They recommended that we come back during a certain window and Pascal would certainly come and say hi and take a picture. This was true. He didn't brush us off. Improper lifting of color was done by Amanda 2. Improper mixing and application of the purple highlights/color was done by Amanda Although Lisa was quick to respond as the manager at Pascal Pour Elle when a refund was requested, the 'proper' refund with the 3.9% up-charge that Pascal adds on CC, took a week of chasing. --The icing was her trying to blame the awful disastrous outcome on 'build-up' from box color??!!! I've been coming here since I was a kid. Pascal was my stylist until David his cousin took me on. I have to say I've always left in awe over my experience. I come in and start with a French Vanilla at their coffee bar wile I wait for my shampoo. During the shampoo you not only get a scalp massage, working in the shampoo and conditioner, but you also get a back massage from the massage chair they put you in during the wash. To talk about the vibe, It's always busy with business here. As you walk through to the atrium to get you hair washed, you pass all the stylists and all the patrons intertwining perfectly together within such a beautiful building with incredible architecture, topped with a stained glass ceiling in the main atrium. They have a beauty salon on the second floor as well with all the luxuries to take care of one's needs and when you are on you're way out, they have a huge wall of products to choose from if your interested in shopping before you go on you're way. It's been like walking into a different world and when you're done, you walk back out into the world you left. 5/5 on all fronts. read more

Stay away from them specially Ellen She ruined my blonde existing highlights and messed up the roots color which was supposed to be matched with the rest in a natural blonde tone. She left me with brassy , orangish on-even hair which is now damage as well because of over processing attempting to fix the horrible job she did! I showed her my old highlight's when they were fresh and trusted her capability of what she is about to do,but she wasn't able to lighten back of my head hairs at all even though we agreed with full highlights, then put a wrong toner,( dark brown) then tried to remove the toner, messed up more and at the end blamed their lighting! What a fantastic salon filled with talent. I had been going here for years and then switched to a salon downtown closer to my new condo. I tried and tried to match the results I got at Pascal but failed miserably. I was stuck with dark roots when all i wanted was to be blonde! I am a natural dark blonde and am very particular with my highlights. I highly highly recommend any hairdresser in this salon, but specifically Bobbi. He is so talented and I always leave so happy! I get my haircut by Davíd who has been cutting hair for 30+ years and is originally from Paris. He is worth every dollar. In general, you will not regret coming here. Amanda is the best hair colorist I have ever had in my life. She changed my hair completely and not only is my hair the healthiest it's ever looked it, it is so blonde and perfect ( thanks to Amanda). In addition, Tula is the best hair stylist and cutter ever. Poor customer service. Rude owner who fights not only with staff but clients. Colorists often put color and leave the salon without checking if color came out correctly. Happened few times and when reported that color did not come out correctly, owner would not accommodate. He is unprofessional, uneducated, short tempered man. He has gone to courts against his own employees. Salon also kept sending emails to clients about sensitive topics without any regard to feelings of his clients. You have a right to have your opinion and support any religion, nation or group but do not impose your decisions on clients. It is a business where they should be sensitive to clients feelings. He also seems racist against certain cultures and religions. He should announce on his website that this business is not for this religion people. read more

Amanda Tisinai is the colorist I love. I couldn't be happier with every color she has done for me. Believe me I put her up to a challenge as i always love the bright neon colors. She has always come out with a win and the outcome always been more amazing then i can even imagine. She has been my colorist for over 10 years. I constantly get complaints on my hair from complete strangers even while it's in a messy bun. You want a professional and amazing job done she is the one. She goes over the details and the process of your color making sure that you're both on the same page. When I moved to Florida for 2 years I was searching for a colorist like Amanda and i just couldn't find one. When I moved back she was the first one I saw immediately lol. Was recommended by a family member to see Bobby for color and Nicole for cut and style. I told both of them I " wanted a change"- and I LOVE my new style and color. Both of them could not be any more accommodating or nicer. I was a bit nervous walking in is that I had never been there before and you often hear stories about snobby north shore salons. This is definitely not one of them. I was greeted warmly at the door and one of the receptionist took me on a tour of the salon. as I walked around, Nicole came up to me and introduced herself to me saying she wanted to meet me before my color appointment. The rest of the salon visit was seamless and I will definitely return! Everyone is very nice! They are constantly cleaning too. One tip: they prefer cash or check and if you use a credit card there is a fee attached. They waived the fee for me as it was my first visit. But this is a good thing to know before you go. Very nice salon! I got a fantastic cut from Nicole (with master stylist, Marci, supervising the final outcome). I was there for close to an hour and a half, but I'd rather a stylist take their time and do good work than not. I even left with some hair care pointers and I've figured out what I've been doing wrong with conditioner all this time. I was even able to re-create the style the next morning! I have never left a salon so happy!! I have had a few bad experiences in the past with hair coloring - enough to make me want to stop trying to color my hair entirely. I saw Jojo for my color and I immediately knew it was going to be a good experience. I showed her 2 photos at the start of the appointment and felt like she knew exactly what I wanted/needed. She absolutely nailed it!! Jojo was welcoming, friendly, and made me feel at ease the entire appointment. The salon was super busy that day (it was a Saturday), but she really took her time with me. I got my hair colored today and when I got home, I was able to get a better view of how well the color turned out! Bobby honestly did such an amazing job with my hair. When I first moved to the burbs I vowed I'd always go into the city to get my hair done. Six months later I'm even happier with my stylists in da burbs. Cut, color, wax, etc...you can get it ALL done at Pascal Pour Elle. Cut and Style: When I called I asked who was a pro with curly hair and the receptionist said (without any hesitation) Irina. When I first met Irina I understood why she'd been recommended because she's got some mad curls on her head. If my curls were half as fabulous as hers I'd actually wear mine curly. I briefly wondered if I should have asked for a pro who can get curly hair straight. Fortunately, Irina turned out to be a pro at just that. I've visited her 3 times now and am due for a 4th visit! Color: decided to trust my fellow yelpers on this one and went with Marissa. She made me feel super comfortable after just minutes in her chair. I absolutely loved the results and within days of getting my color done received several compliments from friends, strangers, etc. Unfortunately, a few weeks later one small area in the front of my hair ended up brightening up and almost looked like I was turning grey. I rushed back to Marissa. She mentioned she was so happy I came back and fixed it immediately (at no charge). It stayed perfect until it was time to pay Marissa another visit; and she got it 100% right the 2nd time. I have a feeling I'll be a customer of hers for a long time. Waxing: Diane seems to be one of the few people at Pascals who runs on time so you may want to get there even a few minutes early for her. She's good, fast and makes good conversation during a painless waxing process. Hair wash: Extra stars for one of the assistants here, Evan, who asked me in March when I'd be returning to school after spring break. Ha! He also works wonders with a hairdryer. I'm usually not a fan of being passed off to an assistant for a blowdry after a cut (Irina was running behind on this particular day), but was OK with it since Evan's one talented dude. read more

Went in today for a 1 inch trim with a new stylist for a $100 haircut. Explained to the stylist what I had in mind she insisted that I takeoff much more than I had planned showed me a picture and I said no that is not what I want. She said she was confused and didn't understand what I wanted... It was a very uncomfortable experience and I should've walked out. Instead I walked out with a very unattractive haircut the one that she wanted not that I wanted. I won't be going back. read more

You will not find better trained stylists and colorists anywhere on the North Shore, period. You may get seemingly just as good of a haircut elsewhere, especially upon initially walking out of the salon, but, man, a cut from Pascal's even grows out beautifully. Gorgeous interior with a stained glass ceiling, dark wood floors, plush upholstery, light walls, and an open, airy feel. The salon also offers hot chocolate, a variety of coffee drinks, and water for free-- but, baby, when you pay your bill you'll know how that espresso machine got paid for. The downsides? I miss Amanda. What a fantastic, friendly stylist that was always receptive to my ideas and willing to make suggestions when I came in all indecisive-like. Jee does an amazing job but doesn't have the conversational skills of the incredibly talented, warm Briton that recently left for greener pastures. I had initially been tentative to get my hair cut upon reading some of the less-than-heartening reviews, but I had thought it be best to move forward regardless, because it had been so near to where we live, as well as their price being lower than many of the other higher-rated salons. Fortunately, I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Pascal Pour Elle that had far exceeded my expectations. My stylist had been Tony Kelly, who was attentive, friendly, and professional. Although we had not connected much past that professional degree, he had nonetheless done an extremely good job cutting my hair. It had been quite a drastic change (very long hair to very short), and he acknowledged that fully and proceeded with caution. To my surprise, he worked quickly, but this did not at all impact the final result. He appeared very experienced, and he knew full well what he was doing. Frequently he asked me before continuing, to make absolutely sure, which I really appreciated. In the end, again, I was extraordinarily satisfied with the haircut. Apparently some others were too, as immediately afterward I was given a sum of compliments that likely flattered me a lot more than they should have. Tony was kind of enough to, since it was my first true short haircut and such a drastic change, offer to help me out on any concerns that may arise in the near future. I have been going to Tina Rizzo at Pascal pour Elle for many many years. She is a very professional and very talented colorist. She is the only person I trust with my blonde hair and I cannot speak highly enough of her and the entire team at Pascal!! After many years, she knows exactly the kind of color I want. The hair colorist was kind, but my hair looks very fake dark, which is not what I asked for (I asked for a rich brown). The haircut itself is the worst I have gotten in years. I wear bangs, but the stylist had her own idea in mind, and made the "bangs" on one side of my head very short, gave me a part, and then left me with long "bangs" on the other side. And then she blew it out and it looks awful. I can't get my short bangs back, so I jus left, and all that for the great price of over $200 (if you use a credit card you get charged a fee). I have frequented this salon for a VERY long time. When I first started going there it was top notch. Hence why i would return. However, as of late I have to say I have to be done with the place as far as a haircut is concerned. For color I do like Marissa. Charlotte is awesome for facials. But for a haircut, I have had less than desirable experiences finding a regular stylist there since my stylist left. I just think quality has been sacrificed in that dept. a bit which I find to be rather disappointing. UPDATE: (August 2015) I decided awhile ago to give the hair cut thing one more try there, and found Marci to be fantastic. Claudya is absolutely incredible! From the moment I walked in she couldn't have been Nicer! She cut my hair exactly to my specifications making it healthy & vibrant while not loosing any length. The salon is also Gorgeous from the stained glass dome visible from the hair washing stations to the Art Deco sconces & mirrors. They have exquisite decor, Incredibly friendly & knowledgeable staff, & fantastic products (Oribe & Amika etc) couldn't have been a better experience!! Rude!!!! Rude!!!!! Rude!!!! Every time I call to make an appointment or show up for an appointment, i am met with rudeness. The women who answer the phone are RUDE, in a hurry and act as if I am bothering them. The women at the front desk are the same way and are probably the same people. I would get my hair done more often if it were not for the front desk "ladies". I have the misfortune of having my hair stylist work there. That is the only reason I ever go to the Glencoe location (or any other). When she leaves I will rejoice never to have to set my foot in that unfriendly, rude, hurried place again. read more
