2022 Hired Parsons Construction/Cole Parsons with Superintendent/Brian for custom home build. Do not sign a "price fixed contract" with this company. If the word "Transparent" is used RUN!!! I experienced long delays for samples. Poor quality of work. Blueprint not followed. Wrong product installed at the price of $51,000.00. The builder walked off job, because he refused to replace with correct product. C .Parsons will claim he quit, he did, because of the poor job. Sub contractors allege Parsons is a slow pay. Sub contractors allege money withheld and false claim made money was refunded to client (me). Allege Idaho public records show another lawsuit filed as recent as July of 2025. Allege Dave Parsons (founder) is no longer an owner. Don't be fooled if he is paraded into your meeting. Many other quality builders available. AVOID THIS COMPANY read more

I wish I could provide a good review as Parsons came very well recommended... I've been a real estate investor for over 10 years and have never had an experience like this. We just moved here in 2015, and purchased a home on the verge of foreclosure. This just meant there were things that needed to be addressed in addition to the renovations needed to make the property work for our family. I was charged $1500 for Mr Parsons to even take the time to come out to the property and make a quote for projects to be done. I have NEVER paid for a quote before, however I was ok with this only because we were new to the area, he came highly recommended, and I was assured that most of that would be put towards the renovation costs. I had several projects I was looking to do, adding a kitchen to the basement and enclosing a barn to make it more "livable" as well as repairing a a balcony, etc. When the bid finally came in, for one of the projects I found it to be about $20,000+ over what is should have been ( I have since completed this particular project for less than $15,000 and am extremely happy with the results.) (Parsons bid came in at around $40,000 to add a kitchen to an already finished out space) Soooooo obviously we didn't quite see eye to eye on that project... in addition the "architect" that he brought in to assist never really seemed to grasp what I was looking for ... kept trying to add a window, etc. I called in and left several messages trying to get other projects handled thinking that I had already invested $1500 I might as well get some of it back in the form of work... and because I liked Mr Parsons... he seemed knowledgeable and professional. I cannot say the same for his office staff sadly. Joyce ( I believe her name was) treated us as if we were asking for a handout. She was rude and condescending every time I called, she was rude to my mother when she went in to pay the $1500... I just thought well maybe she had a bad day... but nope every dealing with her was like rubbing 100 grit sandpaper up and down my spine. I'm not sure she ever even gave Mr Parsons the messages... Either way she basically lead me to believe that since we had not hired their company to do the over priced kitchen renovation they had no intention of working on any of the other projects I had discussed with Mr. Parsons when he was here. I cannot speak to the quality of this company's work as the quotation process and dealing with rude office staff has left such a bad taste in my mouth, I have gone elsewhere for my contractor needs... with wonderful results I might add..... Bottom line... plenty of reputable contractors and builders that don't make you pay for the privilege of receiving a quotation for services, I would start there if I were you. read more

Top-notch construction company We contracted with Parsons Construction to completely repair and redesign our basement that had been damaged in a flood, as well as the remodeling of our kitchen and master bathroom. We had a very tight window in which to have all of this completed, and Parsons worked closely with us and their sub-contractors to ensure everything was completed within the requested time period. Not only was everything completed on time, but the results exceeded our expectations. As with any major project, there are always follow-up items, and Parsons was very responsive to ensure all adjustments were completed timely and with high quality. We have lived in many locations over the years, and have dealt with many contractors. Parsons is by far the most professional, responsive and quality-focused that we have worked with. I would give ZERO stars if I could. If you use this company, expect to pay extra, get shoddy work, have huge delays, and have your concerns and communications ignored. Dave Parsons, after we signed on the bottom line, disappeared. His crew showed up to work 2 hours per day when they bothered to show up. The work had to be monitored constantly because mistakes were found every day they worked. Parsons then billed to have those mistakes corrected. Don't trust Dave on his "margin". You expect "cost plus" but he will charge more than he says upfront. He won't give you honest labor hours, either, and then try to charge you when you want to verify them. This company does not care a whit about customer satisfaction or even its own reputation. Don't sink to Dave Parsons' contract arbitration clause and giving away your legal rights. We did not, but we were still ripped off. USE PARSONS AT YOUR PERIL. This is a terrible, dishonest company. read more

My wife and I recently had an estimate done by the crew at Parson's Construction. Dave couldn't have been better to us. I appreciate him being truthful with us about the reality of the costs and return on our investment. While we didn't decide to do the project at this point when we build our dream home in the near future Parson's Construction will be hammering the nails.
