I went shopping here with a friend who was looking for a dress. When we got in the store, we didn't know where to start. There is no real organization to the store that I could see. There was the same ugly top placed throughout the store. It is the type of store where you tell them what you are looking for and what size and they walk to a hanging section that feels unorganized and pull stuff out for you to try on. The woman who helped us started out very nice until she found out how much money my friend wanted to spend, around $150.00. They aparrantly don't have any dresses less than $225.00. My friend said that she wanted to try on some dresses. Aparantly the merchandise they carry is "European". The woman working said it several times. These were very plain dresses for how much they cost, there was nothing great about them. I am sure if you are willing to spend $$$ they would be really helpful but we felt like we got the brush-off. My friend's mom swears by this store and loves shopping here. I guess it depends on what kind of shopping experience you like. If you like to browse, forget it. You would get lost in the merchandise. read more

Went for a mother of the groom gown. Had been to several stores that all had about the same dresses. This store had some different dresses. I had no problem with the staff. I paid in full & took the gown with me without incident. Only a 3 because they are independent with their business hours. The dressing area is small & warm. If I could give negative stars I would. My sister and my mother went shopping here for a mother of the bride dress. My mother is a size 18 in formal wear. The helper not only insisted that she wear a 20 or 22, but said very loud and obnoxiously "We don't have anything in YOUR size." in front of about a dozen or so customers. Just found a great pair of earrings for my son's wedding. Went there a few months ago looking for a dress but had ordered one online that I really liked. The earrings were a great price compared to some that I've seen online. It is a small independently owned shop. The owner is a lovely lady and knows her stuff since she's been in the business a very long time. The hours aren't like other chain stores so that's why 4 stars. They have jewelry and also shoes if looking for a Special event. There is also a large parking lot. It has never been crowded when there so you can get some personalized service. Update to this review. I just came back from a jeweler. I went there to get new backings for the earrings i purchased. I wanted to make sure they wouldn't fall off when dancing. I was told they were platinum/sapphire when i bought them. I was just informed they were silver and most likely colored glass because the little stones were not diamonds. I still think they were pretty and will keep them because they look good w the dress but they are not what i was sold or told they were. Went here for a last minute formal. Very little in my size (4) but the one i tried fit perfectly. No one offered to help me until I asked if I could try some on that I selected. I think they looked at me a little down because i came in jeans and sneakers. I too was not allowed to try in ones that they didn't think were appropriate for the affair I was going to. I was about to buy some earrings but they broke when she went to take them off the card (don't know why she needed to take it off the card) Even though I loved the dress I purchased. It was crazy humid and hot in there IT DARK!!! *the owner never said hello to us or greeted us in any way shape or form or said I'll be right with you There was a group of older folks who was checking out and the owner seemed to be all buddy buddy with them laughing and smiling after they left she never said hello or can I help u *they literally only had a handful of size 16 dresses maybe less *we waited there for a good while and nothing! Do not even consider the negative reviews on this place My sister and I have shopped here for years and each one of the dresses or pieces of clothing is unique and well-made and worth every penny. Mary the owner has a knack for knowing what looks good on you. She is a high-end quality shopper/owner. He has been to Mani design shows in fashion shows in New York City and has mingled with the best in the business I 100% guarantee you will be highly satisfied with what you pick and the tailoring that is done to make it to fit you perfectly. I purchased two dresses last August one for a wedding and then I wore the second one to my grandson's baptism. I received so many compliments on the quality and beauty of these dresses. I know I had two children who are getting married in 2021 when September and one in October and I just found Mary to make an appointment to come back and purchase two additional dresses for these weddings I am sure I will not be disappointed. This is the worst store I've ever been to. Horrible ugly old grandma dresses. The sales ladies are so slow and incredibly rude. And on top of that, they don't let you take photos. What if you are a mother of a bride and the bride lives out of state? I would imagine most brides would like to see what their mothers are wearing to their wedding. I haven't been to this store in YEARS but something came up and had me wondering if they were still around, and I started reading the reviews. I had purchased 3 dresses from them through the years. I am a small size and dress modern, and has found dresses perfect for the occasions I was looking for. They only carry a dress in 1 or 2 sizes so it is rare someone will have on your same dress at your event, which I like. I do remember the sales women were older, and do not allow you to just grab on dresses and try on. They more hand pick them for you and you must come out of the dressing room to view in the mirror, having them involved in your decision. This all can be good or bad depending if you like help finding a dress or prefer to be left alone to shop. My dresses were good quality and classic styles. I still have them today. The shoes I bought there were not worth the price though and fell apart just sitting in my closet. read more

The owner carries beautifully made dresses. She does seemstres work on the premises. She knows fabrics & body types. I read the distasteful comments. Those rude comments should shop else where. You don't understand what you're looking at. Silk threads & textiles with incredible colors and embossed. She has impeccable taste. I shouldn't even give this store a star since my friend and I didn't even get in the store. It advertises hrs. on Tuesday from 12-5. We arrived at 3:55 to locked doors. I had read other reviews which weren't good. But I decided to give it a try. Well the negative reviews must be right. Thank goodness a store called FootLights on 248 in Nazareth was close. Went there had wonderful service even though they were quite busy with prom clients. My friend is looking for a Mother of the Bride dress. read more

One star is too good of a rating for this store. I went to this store with my mother to shop for a mother of the bride dress for my wedding and had a terrible experience. Not only were the women rude, but they made several snide comments about my mothers size and would declare loudly, "oh you need a larger size!" when something didn't fit. Then I brought a red dress over for my mother to try which was promptly taken out of my hands by one of the saleswomen. Both my mother and I asked that she be allowed to try it on, but the woman was insistent that a mother of the bride should never wear red so there was no point in trying it on. My mother then asked nicely if she wouldn't mind her just trying it to look at the style and the woman responded, "I do mind!!! You're not trying it!" Needless to say, our fun afternoon was totally ruined and my mother was very upset and hurt, not to mention angry. I have never experienced anything like this and will never be going back there. Verified they'd be open, took time off work, doors were locked and no one answered the phone. Left messages and waited 30 minutes, still nothing. Never again. Beware.....I was ripped off! Purchased a gown after trying on several and the owner, who can be very rude, brought me a gown without a price tag. It also had a jacket that was very plain. When I checked out, I believe the price was inflated and not close to the price of the others I tried. I opted to purchase it any way and was told to leave it and come back later for a fitting. Why, when I paid in full, wasn't I "allowed" to take it with me? After getting a recommendation from a friend to not have them alter, I picked up my gown and took it to a seamstress. I was shocked when I tried the gown on! It was not the gown I purchased! It was similar, but did not have the original jacket! The jacket was ornate and nothing like the one I originally selected! To make matters worse, my seamstress showed me several places where it had previously been altered! I called the shop and was made to feel like I was insane and told that it indeed was what I had selected. And, told there are no returns or exchanges! I feel that my original purchase was swapped out for something that was worn before! I should have known better. The store smells and is not heated. In fact, I had to kick a stink bug out of the dressing room! NEVER trust this store! I was taken advantage of and cheated! read more

I decided to go to Partridge because several friends recommended it. It was to my advantage to have read the negative comments because I was prepared for the experience. I feel the shop would better serve customers if they had an employee specifically assigned to greet people since upon entering shop you are on your own. The manager/owner (Mary) is usually busy at the dressing rooms assisting customers. The only way I knew where to begin looking for dresses was because another customer told me how to go about the process. This is a very, very large store with a huge inventory of lovely, classy dresses and gowns. The intial service is lacking but once dresses are selected and you are ready to try them on the service improves. The dresses are one of a kind, in one size only, one color...not cookie cutter. The end result of the search for a special dress is well worth the lack of initial hospitality. It is what it is! My suggestion to you is to schedule an appointment. Ask for Mary. read more
