This place is a gem in the area and we'll worth the visit. My only complaints were the service was a little off(short-staffed?) and my pasta was overcooked(not mushy, but it missed al dente by a bit).

Been there multiple times and it's always a pleasure to dine here. Elegant dining and food but casual vibe. Delicious food. Upscale service. 10/10 definitely recommend coming here. It is 21+ to enter. Great Martini menu and Wine List.

Most of the wall art are from local artists. Seems like a popular local spot. Order the fried mushroom, basil, garlic cheese dip, blackened fish tacos, scallops, less prosciutto, up charge to the truffle fries, large mixed green salad. $109.08 The dip is very cheesy and creamy and garlicky. The bowl looks deeper than it actually is, it's quite shallow. The scallops are nicely cooked, not loving either sauce with though. Has prosciutto on the scallops as well. The snow peas are nicely cooked, not the ends are quite hard to chew down, best to cut the ends off. The truffle fries are okay, not the best I have eaten, but my husband still gobbled them up, since he likes any fries. The fish tacos come deconstructed and are build your own. They were pretty decent, but my husband didn't love having to assemble his own tacos so much. Service from Casey was pretty good, minus the mistake of the prosciutto on my scallops.

Had a date night here on a Saturday with my wife. Elk Burger (mine) Burger was very good Fries too 4/5 Walleye Picatta (hers) She enjoyed it Loved the garlic mash 4.5/5 Shaggy Martini (hers) She found it refreshing and tropical 5/5 Old Fashioned (mine) Couldn't taste the whiskey or any of the ingredients for that matter. All I tasted was water. 0/5 Angels Envy neat (mine) Since I was disappointed with the old fashioned I just went with a reliable whiskey I like. 4/5 Flourless Chocolate Pudding Cake Sweet and chocolatey but you can taste that the cake is flourless. Leaves a chalky aftertaste. 3.5/5 Wait time Was told there was 10-15 minute wait time. I think we waited 10 overall. 5/5 Service The waiter was good and attentive. 4/5 Overall we'd definitely go again. Ambience was nice.

Great service to guide through menu offerings. Chefs craft unique selections for a variety of great specials. Cool downtown ambiance and friendly staff. Enjoyable meal on a business trip.

Visiting family from out of town. Daughter recommended coming here. We throughly enjoyed our meal. Service was good. Took awhile to get food, but once we did it was tasty. I ordered an old fashion cocktail that was just ok. A little disappointed in it. Everything else was good.

Fried Cheesy Pickles OMG so delicious!

While in town looking at the law school for my daughter we are here as one of the recommended spots. We were not disappointed. We started with the fried pickles and calamari. The fried pickles are absolutely delicious . I refrained but wanted to order another order of these. Cannot wait to come back when we move her in, in 3 weeks to have them again. The dipping sauce is amazing we used it for our fries too! The calamari was very good too. Then we had the mushroom & spinach Lavash and the prime rib sandwich. The crust on the lavash OMG was amazing and tasty. The prime rib sandwich was delicious too. Service was great and the restaurant decor has a good vibe. If you're in Grand Forks I highly recommend giving this place a try. We will be back in 3 weeks. Can't wait!

The food was OK, probably not worth the price. Crafty and interesting drinks, but as it turns out, there's a reason others don't mix certain ingredients together--some of them were yuck. Overall, I'd say it's a local landmark (the townfolk seem to love it), and I would go just for completions sake but there are other spots in town with better food.

    Blackened trout... yummy!

My favorite in Grand Forks! Nice ambience, delicious food, and great service. The egg white sour is pretty yummy! I had the blackened trout which was the special of the night and it did not disappoint! We went early on a Tuesday night and it was not too crowded but I've heard there could be a wait on the weekends. Street parking not too bad. They do not take reservations unless it's for a group of six or more. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Then it got worse. Kitchen was very slow. I had the Reuben. It came out alomost cold, slightly warm. Sigh. Hot foods should be presented hot. Worse yet it wasn't really a Reuben. A very small amount of corned beef mixed into a cheese spread with a tiny amount of sauerkraut. The bread had been grilled though. Not an $18 sandwich. Making a Reuben is not difficult- use plenty of corned beef - should be at least an inch thick. Next level would be to make the corned beef in house. It's not that hard. Use snappy, crunchy sauerkraut. Next level - make it in house. They are already making other pickled things - add sauerkraut. Use real Swiss cheese. As stated the bread was ok but a marbled rye would be better. Serve it hot. Go for it here - have the best Reuben in Grand Forks!!!! I expect this review to fall on deaf ears. At the end of the day I paid $150 (including tip) for a pretty disappointing experience (except for the olives) and cold food. I hope they can pull it together.

When I buy a $26 dollar plate of cream sauce fettuccine with sausage and shrimp it better knock my socks off. Theirs completely didn't. When I splurge and pay premium prices, I expect to be served premium, Chef inspired food I could not easily craft at home.

Took them a while to clean it to be quite honest. I just didn't feel like they were doing a good job of busing and cleaning tables when people were emptying. Our table had been bussed but not cleaned and I know it had been sitting there for at least five minutes cause I watched it. Once we got seated, again felt the service was pretty slow. Took a long time for the guy to take our drink order and he walked by the table multiple times. Then when he finally did take the drug order, took a really long time to get drinks. In general, our server was just not very efficient. This occurred throughout the entire meal and often had to ask for things multiple times. For example, when I wanted to get another beer, it took almost 10 minutes. In that time he came to the table twice and on the third time, I finally said, did you get that beer for me and he had totally forgotten evidently. That was a fourth time he had forgotten something that was ordered. When we did actually get food and drinks, the food itself was very very good. The walleye cakes were excellent. My pasta was well cooked and had great flavor. The carrot cake martini was very interesting but definitely tasted like a carrot cake. I think they just need to work on their service, a lot. The quality of the food and the quality of the restaurant deserves much better servers.

Sound gross but she liked it though it was a bit overdone at pink since they wouldn't do medium rare. Prices were reasonable though they have a credit card surcharge.
