They also upcharge parts by 400%, stay away. On top of all that they have the audacity to tack on a sir charge. As far as speed they are terrible. Had me in and out in an hour and everyone was very personable. I asked for a general inspection and oil change and they managed to find things that the local dealership hadn't in nearly two years; going above and beyond to make sure everything was double checked and taken care of. Mechanic even went ahead and took care of grease points, tire pressure, and other little odds and ends I wouldn't have recalled to ask for. He also would double back with me to inform me about things he found and recommended getting serviced and/or replaced, showing me the proof of why and offering options. I ended up giving him the go ahead on everything. It was nice to feel involved and informed every step of the process while knowing exactly who was working on my car. They didn't even mind that I just hung around nearby while the work was done, which shows a distinct level of confidence and trustworthiness. Would definitely recommend!

So this is probably the best place and one of the cheapest place to find used parts for your car. $1 to rent a wheel barrow. Bring your tools and you're ready to go hunting. Just go through rows and rows and rows of cars that they have on the lot. We were looking for wheels and a rear hatch switch for my chevy blazer. The wheels were pretty easy to find. $40/wheel is a very good deal. Specially when I'm just swapping the tires out for winter treads. The switch was a bit harder to find. I felt like we searched each and every one of the same car or similar til we found one that has the clips still intact. Anyways,, for less than $200,, I walked away with a good switch and four rims for my chevy blazer, and I'm definitely a happy camper. I'll probably be coming back again next time for other items. I really feel the happiest when I'm doing things that give me a sense of accomplishment in the end. David apologized and cleared my check engine light and asked me to call back. In the meantime the check engine light came on again confirming I had a bad oxygen sensor. I had purchased my own parts and was ready for the installation. When David and I next talked he offered to come to my house pick up my car and take it back to the shop to fix the problem. David came to my house and repaired the car and brought it back. Wow what service! The price he charged me for the labor was very fair and lower than any other bids I had obtained. Despite the early appointment issue David more than made up for it with his kind offer. The car runs fine and David gave me the old parts verifying the replacement. The dealership wanted me to make an appointment to come back and pay them $170.00 for a diagnosis. I told them that I believed some clips needed to be replaced and could I buy the clips from them and I would fix it myself ? The service agent said they did not sell the clips, but, they could sell me an entirely new trim piece that included the clips for $1000.00, plus labor if I wanted them to put it on. I declined. The next week I stopped at a body shop and got an estimate for $700.00. Crazy high for what I thought could be a simple fix. I declined. Later that month I was looking for a salvage part for mother's car. She needed a bumper after being victimized by a hit and run driver. I stopped by T&M Salvage just off Michigan Ave and met Simon and Shean. I found they do body work as well as sell auto parts so I had them check out my car and they gave me a very reasonable price to fix it. I took my car in and Shean worked on it for less than 20 minutes, installing 3 new clips. BOOM DONE !!!! EASY PEASY !!!! I am soooo impressed with Simon & Shean. It is so nice and refreshing to meet real, down to earth men, who possess the intelligence to fix things !!! Especially after dealing with techs, who can only replace parts for $$$$ and can fix nothing !!!! I'd never been to this place before. I brought my vehicle in for an issue and received a callback…read morethe same day. I was optimistic about the speedy response until the person on the phone quoted me a price. It was much, much higher than I'd ever paid for a simple repair. But, my auto knowledge is limited. I assumed the parts needed must've been expensive. I agreed, and after several days (apparently they were having trouble getting a part) my vehicle was ready. When I arrived to pick it up I looked through the receipt before paying to find that the bulk of the cost was actually labor. The labor cost was nearly 3x the cost of the parts needed. On top of that the final cost was nearly $150 more than what I was quoted over the phone! I will say that the issue with my vehicle was fixed. So, apparently they do competent work. That's the only reason I didn't give a lower rating. However, I won't be going back. This interaction did teach me a lesson, though. In future I will ask about labor costs upfront as I'm sure I could've gotten this repair done for a much more reasonable price at a shop that charges much more reasonable rates for labor. I would advise anyone thinking of getting auto repair work done at this place to be wary and prepared for the cost.
