This business is careless about costumer satisfaction, the focus is getting you to purchase. Once your money is in that register it's never coming out. Leslie, the person behind the counter specifically said "if you bought them right now.... I wouldn't let you return them, I won't accept your return if I consider it a food product" (We're talking about, Its a boy/girl cigar announcement bubble gum) I try to support local businesses even if the prices are higher than the chain stores, that being said I expect better costumer service! The receipt doesn't mention a word about "food products". I paid $26 for the same product that's going for $15 at Party City in Roseville. For all your party-planning needs! We rented a helium tank from here for our New Years Eve party. The woman working the front counter was helpful to us in picking the tools that would suit our needs, and she was also very patient with the elderly, indesicive woman in front of us. It was sweet. They had a package where we got a small tank of helium, 75 balloons and ribbon for about $60... a pretty good deal, considering we actually filled closer to 125 balloons. Nice! Also, returning the tank was problem-free, even though it took us almost 3 weeks to get it back to them. The store is FULL of party decor, for damn near every occasion. Truth be told, it's pretty chaotic feeling in there... lots of sparkles and ribbons. Verdict: If you're planning a party and want to impress, Party Land is definitely worth a looksie. read more

Love the employee energy and the willingness to help the day I was spending money in the store.. However I was in a little bit of a hurry while looking for a balloon I wanted it took longer than I thought it would. Ended up 25-30 minutes to the time I needed to be at a memorial and they found a different balloon that would be suitable. While one employee was working on the balloon I asked could I cash out with the other employee. For a $23 and change balloon I paid $43 in change. I gave the lady a $104 and she gave me $60 and the change which was approx 50 cents. I did not notice as I was in a hurry. So I Call back to tell them what had happened next morning . when I was done at the memorial they were already closed. I waited all day to hear back from them only to hear that they were one penny over in their drawer. Okay so I love the energy in the store and the employees were very kind when they were ready to take my money. A touch cold and uncaring about the $20 error. I would recommend them only if you are paying with the exact change or a card. I will use them again but the next time I will be very sure to not be in a hurry and pay attention. This review has came upon due to my wife and I recently shopping there. We found most things there nice and pleasant but we did have a problem with the helium tank we rented. It was professional grade, so I was really surprised that we had an issue. We blew balloons up for our daughters birthday around 10:30 am, by 12:15 p.m we could no longer use them, they were on the ground. We made sure they were tight and not leaking. Key-point- (before leaving the store we asked an associate if "stay up"will be needed,gel like substance that's poured in balloons before helium to "STAY UP". She said no its not needed. So we returned the tank and tried to receive a partial refund, lady was unhelpful and just denied anything, we weren't accusing her or blaming her. I understand Helium Atoms can escape but if not mixed right their could be a loss in atoms in the tank thus causing a bad batch. Yes shop, just be wary that they are not refund friendly or care for helping customers out. If something occurs. Sucks especially when you spend some good amount of money shopping there. read more

Like a lot of reviews have mentioned, I always try to shop local, even if prices are a bit higher. For the inconvenience of driving out of town or waiting for shipping I will justify paying extra. But Party Land has high prices and horrible customer service!! Never shopping here again!! My daughter's birthday was coming up in a few days and I needed balloons. Stopped at party land and found 3 cute balloons on a stick which were perfect for centerpieces. I was interested in buying more as well since there was only 3 on the floor. But the sticks were curved and the balloons floppy. I asked the puffy haired woman behind the counter if she could do anything about the sticks or balloons because these balloons were perfect for the party, and she straight up said "you don't have to buy them!!" So rude! I politely replied but I WANT to buy them. She replied "well those are the last ones I'm not getting anymore until Monday." I remembered I had sticks at home that I could substitute since she was rude and offered absolutely no help. I ended up buying the balloons because I loved them and I new my daughter would too (which she did). But that is the last time they get my business. Made a preorder of $150 dollars, paid for it, and the day of pick up I called and they told me the order was ready, when I got the store to pick up my order the lady which is apparently the owner said that the order was never placed and that she couldn't refund me my money, and was beyond rude. A MUST for any party planner! I came here looking for last minute Bridal Shower supplies, but what I found was that I paid way too much for every party I planned in the last few years. Wow! Excellent selection of decorations and favors for ALL types of parties. Great quality too! These decorations go for up to double the price in other places I've looked. The floor plan makes searching through their products a breeze. Very well organized for the amount of things they have. I was super impressed. The girl at the register was extremely helpful. She had no problems checking with the owner over the phone about my questions she couldn't answer completely. Amazing the customer service. If I could give this place a zero I would. Purchased $85 worth of balloons Friday. Told the lady that we were going to be heading up to the mountains. She said she wouldn't fill them as full because they would act as if they were a bag of chips and inflate. By the time we got there Friday (3 hours later) all the balloons had popped. I went in to talk to the manager. She was extremely rude and told me that it's not her problem and that's the chance you take when you buy something. I wasn't asking for my money back. I asked her for store credit. Not even for the full amount but for 1/2 the amount. She adamantly said NO. I said so you have the authority to do it but won't. She said that's right. I have never been treated so poorly. As a small business in a small town, I think it's important to shop local. However, I will never give this place a dime again. I normally don't leave reviews and I have gone here in the past and had no issues- which is why I will give them two stars. I wanted a big bow for a father's day gift. The owner (I think) opened the bug red bow and began to pull it together to try and be helpful-which I appreciated. During this process she accidentally broke the strings that pull it together, she began to try and fix it/ which she said she did by tying the strings together. This is all fine and I appreciate her trying to fix it, but now its broke. I asked her can she discount the balloon since it was broken. She said - ha- kind of giggled then said - NO- you don't have to take it. She said it like -am I kidding her- I would have taken it even if she only knocked a $1 off the $10 bow- but now she is stuck with a bow she can't sell because its opened and broke (shame). I purchased 2 Mylar balloons for my grandsons 3rd birthday. The first one deflated within 1 hour. So I brought it back to the store a few days later and wanted another one for my grandsons actual kid party. It should have had only deflated a little bit at that point, but it was completely flat. The manager there would not credit my credit card or give me a new balloon. She said I had to buy a new one. I bought a new one and paid full price again, however that balloon deflated within one hour again. When I called immediately, I was told to just come back again (which would have been a third time) and I would get another one. I told her I did hot have the time to just go back and forth. So when I brought in the balloon 2 days later, she wanted to give me another balloon, although the party was over. She would not credit me but only give me store credit that did not include the full amount that I paid. I felt as though I was being accused of deflating the balloon and that my business was not even valuable to the store. The manager's name is Leslie Brooke and she comes across very cold and someone that does not want to give her customer's service. All she would say is that their balloons are very good balloons. So after wasting over $60.00 in the store, I now have a store credit of $27.99. I don't even want to shop there anymore. This manager needs to learn to service her customers and treat them like they are valuable. She would not even budge to help me out, but accused me of causing the problem the first time. If i could do zero stars. I WOULD. This place is horrible. Customer service couldn't get any worse. I bought a bunch of 15 balloons. (The lady was rather rude to me but I ignored it) 2 hours later they are limp and about the size of my fist. 2 HOURS LATER. I didn't subject them to anything crazy. I called and politely told the lady, "you had mentioned my balloons would last 2-3 days and they haven't lasted 2-3 hours..." All she could tell me was "I've been blowing up balloons all day and mine don't look like that" When I asked for replacement balloons, she said she wouldn't but I could come back and buy more. This was horrendous. I cannot believe they are still in business. You couldn't pay me to buy balloons from this place again. read more

The day I ordered the balloons she acted like she was too busy to help me and asked me to wait in line for another associate, who ended up having to go back to the manager for answers to my questions. When I called to get a refund or replacement they told me I would have to wait over a week for the manager to get back from vacation to address the issue. I needed some balloons for a birthday party I was having and had been in the store a couple of times prior and always had the "owner" helping me and she has always been VERY nice but the other day when I was in to get balloons I had another girl helping me and she was awesome !!! VERY nice AND helpful and even helped me get all the balloons (like 30 of them) in to my little car (in the rain) !!! I watched her with other customers and she was very welcoming and like I said earlier VERY nice !!! She told me she worked there and at another business and all I could think was she has an awesome customer service attitude for working two jobs with the public (I know how rude & awful (customers) people can be) !!! The store is GREAT with all the products they have and is VERY reasonably priced. I ordered a LOT of stuff from Amazon for the party and I could have bought it right there in their store for the same price &/or less.
