Terrible location. Employees incompetent...can't even keep pre-ordered balloons together and keep track of them. There was no apology when they messed up my order. When I came to pick up my order balloons and other items were missing after I was already charged for them. Every time that I come to this store there is no personnel to help you in the isles or in the register! they always have one person on the register! Most of the time they are all doing balloons! That is insane! How can like 5 people do balloons and the rest of the store be without attention! Therefore your time on the line to pay takes forever. You gotta love a place like this. If you are throwing a party or going to one or just need to try on some hats so you can join a super secret society, this is the go to place. This party city just moved a block south to a newer shopping center so it's still very organized and clean and all that. The staff is super friendly and will help you in any way possible. I didn't know that party supplies are so expensive but I guess you have to pay the cost to be the party boss. read more

Hooooly Sheeite I must be an oldtimer like George M Last week I went driving south on Biscayne looking for this joint in the center just north of where it is now, because the store in Aventura didn't have the size of costume that I wanted. It wasn't at it's old spot so I turned around and went home thinking it was just another victim of the rough economy. Today, driving north on Biscayne I see this orange and black HALLOWEEN sign and screeeeeeeced to a halt and swung a left into the car park. At first I thought this was one of those Halloween pop up shops, then after a couple of aisles of horror we got into baby shower stuff and I was thinking to myself...hey, there's something going on here... Yes...it is a fully decked out Party City!!!!! OMG with a totally awesome freaking CANDY AISLE!!!! Its like the Ying to the Total wine and Spirits (just down the road a ways) Yang. Put the two together and throw in a little potluck and you have the shazamm of a party :) I love it. It's big, and well stocked and beautiful and holy shit....could it be just Halloween or are the staff just freakishly AWESOME??? Every aisle had someone asking people " can I help you find something?" I got my sons much besotted costume here...within five minutes of asking. Plus the accessory he needed. I usually stick to restaurants and bars for reviews, but I was really impressed with the Party City staff the other night, so I thought I'd give them some Yelp love! I got out of work late, but wanted to run to Party City to grab some maracas and maybe some beads for the Yelp event at Lime for a pre-Cinco de Mayo fiesta. I got there about 5 minutes after they closed, but they still had one person checking out at the register. When the employee opened the door to let them out, I asked if I could come in and get a few Cinco de Mayo themed things I saw in the window. She let me in and rang me up without any kind of attitude. It was so nice because I've experienced the glares from employees when you come in as they're closing. I used to give the glare when I worked retail. I know it well. She didn't have it. She was pleasant, and I got beads, a flower for my hair, and maracas for 6 bucks. Score! I've been to this Party City before, and the store is always clean. Halloween is probably the only time I avoid these places like the plague. read more

Party City.... It sure is as big as a city. Or at least it has enough stuff to go around at every party in our city. Whatever you need for a party, you can and will find it here. Balloons galore. Serving trays and pans. There's birthday decorations but also engagement, wedding, baby, graduation and everything-else celebration party stuff. A great deal of thought was placed into organizing this party emporium. Items are placed in such a way that you're not traveling all over this humongous building to get what you need for your aunt's 60th birthday party. All the birthday decorations are in one place, all the baby shower stuff has a designated aisle, etc. It's awesome! You can walk in, go directly to the section that has what you need for your event, head to the checkout and go home. When it's the morning of the big day and you can't find the friggin' tongs for the friggin' finger foods and Cousin It forgot to order the damn balloons (!!!), Party City makes it easy to keep the party going. Party City also has great coupons if you've signed up on their email list. Those $5 off coupons can sure come in handy. read more

We always come here to fill the goody bags for my son's annual Florida birthday party. The staff here is always accommodating, cordial and nice. They asked if I needed anything and were very attentive. My only beef is that online they sell Handy Manny party favors. No where online did it mention that's the only place it was available. My son adors Manny and so does his cousin. We wanted to have a Handy Manny themed party. They don't sell it in this particular store or any in the area, only online. Otherwise if you need anything for a party they have just about anything you need from parties of ten people and the availability to buy in bulk. Welcome to the motherload of party supplies. They have regalia for every type of festivity. Seriously. I saw everything from Scooby-Doo ears to oversized margarita glasses--perfect for the next time you want to have a Scooby-Doo viewing party with libations. I'm sure, like most people, I could never find a purpose for 98.2 percent of the stuff here, but the good news is the other 1.8 percent fits my party-throwing needs: tablecloths, paper plates, party hats, favors and candy. OMG there's enough candy to rot the entire Aventura populations' teeth. Sure things are hard to find because there is so much stuff to distract you, but the staff is very, very helpful. Today it was busy on account of it being New Years Eve, yet I found the staff friendly, welcoming, and able to handle the pre-holiday rush. In particular, one employee named Ashley was incredibly friendly, talkative, and really was everything you look for in a great employee. Perception is everything and this girl smiled and was super kind. Sometimes a rarity in Miami. Great job, give Ashley a raise because she deserves it. read more

Came in looking for a gender reveal balloon and all the stores I called had either one or the other. I was trying to keep it a secret so needed both and have the employees fill it up without me knowing which one it was. I was so disappointed to see that this store indeed only had the pink available even though online it said they had both. However, the store general manager went above and beyond to try and help me out! And he found a bag full of blue confetti that matches the balloon perfectly!!! Filled up the balloon for me (with their emergency helium supply because they were apparently out since Saturday) ! That absolutely made my day! The manager was amazing at problem solving the screw ups of the cashier..there were about 3 wrong charges on my receipt. The cashier definitely did not look like she wanted to be there, or have a job for that matter. Her customer service was terrible. came here today and MAAANNNN was there a halloween rush! i was gonna try on a cute alice in wonderland costume but forget about it. a person has to take a number for the employee to get the costume off the wall. but i digress. this place is perfect for any occasion not just halloween. i'm a big party person so i love that this place has a big selection of things for EVERY celebration. the prices are decent and the staff members that work the floor are extremely patient. i immediately got good service from an employee after they had to assist a customer with three screaming brats. the cashiers up front could be a little more friendly, though. they tend to just want to hurry the line along and not really care about customer satisfaction. so, except for that one minor detail, i will be shopping here more often. read more
