I have never done a Yelp review before but I am so appreciative of Parrott Handyman Services, I wanted to do something beyond payment to thank them! One of my kids fell against the toilet and busted the tank in the middle of the night, water was everywhere. I am a single Mom and was completely frantic about the cost of repair, water damage, and how quickly I could get someone out. I called a few places, with no response. I called Parrott's, and they responded immediately. He reassured me that he would take care of it quickly and for a fraction of the cost of competitors. He instructed me on how to stop and extract the water until he could arrive (again this was about 3 am, and I couldn't believe I was even getting a response). Ray was at my house by 5am with an estimate and a new toilet. He was absolutely amazing! The professionalism and care he took was outstanding. Even the patience he had with my kids asking him a million questions l, while he was trying to work. Because of his instruction, quick response and efficiency I had zero water damage. He repaired the toilet quickly, cleaned up the entire mess, and left my bathroom cleaner than it was before the incident occurred. I can't say enough about this business! I don't know what would have happened if it wasn't for Parrott's Handyman Services that night! The following day I had several call-backs from Plumbers I called that night, and the estimate they quoted was substantially higher than what I paid. Sadly, today is the second time I have needed a plumbing service at my home. I am extremely happy I found Ray Parrot and his business while googling options. Ray made it a point to get me scheduled ASAP with my concerns both times. He is very personable and extremely knowledgable in his profession. His pricing is exceptionally reasonable considering is many years of experience! He ensured that not only were my problems corrected the right way, but also showed me exactly what he needed to do, why, and made recommendations from his thorough inspection on what caused the issues in the first place and how to prevent issues in the future. I appreciated his personal approach to educate me on my system while showing me how things work when he was correcting my areas of concern. My family and I 100% trust Ray and his company with doing the right thing and working with our home. I do not post and recommend often, however, Ray's level of commitment and professionalism to his clients absolutely warrants me telling my neighbors to use his business when they have a need. read more

Never again; he submitted no quote for work (so I can't dispute a $725 charge to my account), tore holes in my wall in the basement (did not fix, issue was in first floor bathroom) broke ceiling tiles (and noted he 'hated drop ceilings'), left with the pipes still clogged, and water on my floor. The base of my vanity is now warped, and upon his departure I noted he overtightened a toilet bolt, and cracked my toilet. Worst experience ever. He took advantage of me, a first time home-buyer. I made the mistake of not asking for a quote, or guarantee, neither of which were provided. I'm completely confused as to why I have yet to receive any refund for service that he was unable to provide regardless of hours spent on my property. The only positive was that he replaced a toilet he broke a day after spending time not fixing the problem. PLEASE take your business elsewhere. read more

I needed to replace the garbage disposal in my kitchen. After looking into Youtube videos and reading directions, I decided that it would be best to leave it to the professionals. I saw the Parrott Handyman van the other day, and decided to give Ray a try. I called, and he was extremely friendly and professional. We scheduled an appointment for the next day, and he showed up promptly. He was able to install the new garbage disposal quickly and correctly. While installing it, he noticed that I also had a leak under the sink from my dishwasher that I hadn't noticed. He fixed the leak with no additional charge. I'm so glad that he found the issue because I never would have known. Thank you again for being able to help me out! This guy is a scam artist. Not only did he take 10 days to complete a shower instal, no concrete was installed under the shower floor. The photos posted show the gravel falling from the shower bed. He has a crew that does not speak English, which wouldn't be so bad if he didn't disappear from the job for hours, thereby making communication impossible. The shower was left completely UNUSABLE. THE GROUT CRACKED ON THE SHOWER PAN EACH TIME IT WAS STEPPED ON. He left the ceiling downstairs a complete mess. Water damage everywhere. LASTLY, he did this to an elderly person. My advice.. look elsewhere for your needs. read more

Ray and his team did a fabulous job building these handicap ramps for my parents house. Both of my parents are in wheelchairs so these made it so much easier to take them to their appointments. Ray has done other work for me and he is always professional, he really knows what he is doing and gives a fair price! He also does a great job cleaning up after himself! So much so you wont even know he was there except that he leaves your house cleaner than before he got there!! They came on time, assessed the issue accurately, and gave us a quote to have everything fully fixed. we accepted and right away they got working on the plumbing issues we had. Our apartment is old and we needed to redo the water Valves and water heater connections. Ray worked super fast and with care. He waited to ensure that everything was well. I had them replace a 10 foot section of an underground downspout pipe that had collapsed and was causing water to overflow from bottom of downspout due to packed in mud/mulch in the pipe. When there was a delay due to weather, they let me know ahead of time. They provided a detailed estimate ahead of time, gave me regular updates during the process (including showing me at end that the issue had been resolved), and cleaned up the area once finished. Ray & Karen Parrott are awesome people. They are very professional and personable. I had an emergency and talked to Karen at 9:30 AM and Ray called me back within 10 minutes to find out my problem. He was at my house shortly after and stopped a leak I had in a wall in my kitchen and quickly stopped it. He then went and got parts and fixed it within hours. I highly recommend them for any issues. I had a (what they call) a hose bib that was leaking. Parrott Handyman came out and repaired the line and changed out the hose bib. They were upfront with the pricing and very fair. Ray kept me informed as to what was happening so that I was always aware during the process. I also appreciated that he cleaned up after himself when he was done. I had an issue with clogged drain pipes. Had multiple plumbers here before calling Parrott Handyman Services. All they did was take my money and never fixed the problem. I had a small leak behind a wall that had grown into a problem. Ray the owner came out on schedule, checked it out, and told me he'd fix it on the spot. An hour later, the pipe was fixed and we found the main water valve coming in the house was faulty. He fixed that too. Called his drywall guy and 3 hours later everything was fixed and mudded. Zero disruption to me while I'm working from home. Waiting for it to dry now. Very professional and courteous guys. read more

I had to have the main shut off valve to my home replace. The valve would not open completely due to rust and this lead to us having very low water pressure in our home. I called this company and they came out and gave me a very upfront estimate on with the repairs would cost. They completed the repairs and I was extremely happy. They were fast and efficient. This company is on point!! The lady answering the phone is efficient and nice and then the Technician that came out was very knowledgeable, efficient and very clean. My place looked better after he left! We had a clogged sink and he had to take apart the pipe to clear it. He had a bucket so as to not get all that stuff everywhere. Once he was done he even used clorox to make sure there was no germs! They are great!! Use them! read more
