Best burger I've had in years !

Very nice place is an unassuming area. Didn't expect for it to look so good. The food was amazing and the staff were very accommodating. The " Elevated " part of the establishment has huge tvs and couches available to watch sports over drinks and a bite with a lounge in the back. Celebrated my good friend Tawana's birthday here yesterday and it did not disappoint. Check it out on a Friday if you're in the LIC area.

Spacious, updated, good vibes and nice small roof top area. Service was slow!! Needs serious improvement in that department!! Way overpriced food and drinks! Food was average at best (needs improvement). Some items were cold!!! A larger pitcher of mimosas should be left on the table!!! Waste of time and energy to have just ONE server running like a chicken without a head trying to keep up with multiple tables. With only a 60 minute window to brunch.... WTF Most brunches everywhere are 90 minutes!!! Set the tables up from the jump so costumers don't have to ask for water, ice, napkins, condiments and as mentioned at least ONE large pitcher vs the small carafe for a table of SIX!! Having to ask for every small detail was unacceptable and she still forgot some things! Music appeals to the young crowd - at moments a bit too ratchet, crunk, twerking music and mumble rap. A few songs is reasonable but after a while come on, play some old school hip hop, Motown, soulful HOUSE, soul classics too!!! Parking is challenging in the area! Thankfully we happened to get lucky with a spot across the street. My suggestion is to go early! We enjoyed ourselves before it started to get too crowded. $392 for a group of 6 - brunch and mimosas includes tip

This was the only serving they gave us for 4 people to sample.. then we didn't get anymore after this. So sad.

Came here for a "free tasting" event that they were hosting so that people could try their menu items... I didn't have much expectations going in since the description they gave for the event was pretty vague. Upon entering, they told us (we were a group of 4) that we'd be trying a sampler of each item on their menu and that if we wanted to buy the normal size portion or drinks, we had the option to. They also told us that we would get a tour of the venue after our samplers. We sat down and the waiter gave us samplers (x2) of a few of the appetizers. This wasn't even all of the appetizers that they had on the menu. The menu had about 12 appetizers and atleast 15+ main entree items. We got to try around 5 of the appetizers on the menu. After we finished the 1st set of samples, we were expecting them to come back to give us different menu items next. Our tables were cleared and our waters stayed filled but every time we flagged someone down to ask about more samples, they just said "we'll get you a few more soon" or "it just comes out randomly". WE WAITED NEARLY 1 HOUR FOR MORE SAMPLES AND NEVER GOT MORE AFTER THE 1ST ROUND PICTURED!!! We watched as other tables were getting a few more here and there but they kept dismissing our table even though we kept asking different servers. Maybe it was because we didn't buy anything??? But this was advertised as a FREE tasting and they told us that we'd be trying the whole menu so we sat down with that expectation!!!! It felt like they bait and switched us and then started ignoring us after we didn't order anything extra because we only got to try a few items. Maybe we would have ordered food if we got to try what they tasted like since that was the purpose of the event??? Also, I want to mention that they are overpriced. Their menu is giving Manhattan prices. $20 for a cocktail. After we didn't want to wait anymore, we decided to do the tour since we were already there. We got a tour of the venue (given to us by the owner) which was really nice and spacious. I must say the venue is very big and gives speakeasy vibes. They are 420 friendly and allow smoking on the upper level/outside patio area. There was a bar underground and a hookah lounge on the upper level. The venue itself was the only positive thing about this entire experience. At the end of the tour, we asked if they had any papers. They took forever getting us papers and then when they finally brought it out to us, they charged us $5 for a half used pack of papers.... Like seriously?? We sat down on the outside back patio trying to roll up and one of the staff came up to me and told me I couldn't sit on the table outside. Then they kept coming up to us and giving us menus to buy bottles and being pushy about the menu. We hadn't planned on staying so this made me really annoyed and uncomfortable. The place and owner is sleazy and grimey. I will only come back if someone else is paying for me. Otherwise, hell no!!!!!

However, after trying their brunch, I am 100% coming back for dinner! Everything we ordered was incredibly good and well seasoned. The biggest question then became, where to go? We needed a place that was relatively easy to get to that would hold close to 100 people. Jungly was a contender for several reasons - it's location, size, vibe, and menu all seemed to check off. It also helped that I had done business with the owner previously at one of his other spots. It seemed like the natural choice, so I went ahead with the booking. Jungly is located in LIC - it's a pretty convenient spot as its close to the LIRR and the subway. Parking can be a challenge, but luckily I found a spot only a block away. The space itself is nicely set up - walking in you're immediately greeted by the bar area with dining areas both to the left and the right. Due to our size, they closed the place to the public and we were able to freely roam the bar area and one of the dining rooms. In addition to standard tables, they have some lounge space and high tops by the bar. The vibe is somewhat modern - a black/grey color scheme paired with neon and golds. It looks like the space could easily be converted to a club-like atmosphere. Since we were here for a private event, the food was set up buffet style - we chose three apps, four mains, and two sides. Ultimately, for apps we chose pita bread with dips, steak tacos, and shrimp tacos. For mains we chose fried chicken sliders, smashed beef sliders, cacio e pepe, and roasted chicken. For sides, we got fries and Brussels sprouts. In general, all of the food was tasty; the strongest dishes were the tacos, fries, and the chicken tacos. The tacos were generously filled, the fries were the crispy skin style, and the chicken sliders were nice and crispy. The weakest for me was the cacio e pepe - not much flavor and just not really a standout IMO. My communication with management to set up the event were a little staccato, though in the end everything worked out. For the most part, my communication with them was consistent in the days leading up to the event. Service the night of the event was overall good - they were very accessible but I found that they could have replenished the food a little faster in response to the rate it was being taken from the buffet. The bar, on the other hand, was great - both in service and variety of liquor available. Overall, we had a great event at Jungly. They were professional, fair, and delivered on the goods. I would definitely consider hosting another event there, or dine here on my own.

The bartender, the one person who should be welcoming and engaging, came across as rude and lacked any charisma. On a Friday night, good energy behind the bar makes a huge difference, and that was completely missing. I ordered a margarita, which is one of the simplest and most common cocktails to make. I asked for it really sweet with plenty of salt on the rim. Instead, it came out barely sweet and with almost no salt. For a $17 margarita, I expected much better. I've had to return the drink because I've had better margaritas for $12 at other places. While waiting for my friend, I had to wait with a glass of water because I didn't trust the way they made the drink. The bartender told me I either needed to order another drink or move, which felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. To be fair, the food was good and the space itself is nice. However, the bar service left a very poor impression. There are plenty of more affordable places where the staff are friendly and make guests feel welcome.
