Very cool vibe! Unique interior design, a little more character than the average Italian restaurant. Let's get to the drinks! Fantastic Old Fashions, we also nibbled on the arancini, also great. The customer service was lovely, very attentive. For more go to @the_foodservations on instagram

    Wine by the glass list

I stumbled upon Bar Felice while trying to go to another wine bar across the street. That didn't work out well, but I was already in the area so I went searching for another wine bar that was open and would be for at least an hour longer, as UES is notorious for closing early in comparison to other areas of Manhattan. Felice, the restaurant, was closing in 25 minutes but they showed us to Bar Felice. I loved the decor for the most part. It had a great loungey feel, good for dates or even drinks with friends. My only problem with the decor was the TV playing sports games... Not that I'm against that in other places, but it didn't fit with the vibe of the bar at all. The wine list was okay. Not fantastic, but good in a pinch. They had one or two interesting bottles and some wines by the glass. When I asked for a taste of a wine by the glass, the waiter brought it out in a stemless glass and must have seen the look of utter horror on my face because when we finally ordered wine, we got glasses with stems. The stemmed glass was a relief. Overall, it's a pretty nice place. I am not dying to come back or anything considering all the fantastic wine options in the city, but I would if I was in the area with some time to kill.

This is definitely one of the nicest, coolest and most relaxed bars I have been to in New York City, in my six months of living here. Being a fan of dive bars, I sincerely enjoy a dimly lit place with great drinks....Bar Felice doesn't disappoint in that regard, while also not being a dive whatsoever. The decor is a combination of Italian cafe with a hint of classic bar. Featuring a wide array of speciality beverages, including their seasonal Apple Cider martini (DELICIOUS) and the Lucchese (ginger ale and brown sugar? Yes please,) the opportunities are endless and all extremely delicious. The general manager of Felice, a very nice Italian gentleman called Michele, ensures that the experience is great and will go above and beyond to be confident that your visit is perfect. This spot also has televisions, so you can enjoy a great game and munch on some great fried artichokes.....can't wait to visit here again.

My friends had the espresso martini which was tasty but a bit sweet for my taste. I had the beer and a shot, which, though the beer was a bit small, was a great beer for the deal. The vibes were lively, definitely where you go when you are trying to have a good time. It was a bit loud and probably night time is not a place you want to take a date, but more for friends and going out. Overall though, a great place and find and I would come again.

We got seated in the back by another bar area, which was nice because it ended up being a little quieter. The vibe here was cool, lots of brick and wood ceilings, felt sort of old-timey nautical. They had a happy hour going on, but it was limited to just a few cocktails. We didn't get a special menu for it, but heard the server talking about it with another table. I got a gin and tonic, which came with two flavor options, and my boyfriend got the Golden hour. We both liked our drinks and would've tried more if we didn't already have plans.

Louis and company treated us to such a wonderful time on Wednesday evening that we immediately made a reservation for Saturday (the Knicks victory did not hurt). The food is phenomenal -- absolutely loved the tagliatelle ala fungi and the orchiette with sausage, though everything was amazing. Do not leave without getting the bread pudding (and I'm not a dessert person at all). The service is absolutely aces. I can't believe how wonderful everyone was to a large group of scatterbrained (and rowdy) basketball fans. Cannot recommend a game-watching spot more highly -- rather than throw elbows in a sweaty bar, enjoy some delicious wine and pasta in a lovely, comfortable space (still plenty celebratory). I'll finish by saying that a week ago, before I went to Altamirano's and met Louis, the Knicks were not NBA champions. After I went to Altamirano's and met Louis, the Knicks ARE NBA champions -- coincidence? I think not!

I went to this Italian restaurant with one of the many groups I attend dinners with. The staff was…read morefriendly, and the atmosphere was nice, with plenty of people inside along with our large group. The menu isn't the largest, but they gave a long list of specials on a separate menu. The specials don't have their price listed, which made it a bit awkward ordering, as I asked about a bunch of the main dishes, which were all apparently $50 to $60. In terms of drinks, we split a large selection of BYOB as per the group. I decided to go with an appetizer and pasta. However, in retrospect, I probably should have gotten the Branzino Alla Livornese, or another fish dish as my main dish, or skipped the appetizer entirely and ordered one of the expensive fish dishes. My appetizer was the pretty good Polpette for $14, listed as homemade meatballs, tomato sauce, and shaved parmesan cheese. This came with several small soft meatballs with a decently flavored tomato sauce. I slightly prefer other spots, which gave larger meatballs as they have more texture, but they were fine, and the number of them makes it so you can split this dish. This was good enough. My main dish, rather regrettably, was the $26.95 Tagliatelle Ai Funghi with shiitake, cremini, portobello, oysters, and marsala wine. The portion was decent, and the pasta was decently cooked, though slightly soft for my liking. There was a good amount of mushrooms, which paired well with the very typical wine sauce, but there was another major issue with said sauce. The dish contained many sprigs of charred aromatics mixed among the sauce and mushrooms, which were presumably thyme, judging by the earthy aftertaste. The charred pieces overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the sauce and the pasta, also having a very unappetizing texture. It wasn't like it was just large pieces that could be easily picked out, so I occasionally got an overly earthy and bitter bite. I would have brought this up with the waitstaff, but they were very overwhelmed, so eventually I stopped eating. This place had friendly staff, and many other dishes looked tasty. However, I didn't have the best dining experience.

The one thing that stood out for us was how the staff and patrons all interacted like a family. The wait staff had a true camaraderie and seemed to interact with each other like an well-oiled machine who truly cared about their jobs, the patrons, and one another! How refreshing. As for drinks and food, you likely can't go wrong with any of their menu selections. "Must try" items include the Lemon Dahl -- a.k.a. yellow lentils (trust me; get this) -- the Chicken Tikka, and Seekh Kabab (ground lamb). But every dish we saw come out to nearby tables looked yummy!! I can't wait to go back and try even more dishes! The interior is eclectic and feels cozy! It's easy to hit both in an afternoon because they're around the corner from each other. They're both elevated in every way but have a real residential feel to them. Nothing better than a spot where you see locals hanging out. Our beautiful wives had the idea to find a nice place to grab an afternoon snack and cocktail and decided on trying out the Mark Bar first They were able to score bar seats so we had the perfect spot for afternoon fun. The coolest thing about the Mark Bar was something we've never seen in a bar. Many had their dogs with them in the bar. It was a nice treat for us since we love pups. Every designer breed you can imagine was enjoying the beautiful space with their people. Another nice touch was the gourmet hot chocolate and chili dog cart they had stationed on the sidewalk outside next to the hotel entrance. We regrettably passed on the chili dog, but had their prize winning hot cocoa. So good!!! The Mark Bar is chic and warm. It oozes stylish and loungy. We struck up a number of friendly discussions with folks around us when one of our crew thought they lost their phone at the bar. Everyone dropped what they were doing to help us look for it. Good thing she found it in her back pocket. Of course the people watching on the Upper East Side is spectacular and it didn't disappoint. Everyone was as friendly as they were dressed to the nines. The cocktail shot is a Negroni. What a great afternoon. These are a must during your next NYC visit. Salute @thejohnnycoxktail
