This bike shop (Action Wheels) is by far absolutely the best bike shop I've ever been to. As a annual bike rider, I've learned that bike shops tru make and sustain your bike. For the longest time, this was the only bike shop I knew about. Or it was the closest one to me, so convenience won out (no longer true, since Cutters on the Southside is just a few blocks downhill from me now). But it was there, and I got great service from the shop. I'm no super bike enthusiast, so my bike knowledge is pretty scant. So I have come here for all my bike repair and maintenance needs. They've fixed the cone bearings on my rear wheel, replaced a kinked brake cable, and did a full tune-up for me at a very reasonable cost. But mostly, I've come here to adjust my derailleurs, which go out of whack every now and then - they never charge anything for that. I also bought my bike rack and a few other items from here. All in all, these guys really know what they're doing and offer great advice. From what I've seen, Action Wheels definitely caters more to the BMX stunt crowd than the road-bike or mountain-bike riders. So you should take that into consideration if you're a serious rider in the latter two categories. read more

I have a 30 year old Schwinn with an odd wheel size. was told by an employee at a big chain shop which I won't name that these tires and rims were no longer available. went to action wheels on recommendation of a neighbor. they gave me several options and solutions. within 72 hours, my bike was fixed and runs like new. read more

I love this shop. The guys are very friendly along with their fur baby greeters. I bought two bikes here and a bike rack. There was no pressure, they listened to my needs and made matches that work great for me. They are very knowledgeable and share their knowledge freely. We are out -of-owners looking to rent bike to rude the Bethlehem Historic Heritage Trail. The staff was courteous and helpful, even providing a quick lesson on operating the bikes for us. Helmets were also provided as well as edgy directions to the trail along the Monocacy Creek. The bike rode well and we had a great time using them. read more

Ever since the original owner sold the shop the shop has declined in service and hospitality. Bike shop staff was rude & did a horrible service. When asked will they service the bike if buying parts he replied if it's easy I'll do it, on top of that I had to wait 15 minutes in the shop at the register while the two staff were just bullshiting together until I said hello. Then held my bike for almost a week for a simple repair. Then priced me at $30 when I dropped it off and when I picked up the bike he change the price to double that. Then the bike was horribly repaired and they raised the seat all the way up as far as it goes and tighten it to the point the bolt snapped. I purchased the parts I needed to do it myself and they sold me the wrong parts knowing they did so they can get more money until the point I just let them repair it. Then kept my spare screws and parts. Also cut my brand new grips when it wasn't needed. Being somewhat into cycling as I am, I've been to several bike shops in the area. Of what I've seen, this one of the best. I've taken my bike here on several occasions to get it tuned up, fixed, or for whatever cycling accoutrement I might need. The service has always been speedy and efficient. There has only been one time that I've had to bring my bike back there to fix a problem a second time. What happened was that I my front tire went flat for some reason that I wasn't aware of. I brought it in, and they replaced the tube. I went out, rode it, and the tire wen flat again. Long story short, they overlooked a tiny sliver of metal that was jabbing into the tube. Thankfully, though, they removed the shard and the inner tube at no extra charge. While they have great service, they also have a really nice selection of equipment. They carry just about every style of bike that would make sense. They also have nice selection of just about everything you need for your bike. The selection of goods isn't the thing that makes it good. The service is what makes this place great. read more

This shop has amazing employees and great mechanics. They are knowledgeable and extremely well priced. They have the best bmx selection in the valley by far but they are not just a bmx shop. I bough a masi bike for the D&l trail that they custom fit for me and it's the most comfortable bike I have ever owned. Awesome shop can not say enough good things about them read more

I recently bought a gravel bike online and needed help to get the fit right. The team at action wheels were super helpful and professional. They changed the stem and handlebars to get the reach and posture just the way that I wanted it to be. Additionally, I found pedals and bar tape from their stock that suited me. The bike fits me perfectly now and I'm very happy with it. My background is in road cycling and this was my first trail style bike. The team is really knowledgeable and explained all the fitting options to me so that I could make an informed choice. This bike shop is one of the best in the valley. The staff is always super polite and very knowledgeable. I was recently in to have my bike serviced and to upgrade a few components that had been neglected. After talking with larry for a few minutes he explained to me that what I want to do wasnt very practical for the bike I brought in. I was advised to just do the necessary repairs to bring it back to road worthiness. I was very impressed that he didnt try to bend me over with unnecessary costs or parts. I was so impressed I ended up purchasing a new bike as well as the few repairs to my current.
