This store has received a face lift since I lasted visited. I cannot recall when that was, but upon walking in, I noticed the sign, grand re-opening. I thought.. hmph! Well now I see!! I love the new look!! I have only visited this location twice within the past few months, and on each visit they had everything I needed including helium. I cannot say this for all locations, but I am rocking with this one. The employees are friendly and eager to assist. I love it here! Parking - plentiful. CURBSIDE pick up is the jam! Especially during the holidays like Halloween. If I needed or forgotten about an accessory for the costumes we've already picked out then curbside is for you! I hate going in the store with kids and then they see ALL the other options for costumes and next thing you know....they now want to be Mini Mouse instead of the original Ariel costume they begged for last week LOL. I haven't been in a Party City in a really long time. It is very different, less stuff than before. They really cut down to the basics. The place has a more minimalist, clean atmosphere. I was looking for invites for my Sister's baby shower. They didn't have any, but they did have a variety of balloons and costumes. The place was organized and the layout was nice. It was really hot inside, so I couldn't stay too long. I think the staff was nice, I didn't have a chance to interact with them. They were very busy with the balloon service. Prices are the same. Stopped by for a few things for my granny's 91st bday. The store looked pretty empty. There were lots of customers though coming in and out. There was one cashier & one person working on balloons. The lines for each were not clear, so it caused lots of confusion for some. The prices are kind of high, so you may want to check out the Dollar Tree first. $7 for a Birthday button is a bit much for the quality, but we still got it. I'm of the mindset that too much of anything is not a great thing. No doubt you will find what you're looking for, if you look hard enough, and then some. Upon entry, you'll see the cash wrap and balloons to your right and seasonal items to your left. Everything else requires you to walk down very cluttered, very long aisles, which are narrowly spaced so it is impossible to see all the way to the end (much like I do at the grocery store to find the aisle you need). I came in looking for 2nd birthday items and found what I was looking for. But it was all, especially balloons, considerably more expensive than shopping online. A deflated balloon garland here runs $35-55. And that doesn't include the pump which is another $30. On Amazon - garlands run around $15 and pumps around $20. I ended up buying one birthday candle for $2 at this store and bought everything else online. This is a good option for party-shoppers who want to buy in person, but it just isn't the place for a claustrophobic, type-A human who does most of their shopping online. read more

I was very pleased with the service at this Party City location. All of the associates were polite and very attentive. When I couldn't find what I was looking for, I found an associate (on 2 different occasions) in one of the aisles working. They were more than happy to stop what they were doing to guide me through the store to find what I needed. Additionally, my balloon order was ready on time and placed in large bags for easy carrying. The young man who bagged my order was also very polite and very willing to help his fellow associate who seemed to struggle a bit with another ballon order. Well, the following day we put it in the car and my daughter opened the door not knowing her balloon was inside and it flew away. The store clerk at the Volvo location was so amazing and patient as I went back and forth trying to determine which balloons I wanted to purchase for my mom the day before Valentine's Day. Although, they were almost sold out; he helped me sort through the items that were left to select a beautiful arrangement of balloons. They were offering a promotion on the smaller heart shaped balloons for Valentine's Day that I took full advantage of. I had a coupon but it was expired. If you have a valid coupon I recommend bringing it along because who doesn't love to save a few coins. Also, delivery was complimentary if you live within the local vicinity of the Volvo store. They use Shipt for there delivery service. The Shipt driver was nice as well she called once the order was picked up to let me know she was in route. read more

I like most people have been going to Party City for many years. Maybe not everyday, but a few times a year. I go especially when there are items that it I need for my daughter's birthday party. On October the 2nd I went in the Party City on Volvo pkwy and got some items for my daughter's birthday party. When I went to pay, I forgot to say that I'm a Veteran. I told the young man who was ringing me up that I forgot about Veterans discount. I said this as I was being handed back my change, I had paid in cash that time. I asked him if he could give me my discount. He said NO! Said that the MANAGER told them that if the customer didn't ask for the Veterans discount, don't bring it up. I have been to another popular grocery store that gives Veterans their discount on the 1st and 15th of the month. Last time I went to that grocery store, I had to use the self checkout and forgot about the discount until I went outside. I went back in and they gave me my money. If the grocery store can do that, why can't Party City?? I think this guy didn't want to? Or was lazy? Or maybe gave himself the discount? I don't know. What I do know is that I don't want to go to a store that doesn't want to give me my Veterans discount. I'm the one who served, not him. I'll take my money to someplace else. read more

There was a great sale here today, soooo glad I came here. My son's 4th birthday is on the 22nd. They are discontinuing the Diego birthday theme merchandise..75% off everything Diego. I basically bought it all out. However, when I got to the counter, it took a good 5-7 minutes before anyone came out. I did have to say, "hello?", So when the lady got there and I said hello, how are you?, can you believe she completely ignored me? Yeah, I'm a bit boiling inside. There are always at least four people visibly working, I mean ON DUTY. Out of the four, there's only one on the register. Two linger; One is yelling things from the back of the store. The sales associate on the register is also the only one who knows how to operate the helium tank. That person rings up one customer for three balloons; then puts them to the side. They ring up the next customer who (surprise!) wants balloons, as well. And then the next customer... By this time, the first customer (let's just say that's me) is wondering why the two lingering associates aren't offering to take over the register so the helium tank operator/associate can start blowing up the balloons. But that would be too logical. This is the scenario every single time I visit Party City and can so easily be avoided if everyone knew how to operate the helium tank. This store has a great variety of balloons, but who wants to wait in line for 20 minutes because one person is carrying the entire front of the store? read more

Gotta hit this place up for any and everything that is related to a party or having a good time. I come here all the time to purchase balloons and things for birthdays and special occasions. Since it is a specialty store, they do have many, many things that your traditional big box stores don't carry but be prepared to pay a premium for them. Most recently I came with a friend here to look at costumes for her daughter and I was VERY impressed with not only the selection of costumes, but also the selection process. There is a wall full of pictures of the different costumes and every costume has a number. You tell the employee who is manning the section which number you want and they put it in their handheld device and then you are instructed to go to the entrance of the stockroom and wait. Once at the stockroom door, another employee calls your name and gives you the costume. It was a very efficient process. read more

Placed my order online, it was confirmed, notified when delivery was scheduled, and personally texted by delivery person they were on the way. I told person it was surprise and could they let me know when they were close. She did and I was able to be on the phone with my sailor when delivery happened! Party City usually has what I need for balloons or decorations. However, the service at this location is consistently slow. You cant really find an employee to help in the aisles. I feel like the cashiers are probably going as fast as they can but still the line takes FOREVER! It's so frustrating that I hate coming into a Party City and try to order things online as much as possible. Also, the prices for purchasing and blowing up balloons is exorbitant to say the least! THE WORST PARTY CITY ! the line is Always super long & understaffed. i work on a lot of events at my job,which is close by so i try to stop in quickly to pick something up but i never manage to get out without waiting in a line for at least 10 minutes yet i always see employees wandering aimlessly. A really great location. They are super friendly even when they are busy. I wish more people worked there though. They get super slammed and they have so many balloons to blow up! Definitely ask them when is the best time to pick up. They are very knowledgeable about balloons and how long before they start to deflate. The new location is a big improvement over the last one. It's bigger and has much better parking. But that's where the good news ends. This would be a GREAT location if it weren't for the subpar service. That's not to say it's all bad, but when I'm rung up I could at least use a little eye contact and some acknowledgement from my cashier at the register. I've been to this specific party city about 3 times within the past year and each time I feel like it's really hard to find someone for help, or the store is cluttered and things aren't where they're supposed to be (but I feel like most party city's are cluttered). I recently came looking for parts of a Halloween costume and it seems as though they have less full costumes available than previous years. Party city is an awesome place to find pieces for a costume though, the accessories are endless! I also appreciate how they're party sections are color coded so you can easily match your decorations! I realized I needed an accessory for my Halloween costume and decided to come real quick and get it. I definitely chose the worst time to but something. You can't even walk here. It's crazy. And unfortunately it took me a little to find the accessory. There is lot of people working today but almost everybody is only in the costume aisle. There is nobody working in other areas in the store. But party city is by far the best in the area, you can find everything you need, even things you didn't think about adding to your costume! I love their products, I wish they were a little bit less expensive though. They have very simple skirts for $18, thin gloves for almost $13, it's ridiculous. I have been a loyal customer to this store but I am very disappointed in the service I received by the manager Eric. He was very rude about them not filling my online order two days late. Then when I said I needed it within a few hours, I was told about his list of things he had to do. He was soo busy. So I go into the store and literally does nothing to help. Spoke with Kane the general manager and he was fantastic. Seriously, all it takes is a good attitude but Eric made me never want to shop at any party city ever again. read more
