I'm an avid user of public transpo and I've had my fair share of many different experiences whilst using a cab service. Ultimately it boils down if the business operates 24-7, the price, and their turn around time. Parson's is quick and efficient. Small little hole in the wall business with not much breathing or sitting room. Don't let that deter you because you won't be waiting for long. No matter the time of day or night the cabs seem to be anywhere from one to ten minutes away. My ride was easy breezy and inexpensive. From Jamaica to Bayside it cost me $20 flat. No hidden fees or issues from the driver. I'm a happy camper. read more

Don't bother calling if you need to be somewhere on time. Was quoted ten minutes, took them about 25 to get to me. Granted it's raining okay. I get in expecting it to be about 15-16$ since I'm only going 15 mins away. The cab driver told me 25$!!!! That's more than I pay coming over 30 mins away. I asked are you an Uber you change the price depending on the weather? No they just charge a ridiculous amount of money to make you late. Screw this place honestly. Unprofessional and a rip off. This cab service does not even deserve to have one star. I kindly spoke to the dispatcher and said that I did not want their service anymore because I requested a specific cab number that was not available, who I have been using frequently. The dispatcher told me to "go to hell and die", which is highly disrespectful and unprofessional along with being a bad representation for this business. I would 100% NOT recommend choosing this cab service, perhaps this employee should face consequential action. read more

The dispatcher lady is very unprofessional and has an attitude. I asked her basic questions about fees and location. She got really frustrated like it's so hard to answer those questions. They need a more customer friendly dispatcher. I just cancelled and googled another taxu service. I found Unity Car service. They were great. read more

I was quoted one price on the phone. No problem. I brought out an extra $5 for a tip for the guy. When we reached my destination. Be charged that extra $5. Ok no problem. I'm just glad I brought it out with me. Guess what though. No more business from me. Rip offs. read more

Used their service again today, and it was great! The dispatcher was great - called 15 minutes prior to confirm, called to let me know the driver arrived (the driver even arrived early which was greatly appreciated), and called the driver to confirm pick-up. Smooth, safe, and fast ride to the airport, and the driver was pleasant. Also, the price of the service that they told me when I booked the car was exactly the price charged. Definitely my go-to. Whenever I sleepover my friends place in Jamaica, I almost always use this service. I'm not terribly sure what's up with the bad reviews, because these have always been absolute sweethearts. When calling for an update, they seem to have updates based off of my number without me having to give it to them or even ask them anything (foresight). Most times I use them to travel to Co-op city, with their rates being lower than that of a yellow/green cab. They've given me the same driver repeatedly upon request. Debit card cab is sent (if available) upon request as well. The dispatcher always keeps me updated.. I'm a huge cabbie, and I honestly do like these guys. He got on to the driver and we agreed to pay an additional $10 to have the phone dropped off.. just for common courtesy.. after that agreement he proceeds to say " how can you forget a phone in the car .. you need a string tied around your neck! So I'm writing about my wonderful experience with the most awesome cab company. I'd give it a zero rating if I could. I called an hour ahead to see if I can reserve a cab, they said best to call 15-20 min before. Sure, I do that. I called 4:10 for a 4:30 pick up. I'm there and wait an extra few minutes on a busy street. Meanwhile, tons of other cabs are passing by. I said $%^ this and called for a status update. He said he'll be there. Sure... I waited a few more minutes and nothing. I jumped into another cab. I didn't even receive a call from them later on saying the cab was here. Came to New york and didn't know how to get around I went in then the person behind the desk told me how and where to go and how to get to the address I was going to, then they offered me a cheap rate at first I didn't want to take it but I did and it made my day I got there in time and was able to have help from the driver. Then the week after my week was done at the sub/tem room i rented out I called them again they told me the driver would come in 5mins and he did then he help me move to st. johns university and take all my stuff love the atmosphere of the drivers they actually care about the person and they are nice, respectful. read more

Use to this car service back in college, when my standards and pockets were low. Needed a car service bad when visiting recently & decided to give my old love affair a call. They're JUST alright.... If you want good customer service, go elsewhere. Dont expect them to help with a bag or pull open a door or anything like that. I'm very disgusted with this company. I advised people not to take them. I called for the cab, and it only took me two minutes to get downstairs there was no cab I went across the street to a gas station to pay for the cab, and still no cab. I get a call from dispatch or saying he had called me six times but in looking in my phone it only was three times within a three minute period, and still no cab on my street. He kept yell at me that his driver had been there for ten minutes waiting; I looked around and could not see the cab. The dispatcher then told me to call another cab company. WORST SERVICE EVER! My doctor's office is by their taxi service. Sometimes, I'll catch a taxi from there. I walk to the taxi service. I never had a problem with them or their drivers. They usually have a cab for me in 10 minutes or less. read more

So I just called for a car and the dispatcher recommends me a different car service. I tell him I spoke to them and I was trying to compare rates. He tells me the car service he recommended is closer to me and that it would take him 20 minutes to get to me (which is a lie cause I drive and I know the base is 10 minutes away). I never met a business owner who defers people to a different business. The tone the call was handled in sucked. Can't really write a review on the service cause they denied me. I called at 7:30 to get a car sent to pick up my mother from the hospital as I can't pick her up myself, these pieces of s**t put me on hold 3 different times for what amounted to 20 minutes EVERY time I gave them the hospital name. Worse experience I've ever had in my life, first I called at 2:30 for a 3:30 cab they said we should call when we need it. I called again at 3:10 and they told us 10 min. I called again after 20 min of waiting and they told me 7 more minutes. So I was expecting the cab to come no later than 3:40 at this point. Have in mind I was supposed to be at my appointment at 4:00. At 3:50 I called again asking where the cab is, I came outside and there was a man in a car honking at me, I wasn't sure if that was a car service or not because he had no TLC plates. I came up to him asking for his TLC license he didn't have one. I refused to get into the car with someone like that.
