We've been members for nearly 3 years and love this place more and more each year. Lawrence is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable of wine. We love Pinots and Parum Leo's are consistently our favorite. We are so excited that Lawrence is bringing more varietals to the menu. The Sav Blanc and Rosé are also summer favorites and the best picnic/potluck addition. The patio is also one of my favorite places to relax on a weekend with rolling hill views and grape vines steps away. For a winery so close to the bay, it is local gem just up the 101. read more

My three girlfriends and I had a lovely wine tasting here! The property is small but lovely. You can wander the vineyards a bit and they have a great outdoor seating area. The owner is kind and explained the wines nicely. We really enjoyed the rose and the reds we tried. They even brought a little complimentary spread with olives, crackers, and cheese! Our host, Kelly, could not have made our experience any better! She was so fun and knowledgeable taking us through our tasting! The tasting room itself is beautiful and right outside is a Pinot noir by the incredible outdoor seating area. I came yesterday with my parents after searching online to find a winery to go to and this one stuck out due to the reviews. The tasting is 5 wines for $25 and even includes a cheese plate with olives and crackers. I really loved the 2018 Russian river pinot noir and 2019 calesa pinot noir my 2 favorites. Didn't love the 2020 estate Pinot noir my least favorite out of the pinot noirs. The 2020 Santa Clara valley merlot was also very good. It is a small family owned winery which specializes in pinot noirs. The owner was very nice and explained each wine and even explained Parum leo means little lion. I definitely would recommend it for the wines and for the price. It was busy for a Sunday but I was able to make a 3pm reservation a few hours before. read more

Had a lovely pour from our server who then introduced us to the owner Lawrence. His passion for the vineyard is clear. And he an my partner who works in agriculture had a delightfully nerdy conversation about his growing techniques which I enjoyed sampling the wines. Our favorite was the Coastal Pinot noir. (And also the estate Pinot noir.) the tasting room is sleek and tastefully design but still comfortable and welcoming. I'm glad to have found this place so close to 101. What a lovely gem of a winery in a region rife with excellent vintners. You will need to reserve your tasting in advance but the price is super fair. Expect some delicious and unusual variations on the usual profiles. Their Sauvignon Blanc has all the dryness you want but a less acrid finish than typical. A real treat. The Pinots are very interesting with enough nuance to satisfy all but the most critical palates. The true star of the show however is their 2020 Chardonnay! Best I have ever enjoyed (I'm a five decade wine drinker). In fact, I am sipping some right now at home as I write this. I told my sister that it tastes like a traditional buttery chardonnay had a fling with a traditional Italian Soave and this is their love child! The owner is affable, charming, and an absolutely delightful host! Make sure you ask about their namesake and his journey to Sonoma. All in all, expect a surprisingly low key yet truly satisfying visit. read more

We were able to get a reservation for a wine tasting on a Saturday afternoon. The setting is lovely, with a small vineyard and relaxing outdoor seating area. I tried their 3 pack "Sampler Pack" wines a while ago. They delivered to my house in a timely manner. At that time the winery was new and the tasting room wasn't open yet. The wines themselves though did not stand out. I was very disappointed as the previous winery at this location - Kastania Vineyards- made good Pinot Noir. The Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Merlot from the sampler pack were bland and tasted like inexpensive commercial supermarket wine. Maybe they make wine in a style that doesn't appeal to me. That said, the wines had almost no fruit flavors in them and tasted flat and earthy. They also tasted out of balance to me. Not the style I prefer. I want to give this business another chance though. Hoping their single vineyard wines and reserve wines have more complexity and balance than the sampler pack. I will likely next time try a tasting at the tasting room to see if the reserve wine has more to offer than the sampler pack. read more

The owners at this winery are the best when it comes to attention to detail. From the tasting room design to the amenities offered. Everything feels like you're a guest at a friends house while still maintaining professionalism. We were there on a weekend perhaps 1.5 hours before closing and had a fun time chatting to the owner. Myself and a family member did a wine tasting here because of all of the fabulous reviews we read online and we had the same terrific experience as many others. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance for a Sunday afternoon. The weather was amazing, 60's and sunny so we sat outside. The views were beautiful, all is so lush and green right now. As many others noted Laurence is very knowledgeable about the industry and while we have done more than 10 tastings over the last few years we learned the most in this one. Laurence walked us through how the droughts - and rains - and many other factors influence the grapes and the wine - it was truly fascinating. The other member of my party is in the process of getting a secondary degree in sustainability and Laurence also shared his thoughts there. In addition to all that we learned the wine was terrific, I look forward to coming back in the near future. read more

Great experience overall! First off, the wine was amazing. We got to meet the winemaker (laurence), and not only was he knowledgeable about the region and wines, but was also a blast to hang with. Definitely a place that should be seen as comfortable and inviting without losing anything in the process. The place was just rehabbed completely it looks like, so the tasting room and outdoor area was really nice. The vineyard is smaller, but this definitely allows you to explore a little more than usual and is a plus. We only tasted in the outdoor area after walking through the indoor tasting room, but there is also a nice shaded area in the vineyard that I think you can go to. How many times have you tasted five wines at a winery and truly enjoyed every single one? That happened to all four of us that went winetasting there this week. You might call us wine, lovers, wine, snobs, or even winos. One of us is in the industry and two of us grow our own grapes. Parum Leo is amazing. We had our sons first birthday in their private picnic area and were so happy we did! Not only was the wine superb but the ambiance was incredible. The kids played games in the vineyard while the parents drank wonderful wine under a giant oak tree- it was picturesque and so family friendly. With many of our guests coming from the Bay Area, the location is excellent - it is probably the closest vineyard to the city and a perfect start to your wine country weekend. Parum Leo is the perfect first stop in wine country. They produce just 1,000 cases a year of their delicious wine, so it was really special. The winemaker spent so much one-on-one time with us.
