Started with a simple call with Barry (Principal) about a year out and he told us he personally was available on the night of our wedding. Barry is a firecracker and the energy within him is contagious. He talked about all the things that set him apart from other event companies in the Boston area. Highest of materials from Germany on his uplighting and his pin lights. Talked about the white dance floor he has and what makes it different than others. We got a price from him and told him we would get back to him. Over the next week, we reached out to a few other event companies and al a carte service providers and realized at the end of the day Barry was the way to go with one of his packages!! As soon as we were under contract with him with received a very comprehensive package to start crafting our event to be what we wanted as much as using the techniques Barry knows work.... Occasionally we got texts from Barry checking in and calls just to get to know us. He wanted to know who he was going to be representing on our special night and we loved this part of Barry. He truly cares about the people he works with and the behind the scenes work he does for an event is unbelievable. About a week before the event we had a zoom call with our event planner and Barry Tobin out the details, go over name pronunciations and song edits for first dance, spotlight dances and grand entrances. Barry wasn't checking his watch because a meeting that was supposed to be one hour was over 2 hours and left everyone ready for the day!! Barry also informed us he personally went to the venue ahead of this meeting to get a feel for the room.... It showed the day of!! Now we fast forward to the wedding day.... The venue (Danversport) gave an unrealistic get ready time for the vendors involved in this event. Barry brought his team in at pre 8am to lay the dance floor down knowing he wasn't going to have the needed time with only 1.5 hours of setup that Danversport was allowing per contract. I got videos from Barry pulling up to the venue on a bright and sunny day as he wasn't getting himself and his team ready to start "building out the box."' I used this line the entire day and still because the room we had was made stunning by the uplighting, pin lights, shinny dance floor, LED DJ station and of course the work of our amazing florist (separate review). The room was transformed and it was amazing to see the amount of people on Barry's team running around in PTE shirts setting up outside drones, video for the ceremony, Lav mics for the ceremony and music for the cocktail hour. It was unbelievable!!!! My guests are STILL talking about this wedding and we owe a major thank you to Barry and the team at PTE. The lighting was stunning in this room and it really did transform the venue from very nice to stunning!!!

The website to set everything up was very easy and nice to be able to pick exactly what songs we wanted for different parts of the night so Ron could get a feel for what type of music we were looking for. He took the time to meet with me and my daughter and to carefully learn the names of everyone in her wedding party and worked with us to build a playlist for her wedding. He gave us great advice in creating a timeline for her wedding reception and executed it seamlessly on her wedding day. He was on time, professional, full of energy and made my daughters wedding reception a blast. He played the perfect songs at the right times so the dance floor was never empty! Unbearably bad. If I had spent my money on this DJ, I'd be demanding my money back…read more It was a three hour long medley of isolated vocals set to 120bpm garbage club tracks. One slow song to start the night and not one single slow song for the entirety of the event. It's a WEDDING. People want to hear slow songs and music that was performed with real instruments. These guys actually turned down multiple requests from guests for songs every DJ should absolutely have. It's not about you, dude. Play music other people like. Everyone over about 30 sat miserably at their tables waiting for a slow song or even just a good song. By the end of the night The guests were just hoping that at least the last song would be something you could actually dance to. But no, just more teenage club music garbage. They also apparently insisted on bringing their own hideous rainbow light up dance floor. It's not even remotely big enough for even an average size wedding. I guess without prep burger you can't expect much from a hack DJ. He'd be great for a junior high prom, though.

I have been deciding for the lasts couple of months wether to even write a review and I normally…read morelike to give businesses the benefit of the doubt because i know all weddings can't be 100 percent perfect but for the money this company charges you should read this . I'm not sure who dropped the ball but I feel that with all the great meetings we had with the company and they were very specific on how everything was suppose to be planned out in writing and on their website the they have set up so I would put the blame on the DJ himself. I really just felt like he half assed it . Not to say DJ Dane was all that bad the wedding for the most part went fantastic but it felt like the job he did was the only glaring miss step out of an otherwise perfect night. Now I'm not mad at anyone I'm really only writing this so that when people see that they are "the knot" approved that they know exactly what their getting. I'll give a quick description of my problems with his mistakes . The ceremony went great we had them set up a mike which went fine ( he miss cued the song as we were walking down the isle after the ceremony so it didn't start playing til we at the very at the end). The cocktail hour was perfect ( no problems there) be when he was making the introductions for the wedding party into the reception hall he shuffled the order so we had scramble to make sure everyone came out at the right time (again did not have any song cued up right) . And basically almost all the songs we requested during the reception were played during dinner and when it came time to dance he started playing disco (something we made perfectly clear we didn't want at all) but we told him to stop and play something this generation which finally got some people on the dance floor( other than my disco lovin aunt) and he did that whole dollar dance trick that I've seen at every other wedding that got some people up . The reception stuff went fine( i.e. the cake cutting ,the first dance , the last dance) but we had to remind him to do the father daughter dance and the throwing of the bouquet ( which ended up not doing to save time and because most of the people at the wedding were married). Now I'm not all sour grapes about it the owner of the company was great and i would recommend the back lighting ( well worth the extra money) we had a fantastic night but we went to a lot of weddings this past summer and we by far had the worst D J . And had the most expensive one (we paid over 2000 for them) i would still recommend this company again just not DJ Dane.

He recommended my photographer but he wasn't what I had hoped for. Another thing is I think he got all wrapped up into the wedding that he forgot to say who won the centerpieces after we did a game.
